After a lovely lunch at Ghost Rock we continued into Port Sorrel to make a start on this series. We found the first 9. Most of which were in good order although some had wet log books. Nice little reserve and a good walk. TFTC
Visiting Tasmania and wanted to get a few local caches under our belt. This one was a nice easy find. TFTC
Back in Devonport for a few weeks, looking after grandchildren. A great opportunity to go on adventure each day.Having a few days break in Port Sorrell, so picking up a few in the area. A nice walk around this reserve area and found after a short search at GZ.Thanks Spreyton22 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Hello Spreyton22 thank you for the cacheI left EeePees to do his park run and came up hereto find some your caches.A very quick find.# 11 for me.Found on Saturday, 23 September 2023 at 0936Another great weekend caching with EeePees.**TFTC**
With the light fading, even at 15:30ish it being such a dull day with thick blanket overcast , i decided to grab at least the 3 closest to the road of this series here. This one was 3rd [my last here] as i wanted to work my way out finding as i go before retiring to my accommodation and the warmth thereof
The cache was an immediate find as it was partially exposed. SL at 15:34 on Tuesday 4 July 2023.
The cache and contents like the last 2 i did were fine and dry.
Re-hid with more natural Camo.

First little bush walk in who knows how long. I feel like my soul is back in my body
A morning out walking with The X-Trailers and caching along the way. The weather was starting to change but we managed to locate all in the series today..
Apologies for generic log in this series. TFTC

Camped in Deloraine today , off to Port Sorell for a few caches I missed on the last trip and any new ones which have gone down. TFTC
I was planning on calling it an afternoon and going back to the accommodation but then… it was on the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed the walk around this reserve. The coordinates were all accurate and the caches quite easy to find. However at least six of the caches had fallen from their hiding place or their camouflage had fallen away. One even had a few chew marks in it from some wild beast. We covered the caches with fresh camouflage where necessary.
Thanks for this series.
Thanks for this series.
Spending the day geocaching in the North and North West collecting as many yet to be found caches along the ways practical.
We consciously saved the Hawley Reserve until after lunch and given it was a late lunch it was late afternoon by the time we got started. What a great reserve it is and we really enjoyed the walk. We ended up with 12/15 caches and we believe the three caches we didn’t get have succumbed to back burning . It certainly appears that very very recently there has been spot back burning throughout the reserve. The three gzs were we didn’t find the caches were very burnt and we found remnants of the caches at a couple of sites. Overall we really enjoyed this series and appreciate you creating and maintaining it. We have given one favourite point for the whole series.

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. A nice day for a wander even though it was very windy. TFTC
Out and about caching with whitewebbs on a windy autumn day and found your cache along the way as we completed the Hawley Nature Reserve trail.
A quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

All good. Cache has got damp. Couldn't sign log. Unfortunately had nothing to replace it with.
Thanks for the cache. Apologies for the generic cache. Spent four days 'up north; with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP. Today was day 3, another sunny day, a great day for caching. Today we backtracked a bit, went around in a bit of a circle, followed a few different tracks along rivers and beaches, and visited a nature reserve.
Thanks for the cache Spreyton22.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I have spent a couple of days in the area, and as it was such a beautiful sunny day today, we headed out for a walk to find some caches. We have stayed nearby only just over a year ago, and there were hardly any caches in the area. Since then, it appears the caches have bred like rabbits! They are everywhere - which makes a trip to the area very attractive. After some afternoon tea, it was time for a late afternoon stroll, and this reserve looked like just the spot. We found 7/8 here, with the our attempt at number 8 foiled by a pack of springer spaniels on the other side of the fence - we had the GeoGSP with us!. Their owner was with them and so we just gave that one up for our next trip to the area. Cheers for the series, this one took a little minute to find until we found a path that led the way!

A couple of days off from work and it seemed like a reasonable forecast, so I thought some time in the north west would be good with three aims. One get a break from work, two get a few puzzles that I need to claim a challenge cache in Hobart and finally get a few caches to get the wonders of the World Series done.
The drive up on Thursday was an indication of things to come. Regular showers and very cold. This continued right through the two days. At the end of each day my trousers, shows and socks where Completely saturated.
A few DNFs were had, mainly due to not wanting to search in the current shower more than anything else. Just over 100 finds for the two days, more on the first day less On the second.
Tftc.
Lovely walk around the reserve on a rainy day

With Maggie. TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
After serving back in tas indefinitely, I decided to do some caching for the morning. I saw this series and thought it might be a nice walk around, all the caches were easily found and are in good condition.

Second time out to find this one, after reading other logs I had no problem locating the cache. Thank you Merilyn Tas and Cox Family 7310. The container was a little damp inside so I have stood it up on its bottom to help with future rains. Took the travel bug with his travelling companion (thanks bushtrack) and I have a place in mind for he's next adventure. TFTC
Our original plan to ride around the Port Sorrell and Shearwater areas today getting 21 caches had to be abandoned.
We did manage 8 caches in the short time we were here but this one was the only one in this series that we had time to look for.
There's already a fair little geotrail to this one, so if the coordinates are a bit out as some suggested, it didn't phase us as we never even looked at the GPS.
It was very hot and muggy while we were here and we were glad that the only snake we saw was the one in the cache!!!
Thanks. We are looking forward to getting the rest in this series soon.

Found it. After quite a look for this one, we decided to go and find the other 2 in this reserve as our GPS's and Phones had us about 12mtrs from this Cache. Stood back and looked for the obvious but still couldn't see it then as we walked saw a spot that was obvious, signed the log book and continued on our way.
Wow it great to see new caches published in such a beautiful are, Thanks heaps Spreyton 22. I was talking to 2y'tassie the other day about you placing new caches and they informed me that you to was a teacher of me...well at least tried!
Was out with Merilyn Gent helping her learn how to use a GPS, came to spot and the GPS's and phones were going everywhere, after looking for 20 min we were getting frustrated. As we started to walk away I thought I would have one more look on the LHS and BINGO we found it, my cords were 12mts north of GZ....So who knows.
Listed as a small cache that is correct but it's a big small one! Thanks

Our gps wasn’t happy, but after searching further down the track, we finally found it! Tftc
A quick easy find. As a long time local I’m surprised I didn’t know about this reserve. I’m curious if it’s always been a reserve...probably should of read the sign but it was a quick find in between showers. Thanks for placing this cache.
We noticed early this morning that Hawley Nature Reserve #3 cache had been published. As it was the first day of the month and the cache had not been found, we decided to head off early to look for it in an attempt to extend our streak of at least one FTF per month from 79 months to 80 months. We were successful and after finding #3, we went to look for the other two in the mini series. It took a while to find this cache as our batteries were on their last gasp and the gGPS was behaving erratically. eventually we found Hawley Nature Reserve #2 in an obvious hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Spreyton22 for the cache and the mini series.
Yay ! A first to find at 10.30 am on #2 and we'll take a 2nd to find on #1 Thanks for these new hides.
