After a lovely lunch at Ghost Rock we continued into Port Sorrel to make a start on this series. We found the first 9. Most of which were in good order although some had wet log books. Nice little reserve and a good walk. TFTC
Back in Devonport for a few weeks, looking after grandchildren. A great opportunity to go on adventure each day.Having a few days break in Port Sorrell, so picking up a few in the area. A nice walk around this reserve area and found after a short search at GZ. Loved the view from up here. Thanks Spreyton22 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Apologies for generic log in this series. Loved the butterflies flying everywhere. TFTC

Camped in Deloraine today , off to Port Sorell for a few caches I missed on the last trip and any new ones which have gone down. TFTC
We thoroughly enjoyed the walk around this reserve. The coordinates were all accurate and the caches quite easy to find. However at least six of the caches had fallen from their hiding place or their camouflage had fallen away. One even had a few chew marks in it from some wild beast. We covered the caches with fresh camouflage where necessary.
Thanks for this series.
Thanks for this series.
Spending the day geocaching in the North and North West collecting as many yet to be found caches along the ways practical.
We consciously saved the Hawley Reserve until after lunch and given it was a late lunch it was late afternoon by the time we got started. What a great reserve it is and we really enjoyed the walk. We ended up with 12/15 caches and we believe the three caches we didn’t get have succumbed to back burning . It certainly appears that very very recently there has been spot back burning throughout the reserve. The three gzs were we didn’t find the caches were very burnt and we found remnants of the caches at a couple of sites. Overall we really enjoyed this series and appreciate you creating and maintaining it. We have given one favourite point for the whole series.

Out and about caching with whitewebbs on a windy autumn day and found your cache along the way as we completed the Hawley Nature Reserve trail.
A quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. A nice day for a wander even though it was very windy. TFTC
Found with Lil Rafa and the geogsp. Staying in Port Sorell for a couple of days. Lovely sunny afternoon for a walk. Missed this one last time we were in the area. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Spreyton22.
In the area for a couple of days with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP.
This was a DNF for me when we were last in the area back in October. At that time, as we approached GZ, a group of somewhere between 8-12 Springer Spaniels came roaring across towards the fence of the neighbouring property. The owner was in the yard with them and so became aware of our presence. I tried continuing down the track and coming back, but the dogs remained, and kept barking at us, so this one had to be left.
Today was attempt no 2, and there were no canines in sight - so a very quick find, sign of the log, and we went on our merry way. A lovely sunny afternoon for a walk.

Behind the nearby fence is home to about 8 springer spaniels - as we had the GeoGSP with us, it soon became very noisy which drew their owner's attention to our presence. We thought about doubling back after we had continued on the track for a couple of minutes, but as we approached back the owner and the dogs were still in the yard. Left this one for next time
On my previous visit here it was towards the end of a long day and I could not locate this cache and in fact thought it may have been missing. Today I realized that I was searching in the wrong area and today after correcting that irregularity I soon had the cache in hand and the log signed..
A quick find in a good hide...all good again.
A walk back to the car then up the road a bit for the other two.
Many tftc Spreyton22...most appreciated....cheers ST.

A couple of days off from work and it seemed like a reasonable forecast, so I thought some time in the north west would be good with three aims. One get a break from work, two get a few puzzles that I need to claim a challenge cache in Hobart and finally get a few caches to get the wonders of the World Series done.
The drive up on Thursday was an indication of things to come. Regular showers and very cold. This continued right through the two days. At the end of each day my trousers, shows and socks where Completely saturated.
A few DNFs were had, mainly due to not wanting to search in the current shower more than anything else. Just over 100 finds for the two days, more on the first day less On the second.
Tftc.
Wandered around these caches between showers. 2 still to get. I will be back

Checked the weather ..... west to southwest, therefore not going to U'stone/Penguin area. We will do a couple of stages on the Octagon, hide a new puzzle cache and bag a few hides in the Hawley Nature Reserve. This is the third of six which will complete the Nature Reserve circuit for us, having claimed a FTF early on before some of these others were published. Thankyou to Spreyton22 for creating this nice bush circuit.
With Maggie. TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
After serving back in tas indefinitely, I decided to do some caching for the morning. I saw this series and thought it might be a nice walk around, all the caches were easily found and are in good condition.

The generous clue made this one a quick find.
How lucky are the horse owners that live opposite this one - all the reserve to work their horses in!!!
Thanks.

After a walk through Crab Paradise we made our way to Hawley to look for the 3 recently published caches. The cloud had lifted and the sun was out and the area was becoming a little steamy. The flies were r-eemerging and were pesky in spots. There were sand flies, bush flies blowflies and march flies as well as a few wasps and the odd mozzie. The fly nets were, of course, at home.
We enjoyed the walk out to this spot and soon found the well hidden cache container. Coordinates were good and the cache was in good condition.
Thanks for another cache in this series Spreyton22. A favourite point added for the hide and the walk.
