Bit sneaky but finally found it.Lovely day to be out and about. Decided a trip to Wee Jasper was a good idea to celebrate International Geocaching Day with Kittykatch, contesta, Tankengine, Smittengranny and barb2e. Thanks for getting me out and about Tankengine
Wee JasperInternational Geocaching Day 2025I took a road trip to Wee Jasper to find a bunch of caches with contesta, Joolay, Tankengine, Smittengranny and barb2e. A bit tricky coz it blends in so well. Thanks for the hide Tankengine
Found with Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, Contesta and TE. Drizzly rain to start the day. Tftc
After a breakfast event to start IGD, a group of us set out to clear out an area to the north west of Canberra. We didn't quite succeed but almost did, and we were all very happy with our achievements. Our group consisted of barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay, Tankengine and contesta. Firstly many thanks to them for a fabulous day out and then to all COs for making today possible. Especially TE who owned so many of these caches and was doing maintenance. All caches found were signed and returned to their hiding place.
Find # 1260317/8/2024 Out and about in IGD with Joolay, KittyKatch, Tankengine, barb2e, and Smittengranny on a warming winter day. We actually even got a bit of sunshine. All caches found, and logged. Thanks Tankengine for Careys Cultivator

#8704 ANZAC Day 2023 and it's a beautiful day, too good to stay at home. We were prevaricating between Wee Jasper and Big Hole Marble Arch and Wee Jasper won out.
I haven't been out this way for some time but I've always loved the landforms here. We had hoped to get into Carey's Cave but some large groups had filled out the available slots. But we largely found what we aimed for.
A quick find here.
Thanks Tankengine for the Traditional Cache

Haven't been caching for ages, but looking to get back into it for 2023. So this was the first for the new year. Nabbed on the way to a tour of Carey's cave. TFTC TankEngine
Drop by on the way back from a detour via the caves. Road is much better condition than when I last travelled on it. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache TS

Thank goodness it wasn't a nano on the harvester. I still managed to make it a little more difficult than necessary as I was looking in the wrong spot at first. TFTC!
Back story:
The weather looked a bit gloomy today, but we weren't in the mood to sit at home so we decided to hit the road for some exploring and finding some caches. We dressed according to the chilly, wet weather, but the day turned out beautifully with only a couple of short drizzles during our trip. We found 14 caches with one DNF.

A straightforward find here on a crisp morning while exploring Wee Jasper.
Thanks, Tankengine.
Thanks, Tankengine.
Out with Aquilus1 and Tankengine on a maintenance run, pick up some finds and just have a look around the area.
Wee Jasper is such a wonderful area to explore. The locals were nice, the land so pretty and the river was full.
This cache: Nice old machine highlighted here. Cache was quick and easy to find. Tftc!!!

After a night of heavy rain through the region it wasn't sure what sort of day this would be with plans made for a day out in the Wee Jasper area. With Tankengine and dty73 a little cache maintenance was the target and a number of fine looking caches waited to be found. Although it was a little damp when we left the worst had passed and the rain spared us which is the way it should be.
A very scenic drive and a lovely area out around Wee Jasper, the morning grey and cloudy but still lovely which soon led to a warm and sunny afternoon, its a very pretty area regardless of the day. So good to see everything very green and lush, dams and waterways fall and flowing. It was nice to be out with good company in such a scenic area, a very peaceful and enjoyable day as we explored and cached. Honorable mention to the long standing local out for his morning walk in his gumboots that was a wealth of local knowledge and a charming fellow to have met.
So many black cockatoos in the nearby pine, they are cool and to see so many, so close. Carey's cultivated was intersesting too wonder what that was used for? hat baler??? Nice quick find nearby. Thanks for the cache Tankengine.

Down from Canberra to attend last night's event and this morning's event at Oura. Cached my way home via Adelong (somewhere I hadn't been before), Tumut and Wee Jasper. Cache easily found. Good to see the dam full. TFTC.

Plan A for today were the Pieces Creek Scare series, but with all the rain I was not keen to do that. I ended up joining Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a run out to Wee Jasper. I was surprised how many caches there are out that way since I was last there. The road has been fully sealed since my last visit too, so that is how long it has been.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

fitzy_1965 and I headed to the Yass area to catch up with albida33 for a bit of caching today.
We decided to head down to the Wee Jasper area to pick up some caches we had passed by before. In the end we got closer to Tumut than we had originally intended. Oops!
Quick find here today.

25,214. Found with minniek and albida33 on a run out west of Yass today.
With the chance of rain today we headed out to do some drive by caches in case the heavens opened. A string of caches out around Wee Jasper were our targets, new since our last trip out this way. Meeting up with albida at 'Maccas' we jumped into one car and started our short but interesting list. This was the next one, and once we arrived at GZ we had a short look for a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks Tankengine !!

Cache found after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Tankengine, for us and others to find.

Came out here to check out the local bridge, but there's always time for caching Signed and placed Under natural cam. TFTC.
Find Number 2193 found at 10:20. Today we found 4 regular caches and 2 Lab caches. We had 2 DNFs.
Day 2 of our 5-day road trip with granddaughter Charlicorn1500. Today we drove from Yass to Wagga Wagga via Wee Jasper and Tarcutta.
As we approached GZ I feared another tricky nano on a machine cache. Fortunately this was not the case. As I started searching in one spot Charlicorn made the find at another.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log (sometimes we sign micro logs with G&T or GT) and replaced the container as found
Thanks Tankengine for the cache.

Like the cultivator and the amount of water in the dam .
Most I have seen for 10 years .
Nice and green here . Nice historical item and letterbox .
No snakes here as they are all converging at the trough looking for water .
Thanks to Tankengine for the well placed cache hide .

[FTF] Late morning we headed out for Wee Jasper having no set plans for our hiking day. We targeted the two new caches out this way as we love the region and we thought it would be a picture after the recent rains. We were not disappointed. We also knew that big rains were coming so an extended walk in Namadgi was out of the question today.
Not much traffic on very good roads all the way to GZ. Worth a favourite point on this cache for both new ones found today. TFTC Tankengine.

Out today to get catch some caches on our 9th day (last caching day ) in Canberra with RoddyC and Darksidedan.
After a false start we eventually got going on a different target with a a nice drive into the bush and then back to a couple new suburbs to make a few finds.
