Here in the land of the king white cloud to attend the mega in Dunedin. Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation! Today we targeted some oldies and virtuals . Much better weather and lots of fun. Travelling and caching as a group Qld+1. A big hike included! Cheers
Quick find as I recognised the container ??Woke up to a fabulous sunny day. Day 7 and running around tidying up wants and needs. Back to Kittykatch and Grimraider. Finally back in NZ and this time for a Mega. Starting in Christchurch before heading south. Lots to see and do with Kittykatch and Grimraider. Will be joining with others as the days go on.Thanks for getting me out and about Natalie247
Nice quick find here because we've seen these before. Thanks so much for the cache. Busy spot here today!
My last day in N Z attending the Mega but still time for a few caches before heading to the airport. Once at GZ the cache was found in good condition.
Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan, Ardom, Bluewattle, Gcoven & BenM70 on my first ever trip across the ditch. Log signed as QLD+1 to save some space. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. ?? TFTC Natalie247
Dunedin MegaOut caching with GrimRaider and Joolay. GrimRaider, Joolay and I are in NZ for the Dunedin mega event. It is great to be back to see more of this beautiful country. Thanks for hiding this cache Natalie247
Down for the MEGA with Supernannny and Net61 collecting some caches on the way. Quick find here while exploring the area. TFTC
A morning beach stroll on a much nicer day! Quite a change from yesterday at the same time and a quick find today - how'd I miss that yesterday eh? Cheers
Nice we container found on arrival. My story is we went on camping trip in 1999 to Papamoa. We borrowed the big tent and the kids had the other room. I went round to the beach on New Years Day and saw the weather report on the surf lifesavers board and it just had one word for the water condition warm and it was! Best beach holiday wed had. The surf was up today. TFTC
16:41FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCatI have found 36 total caches on 1st of January according to my profile stats Most of them would probably be in NZ, and not in my home country, as it's usually cold, dark and not the best caching weather there during that time.Easy D3 find here! And no need for tweezers.Kia ora! ???? Paldies! ????Thanks for the cache, Natalie247!#11506
Cache was easily located even if I did do some dodgy parking. Log was quite wet but still writeable. One of three caches I found before I even had breakfast. Having lost most of yesterday die to travelling issues (including flying into Christchurch twice in one day), I was keen to get on the road early and knock out some nearby caches.
Back in our hometown for a weekend of MEGA adventures.Weather looks to be improving since yesterday but still chilly for us now Bay of Penty softies!Enjoying another day touring around TFTC.
A quick find at this one. The wind was a bit bracing but we had a nice brunch at the pools. TFTC Natalie247.The morning was given over to having a crack at the airplane series, which was productive while it lasted, but soon ran into a snag with a closed road.So RG72 and I made the decision to head back in, source some food and keep the rest of the days caching close to home base so we could pop in first to do some pathtag swapping and the lab caches, and later on attend the prize-giving and farewell event. Thanks all COs.
We found OTD - 1st January (Otago) on a nice quiet weekend visiting Dunedin for Geo Toroa, meandering through the suburbs, seeking the occasional cache.I went for a quiet morning walk in the rain, stood here to get my bearings, headed to the other side of the road, came back and made the find. Not as small as I was expecting. Log is quite full Thanks Natalie247 for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves
Was thinking it was a different type on container given the need for tweezers. As it was, Miss 12 and I found it quickly and had no need for tweezers. Log full, but found a little space.
Here for the 2024 Mega with my friends from Auckland. All logs signed as SEAC. Sorry for the generic logs...so many caches....so little time. Thank you to all cache owners who took the time to place these caches
Team SEAC consisting of HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, UncleSam, Keylev and ourselves headed to Dunedin for the 2024 MEGA!All logs were signed as SEAC to save paper (except where specific signing requirements were requested)Second day of our Mega weekend. The weather was drizzling when we woke and sorta continued like that for most of the day. Thanks to all the CO's who had maintained the caches as we found a majority with fresh paper and containers!Found in blustery conditions.TFTC
We are in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend and today was our day to collect caches in the city. We are caching with UncleSam, Keylev, NZ Travellers, and Stik-a-crane, so have signed the logs with SEAC (South and East Auckland Crew). Thanks for the cache here
After the event, three of us walked back along the coastline to St Clair Beach finding a few caches along the way including this one. Tftc
After arriving in Dunedin yesterday to a sunny day, today was in stark contrast, with wind and rain....This did not dampen our spirits, as we travelled around town today collecting mainly adventure labs with KeyLev, NZTravellers, UncleSamNZ, HeMaLuDy and myself. Any of the caches needing to be signed in were done so using SEAC to save logbook space unless when instructed, when we signed individually. Thanks to all the CO's for setting and maintaining caches.TFTC.
Its Saturday morning very cold and raining => No Muggles around making something good from the nasty weather A lovely Mega to attend to and thanks for all the new released caches (plus all the ones which are waiting a bit longer to be found) was fun to find them, though mostly I just cued up to sign the logbook Tftc
I am attending the mega. The weather is cold, very cold, bitterly cold with a drizzle. However. HS, myself and friend braved the elements and went around St Clair looking for caches. Tftc.
In town for mega. Doing a small tiki tour before we recharge our batteries for tomorrow. Car stopped there you go & off you go. Quick easy find here. TFTC
OTD - 1st January (Otago)Dunedin MEGA Thursday! A bit of sightseeing and of course some caching. It was a great privilege to find some amazing caches in such a beautiful place. A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC Natalie247# 10590CheersWillis007
This ended up being a quick find due to exact coordinations. Thanks for sharing your cache.
Another day in New Zealand another day of exploring, driving an geocaching. After we arrived yesterday in Dunedin and had a short walk through the city (including the first log of a 11/2000 cache, we wanted to discover the Dunedin peninsula today.Unfortunately weather was not close as good as yesterday and we started a little later, but still managed to leave the camping ground before 11.After a few km onto the island there have been 2 caches on the bucket list, a tradi and a letterbox. letterboxes are not so common in Germany, so I wanted to take this one in the stats. Unfortunately at arrival on the cords i noticed that this is not a typical one but a kind of multi and we did not want to spend the time in the beginning of the day for a more time consuming search, especially after the last log was. DNF, so we skipped it for good.Next stop was at the Albatross Center, where we not only had a look in their small info Center and a good cup of coffee but also managed to do the letter box GC and also the virtual. And of course we had a look at the beach where the blue penguins are breeding and studied the albatrosses flying around, really majestic how they glide through the wind. After that we approached the Lab cache round at the fort, interesting that this place can be visited so easily, difficult to find any similar spots in Germany. It was quite muddy over there so that after stage 2 I was heading on alone (I had the right boots for that). However just before stage 4 there was a small lake of rain water at the outlet of the 100 meter tunnel, this was even too deep for my shoes and I had to quit the Lab cache. Luckily the tradi in the tunnel could be found easily and even they recommend you to have bring a torch, a proper mobile torch will also do its job. Then we cruised around the island, quite narrow and hilly for a campervan, but we managed to conquer the (gravel) streets. After being back at the camping ground we Took a long walk along the beach and manages another 3 caches on the way. One of them with a new D/T rating for me.So a Great day again and also again 4 cache types and some new achievements on the statsTFTC to all CO!Last one of the day and a very fast find, I did not expect that with D3 ranking. Lucky for me and as mentioned above a new category of my D/T matrix.Photo was taken close by near to the restaurant we had a very good pizza. You sometimes forget how far away from home you actually are. In less than one week we will finally move back to Germany after nearly 6 years. Home Sweet Home
Great in plain sight cache! Found when taking a stroll along the road after a lovely dinner at Starfish Cafe & Bar. Logbook is over 3/4 full so will need replacing in a bit. Easy park and grab when visiting off peak hours otherwise a high muggle area!
My daughters 19th Birthday today and had lunch at the Esplanade so had to go get a cache while here! TFTC
Cool hide, walked past this so many times but too busy. Now with a mad mid winter surfer had a good excuse! TFTC.
We are visiting here from the Seattle area. We are staying nearby and came down for an evening stroll along the beach. We walked along the Esplanade and happened upon a couple of caches. There was construction in the area of this cache, but amazingly the container was unaffected. Thanks for the hide.
Had a nice coffee and wander on the beach before a quick grab - worried the road closure might be issue but still a quick find!
Had a great day today cycling from Tunnel Beach all the way up to Larnach Castle. Picked up many caches along the way.I know this kind of hide so quick find, tftc!
SO CLEVER. Wow. Best cache ive seen yet. Mum had think outside the box here hahah. Weve just been out around South Dunedin while I learn to drive lol and picking up some caches along the way. So many people out surface. Lots of little heads bobbing up and down, some marvellous waves too. Logbook a bit damp and mouldy so had to be pretty gentle. Thanks though, awesome cache!
Nice easy find today, missed the date by 2 dsys. Just at dusk, I'm enjoying these long light southerly evenings.
Quick find while visiting the nearby area. All quiet at GZ. Nice hide.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Good morning St Clair! Another quick walk to collect this. My intention was to get it last night but there was a car parked nearby, while they weren't facing me, I figured I'd be seen in the side mirrors. No issues this morning though. Now to get ready for my day. Thanks for the placement
TFTC Natalie247, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 6 today, making this find #4097

Took a while as never seen one of these caches in South Africa. What a really cool one and a lovely country. As I lost my pen on the second beach cache climb I had to do a photo log. Hope ok? No spoiler in pic.
Coffee time but first to turn the blue to gold as I heard the cache was back. Thanks
In Dunedin for a wee Easter school holiday adventure. Rather wet so not sure what we'll do today...maybe visit the museum today. Staying nearby(ish) so a morning run this morning bought MrsTG and I to this spot for a quick find and sign. Wild sky and wild sea's. Thanks.
Found on JoeyGE0. I have now made my own account and am logging the caches I have found to keep my account up to date. This is a real account. I placed the cache back as found, TFTC thanks for putting this one out! I went to get this cache after we went and had dinner it was fun and easy.
A quick find having seen a few of these hides before then signed log before I almost froze with the cold wind coming in. TFTC Natalie247.
Dropping mini Mob at university so got to do some exploring. Spotted it straight away and grabbed it TFTC.
OCW EverestHigh and Baxter360. First cache find in Dunedin. TFTC Natalie247!
My first cache find in Dunedin, while visiting friends (locals). OCW MaxAdventurer and Baxter360. TFTC
Was down in Dunedin for the night and just by chance I happened upon a cache ... Oops cheers for the smiley
Muggles a plenty but confident stealth had this cache in my hand, sogned on the nearby bench and returned quick smart. Tftc
I have found this one before with a friend, I know what this one looks like and it was definitely not there
A quick stop here to pick up this one.
Just wated until the gz was all quiet and while I was waiting I had worked out a likely spot to nab the goods and made a quick find and completing the paperwork before returning to the hide.
Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching.
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

The hotel we were staying at was only 60 metres from the cache so it was a very convenient find.
We had early breakfast at the nearby cafe and picked it up on the way past when there were no muggles around.
We love sneaky hides like this.
