Thank you for hosting this geocaching event! The date of the event has passed. We automatically archive events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Oops, catching up logging. Snuck down with Mattycat.
Fun times, looking forward to the real deal.

Made my way down with Team Scoobster, and had a great time. The coffee was good, the Lions van was amazing (more donuts please!) and Mrs Scoobster and I did a roaring trade at the checkin desk! TFTC GeoVenture2020!
Today was the day that Rex and I followed Team Scoobsters and ttrogg for most of the day, then we separated about 3pm when I picked up muggle partner, who had ridden his bike down to Millicent, and made our way to the Millicent Community Celebration Event
We also had the pleasure of having the company of LiB, earthlight, The X-Trailers and JJ52 for a good part of the day too[:X] and RideTheGeoWalrus for a while in the afternoon
ttrogg had been chasing certain caches and so what I found reflected his choices and most of them suited my choices too
The first cache for the day was the infamous Don't Fall From Grace and it was great to have LiB there, alive and talking[^][:X], while the male monkeys made the climb
All up 11 from 1 event and 10 cache finds with only 1 DNF for the day
Lots of fun with new people to meet and familiar faces to greet.. again
I was stoked to win a Bingo game however I must remember: never leave GZ to chase a sign game because you miss out on the mass finding of a difficult UNAL when the CO climbs for a group
Thanks to all who organised a good weekend at the 'not quite' or is it 'Used 2B' a mega![:X]

Thanks for the Event

A great turn out as the centre provided toilets, food and a place to chat with other cachers.
There was even the group car convoy to a cache find in the dark.
I was enjoying the spread of Munzees in the area.
We also enjoyed listening to the interesting version of the Millicent business location game ideas by the trio tadis, very inventive.
Thanks for endless hours of preparation for the Celebration Event GeoVenture2020

A great weekend in Millicent for the Used 2B a Mega event. Nice to see everyone again! After several laps of the town I found all but two of the signs, apparently they are harder to find here than June LWE. But you have to wonder what goes on inside Mr Tardis' mind. Then off to climb a tree in the dark...
Thanks guys for the event!
Thanks guys for the event!
Had a caching day planned with LiB, earthlight and the X-Trailers out in the pine forests targeting some high D/T caches as well as some of LiB's cool creations. We ended up having a fun day that took us to Glencoe, Nangwarry and Kalangadoo, managing some group finds at the start of the day then leaving the group to do our thing. [^]
After a big day out we made our way to the event, met lots of people, did lots of talking, had a hamburger and a donut or two before finding a few more caches and the Adventure Lab before heading back to the caravan park.
Thanks for organising this event in lieu of the Mega, and I am looking forward to coming back again next year.

Huge day out with the hound finding caches around Millicent and Mount Burr. Geohusband had to work so reassessed my plan as now the hound was in tow. He had already been out hunting for 2 hours before we left the farm so was already pretty tired. He was then super excited about the road trip and wore himself out even more before we started finding caches.
He loved his day and apart from a scary moment when he got bitten by something (thinking bull ant) on his paw he had a most excellent time. We found 40 caches and enjoyed the celebration event (Rex had burger and donut scraps). He was still puffed on Sunday night.
We found some really cool caches and thank all the CO and especially the Mega committee for all their splendid efforts. We love country caching.
Fab event, lovely Lions catering TFTE

Great celebration event
Thank you to the event creators and for the great day (though it was a long drive, and it’s going to be a long night to get home tonight)
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will happily come back again

What a awesome event for our town. Thank you for organising this. Can't wait for the MEGA
First a big THANK YOU to the organising committee, you did a great job!
Last night at the pub was lovely and the food was great. Then today at the ‘Millicent Community Celebration Event’ it just got better! What a friendly and happy group of cachers! Met up with cachers we’d previously met at Clare before the world went mad! Who’d have known then that there would be no Millicent Mega! We had a a great afternoon getting help with a few puzzles that had left us clueless! Path tag swap, receiving our shirts and mega pathtags. Lions club doing hot doughnuts and a coffee van outside a great and comfortable venue.
Still this weekend is only half way through, with three more events to go, can’t wait! Thanks for a fun time. See you tomorrow ??

Attended and had a great time catching up with friends. Some many caching stories to swap, Trackables to discover and all around good time to have. [:X]

Great event, the small events are always good. Swapped some pathtags, caught up with quite a few people and ate too many donuts.
In Millicent for the long weekend and to attend the Geoventure 2020 Celebration Event..oh and to cache of course! Today was also a number building exercise to get us to our next milestone of 5000. Woohoo..Our first stop was the coffee van! awesome coffee, next the Lions van for a couple of snags and some chips..later we will also revisit for some doughnuts! caught up with cachers, signed in, chatted, updated, purchased a coin, traded some pathtags..it was like a teeny weeny mega... Attended this handsome event in the Taj Mahal of Millecent. This is a fun game.
This was part of the main reason for the weekend here, good to see so many people come and have a chat too. Thanks for the effort of organising
Today I didn’t have to much of a plan around the south east but just did a few here and there around port mac and the forest, before heading to the celebration event at Millicent.
39 finds for the day
Thanks for the cache

Very sincere thanks to the hardworking Mega Committee who have put in so much time over recent years for the 2020 Mega, only to have it relisted twice so far. Hopefully Oct 2021 will see the event finally happen.
This much smaller Community Celebration was enjoyed and appreciated by the many cachers who were able to attend.
So nice to catch up with and meet others who also enjoy this great game.
Great food and drinks on site and a very nice venue.
Many thanks to all involved.

An event to remember. Two years in the planning and it was just a meager shadow of the MEGA.

With the Mega event postponed again until 2021, the committee decided to thank the Millicent Community by holding a Community Celebration event...
There was a lot of pre-organising to get this to become a reality...
Started early...set up...coffee van & Lions arrived...committee get ready to welcome the first cachers through the door...great turnout...great food...great conversation...
Enjoyed presenting the beginners guide to geocaching session and the pathtag swap was well attended...
It event ended and we packed up...
Time for a rest for a bit...
Looking forward to the Mega event in 2021

The three of us came along to celebrate the Millicent caching Mecca. Some nice chips and donuts were consumed, and some good caching conversations were had.
Thanks for the event GeoVenture2020.
Thanks for the event GeoVenture2020.
This long weekend, I headed to the Limestone Coast / south-east to participate in the mini/unofficial Millicent GeoVenture2020 Mega weekend (Community Celebration event), as well as some cave diving in the morning to early afternoons. Saturday afternoon consisted of a trip around Tantanoola's pine forests, Sunday was more east around Mount Gambier and those pine forests, and then Monday was heading back spending some time in Dismal Swamp. A weekend of mixed weather with some nice afternoons, as well as continuous rain and drizzles (typical south-east weather?).
Today, I started out with a cave dive, finishing in the early afternoon. I only had a few hours before the main celebration event, so decided to head north to Tantanoola's pine forest for the new *STCL (Sadie The Cleaning Lady)* series. Wow, some of those were hard and tricky, spending a fair amount of time looking. A few more in the area and my vehicle getting temporarily bogged in the mud, before joining everyone in Millicent. A nice afternoon weather-wise.
This event was very well organised, and as much as I joke with the committee that I am part of the unofficial committee, I do think everyone has done a great job in organising this weekend, as well as continuing to organise the full mega with all the setbacks and COVID-19 issues. Hopefully Victoria returns to a state of normality, and the October 2021 event can continue to be held without any further hurdles or dramas. Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the event organisation - it was good to see the various minor activities organised too.

A sensational event with a lot of familiar faces and some new ones too. Let’s hope for a mega time next year without the Marshal requirements!! Great venue and thanks for the food and coffee people. I can recommend the dim sims.

Nice way to end a day of caching. Great to catch up and chat with fellow cachers.
Down in Millicent for the "Used 2B a Geoventure" celebration weekend.
Highlight of course was the mini mega gathering hosted by the longest serving mega committee (thanks for all your hard work guys and gals)
( Hopefully we'll be back for the big one when it's able to go ahead )
Teamed up with Sebastbat, and JEM.
Tada ! We made it to the geoventure.... or not... but was a nice gathering, saw some folks, got some stuff...
Took off to find the answers to an activity looking for signs around the town. It's 5am the next morning and we're still out looking. Maybe we'll finish this by the time covid lets the mega proceed.
Well done to the organisers. You never counted on that long a job on a committee hey!!! But much appreciated.
And resulted in another great weekend for many of us. We'll be back [8)]
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache on this corner of our caching map GeoVenture2020

Stay safe out there, caches and their hidey holes can be dirty!
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear,
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season gets to you and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least a roo or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun ! ! !

It was nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new people! Disappeared for a while with Locuscache to visit some local places to try and fill the event puzzle
Guess we are not allowed to come - and we are so close too. Have fun and fingers crossed we get there next year.
Stay safe everyone

I guess we need to face reality and accept the fact that we will be unable to attend this event. Have a great time everyone.

We will certainly be there so long as we are allowed to cross the border. We are wishing and praying that this will happen.
I plan on being in the area around then, so will drop in and join the celebration.
Hoping to attend... however this may conflict with a round of the SA rally championships which will take preference.
Watch out Millicent, here we come!
Hoping to have Sebastbat, JacktheMonkey, **JEM**, and froghoppin in or around our team!!!
Maybe more...
