Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????

A trip over the dittecch and I'm in the land of the big white cloud. Yep, Made it to Christchurch and onto Dunedin for a week of caching. DAY Three, (24/10) yep, its the same crew of Bluewattle, Snickersallan, Wollaston and myself touring around town. Today we are doing a series of challenge caches, some solved puzzle caches and a few multis. It's a long drive to Diamond Harbour and Deep Gully Bay before heading over to West Melton and surrounds to get some of the eclipse series. Had a few others on the list as we passed by collecting some of Christchurchs cool caches. There are a few set target caches along the way. The are some amazing areas of Christchurch and I have enjoyed driving around and seeing the fantastic sights, thank you for showing us around. All logs were signed and all caches replaced as found. Thanks for the placements.

24-Oct-24
Our second full day of venturing out and about with Aussie geo friends, picking up some solved puzzles, and selected others on our to-do list.It was a beautiful spring day, with lots of laughs and fun along the way. Most of the hides were found quickly, and it is a real credit to all the cache owners who placed them for the benefit of the geocaching community.

Accio 23:59:59My first visit to South Island, and this is my first cache from the South Island. Over the ditch for the Dunedin Mega, and arrived at the airport here an hour ago, through customs etc and trotted over here to the hotel here for a few hours kip. But first - this cache. Easy peasy to find, in the dark, dead tired and somewhat adrenalin deprived. Perfect for this traveller. Thanks brodiewill for entertaining me at this location.Cool *{Overall find #12743}* Cool

A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything is booked and I just had to wait for today.Qantas tried to upset the trip a bit by delaying the flight for 1 1/2 hours but I have finally arrived.Picked up the luggage, worked out where to pick up the hire Geocar and now its time for a few caches before having to check in.Dodged a bit of traffic to make my to here and the cache was soon located and signed.People were probably wondering what I was up to.Thanks GeocachingCanterbury TFTC.

Day #1 - The Mega New Zealand ExperienceA chance for an overseas Mega was too good to pass up. Especially with half the state seeming to be attending also. I set about some last minute planning. Flights still available Accommodation found Mode of transport securedLooks like its time to cross the ditch. Ive never visited the South Island before so it is bound to be a fun filled trip. After catching an afternoon flight out of Melbourne, there wasnt much to do other than grab a couple of airport hides and head to my accommodation. There wasnt much traffic so it was easy to get to and explore undetected.A big thanks goes to GeocachingCanterbury for taking the time to add Airport Hotel 5 of 5 (Christchurch) to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).

We are visiting New Zealand for 2 weeks on a family holiday from Brisbane. Today we fly home from Christchurch. We decided to come straight to the airport after checkout so we arrived quite early. While the rest of my family sat waiting inside, I went for a walk to pick up a few last NZ geocaches. After finding all the other caches and AdLabs around the area, I headed back towards the airport and stopped to look for this last cache. Somehow I got my flags mixed up and looked for a while in the wrong garden. Once I realised my mistake, it was then a nice easy find.I brought a number of trackables with me from Australia and have been leaving them all over the South Island. I had 2 left and was hoping to leave them in Christchurch but I wasnt able to find suitable caches in the city. So I was glad to find this cache just before flying home so I could drop off the trackables. Hopefully someone else can take them travelling with them. Thanks again GeocachingCanterbury for this great TB Hotel! ??

Flying to Dunedin with a change of flights in CHC, just enough time to get the answer for a multi (hoping to get my coordinates before flying back in a couple of days) and to sneak in this one. My first roundabout GC was in Napier and I loved it. Nice sized container, two TBs in that I took along.

Cache found 17 Feb 24. My apologies for the delay in logging...I have a long backlog.Muggle-hubby and I were staying at an airport hotel as we were returning to Brisbane via Sydney at Stupid O'Clock in the morning. While he was relaxing, I was caching. I found the cache container quickly and easily, however there was a lot of rubbish nearby. I hoped the container wouldn't be accidentally removed by a keen gardener. I signed the log and took the TB that was there. Thanks, GeocachingCanterbury, for a good spot to give me something to do while being stuck at the airport.

(2 of 2 today)Gday from across the ditch. First time back in NZ since 2011, before I started caching. Here for the cricket test - and a few choice caches while Im at it.Had to start with the two at Christchurch airport. And I did. No problems with either.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Main issue here was picking the right route to take from the Virtual. Got there while my friend waited for a taxi.Did a circle of GZ before diving in. Pity about the rubbish accumulating in the area. A hazard of spots like this, I guess.Dived in for the grab, added my ink to the log and replaced.SLTNLNTFTC

I'm in Christchurch for a few days for work so of course I have to get some geocaching in. I came down a day early so I could get a rental car for the day to target some specific caches in the surrounding area.Arrived in plenty of time for my flight home so after checking in my bag I wandered down to grab a couple of last caches. Spent more time waiting for a gap in the traffic to cross over than finding, signing, and replacing the cache. Li6d of rubbish though. All good here and TFTC.Find #6452 at 28 February 2024 5:08 pm
