Tree appeared fine to us, obviously has had an interesting history. Photo attached as requested. Caching with Magpie Cottage . Lovely, sunny, autumnal day. TFTC blacktownman 29 May 2021 13:57 # 573

Everything found shipshape at GZ. Log dry and signed. A bit of rubbish about so performed a little CITO. Noted someone has approached the hide from the wrong side where the farmers friends/cobbler's pegs are, but that's all part of the challenge. Did find the coordinates out a bit, maybe 10m, would have had us under the nearby truck! I marked it with my GPSR at:
S 31° 05.705' E 150° 54.568'

Day 6
Tamworth.
A bit of a detour to get near GZ but parked nearby, found after a short search
This is a Road trip south back to ACT, originally to Dayboro, but now a caching trip around NSW for the Easter break.
found with StrangeTrousers
thanks blacktownman

#7120 Day 6 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega Sad came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we are in an around Tamworth NSW. We still needed to grab a few we missed on the way in and explore Tamworth in general. The weather was warm but calm today and lots of people are on the move.

A nice dry cache well located.

Thanks blacktownman

Easter trip away (in the hopes of getting into Qld) with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.

After leaving home yesterday afternoon, this was our first full day of caching with the aim of heading north whilst county hopping along the way.

A nice easy find here today. Got to love a good 'dish liker' as Karen the GPS always says.

23,875. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip.

With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border and see what happens, while developing a Plan B (Longreach region) and a Plan C (New South Wales counties loop) ! Day 2. An early start today with an aim of caching our way through some counties and spending the night in Tenterfield. Everything went according to plan which made for a great days travel and caching, with some wonderful places visited. This was the next stop for the day, and another in the Dishlicker series to knock off. Parked nearby and very soon minniek had the cache in hand. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on up the highway.

Thanks blacktownman !!

Day 5 of what was originally going to be a straightforward trip up to the mega event in Dayboro QLD is turning out to be quite a memorable holiday for us. Every day has presented new challenges that has meant we have had to alter our plans and routes. Not that this has been a problem at all for us. In fact it has been a lot of fun and has ended up taking us to new places, just like geocaching does. We have likened it to being in a Donkey Kong game, dodging barrels (floods) and fireballs (covid).

So here we found ourselves in Tamworth. Chunk had made the find here before Chook could do one lap of the tree. Go the dishlickers. TFTC blacktownman.

TFTC. We arrived in Tamworth this afternoon and after setting up I needed to get my legs moving. This cache was a good walk away from where we are camped on the Paceway. A quick and easy find.

26-Mar-21
We arrived in Tamworth this afternoon enroute to the CacheQLD mega up north over Easter. This one isn't far from where we are camped so no problem to drop by there before dinner tonight amd make a straightforward find.

Thanks for another one in this geographically widespread series blacktownman.

Hi there blacktownman.

We found your cache **"dishlicker series No 11 (tamworth dogs)"** today.

We have journeyed over the range from Port Macquarie to escape all the school holiday/Christmas madness. Today we thought it would be a good idea to do some caches in the middle of town, while the streets are deserted.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing

Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

Not sure why you would replace a cache in that position, visited it today and we about to leave the rubbish dump/toilet area (yes toilet area) when we made a find. If I could give an unfavourite I would.

Second find in the dishlicker series for me. Nice tree, shame about all the rubbish strewn about and what looks like someone has used for a toilet . Horrible!

There is one tree - a Pepercorn tree and it is about 11 metres from GZ. Looked all around - in nooks and holes, but nothing could be found.

Another lovely sunny winter's day caching in and around Tamworth. Appreciate the COs who have placed and maintained the caches in this area as it does enhance our visit here. Thanks and happy caching!

Easy find, area is overgrown but it’s hidden in an easy place

26-Jun-20
Yes I agree with other comment at this site today. I picked up a container of grease inadvertently.

26-Jun-20
Couldn’t find this one today. The area around the tree is very overgrown and there is a lot of litter. We found a few spots that looked promising, but no cache. Area might need maintenance, lots of sticky beaks and some suspicious looking toilet paper, not suitable for geokids Willay and Skiyup

Razz Little bit of stealth was used here as there was a semi fuel tanker parked close to GZ.
All aok with the cache. Thanks blacktownman GO THE DOGS....

Gee I'm glad this wasn't a mystery based on greyhound terms, we hadn't even heard of the word dishlicker before. Had to find the best place to access GZ and fortunately the cache was there. I reckon it's not improbable to think a dishlicker or two has also visited GZ... TFTC blacktownman.

We had planned a trip to Tamworth caching. We have met up with the Snakepitters for the 2 days,
We had made a plan & headed out of town to the new set of caches that have been placed since we were here last year. Its great to see all the new grass in the paddocks a sit was so dry previously.
A good morning out & in the afternoon we headed into town & then out to Oxley corner.
A wonderful day touring Tamworth.
Thankyou for placing this cache blacktownman

A listing appeared, then disappeared and then appeared again.Wasnt familiar with location, a search which required a glove and protection as tree branches lunged towards my eyes, a second search looking deeper ,then a FTF for a well cameod cache, on the final day of CM Festival.. Returned to position with cammo, tftc
