Nice spot for a cache, never really walked around here much before, however at gz I had a little walk around before attempting to locate. After avoiding a few muggles passing by I did a thorough search and eventually located the hide. Nice clean log to add my name to.TFTC

Thanks Tankengine and Youban for attending to this one for me. All good for future finders.

Find Number 2832 found at 08:25. Today we found 10 caches, 12 Adventure Lab stages and had 0 DNFs. Day 2 of the Canberra GeoBash Mega event. GeoSon NationalSteel and I targetted specific D/T combinations to attempt to fill our grids. We also did some more of the Adventures, plus a few special caches. We were staying with a friend who lives near here so we decided to show him what caching was about. We found two caches near his home. this would have been much more tricky had we not seen this type of hide beforeThe cache was in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the container as foundThanks dty73 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

30-Mar-24
Nearest to our accommodation so came for a quick morning find to show our host how Geocaching works. TFTC!

30-Mar-24
It looked like it was going to be another dnf for old RS, then there it was staring at me, a common type of rock product that you can buy in a hardware store... That was the key to the find, thanks

22-Mar-24
Found myself in Evatt (well, purely for caching purposes lets be honest) and noticed this one on the map. Thats pretty cool it was placed on Feb 29!I do love this cheeky hides. And what a peaceful little spot, Ive certainly never been here before! But then again, Ive not spent too much time Northside. Log is now fullthanks dty!

11-Jan-24
Out on a late Thursday afternoon caching trip and thought we would give this one a go. Nicely camouflaged cache! Log is almost full with only one space left now. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Could t find unfortunately. Had a good go but no luck

29-Oct-23
Found on a big day of CITOs and Events in Canberra and Yass, 26 finds for me all up. Before the CITO, I spotted EthisEthat and Googlehihihi searching around for this one so I decided to lend a hand. They had been searching for a while by the time I arrived but it was only once I arrived, that GHHH made the find, with me having absolutely no influence on the decision for GHHH to look there. Very sneaky, given the huge number of possible hides. The red pond is beautiful. TFTC dty73!

29-Oct-23
We found it with friends EthisEthat and Toy Hunters. Hard. TFTC

29-Oct-23
I had just finished participating in a nearby CITO and was chatting with some fellow geocachers when I checked the app and realised that this cache was 67m away. I quickly walked over and joined a few other people doing the same thing. TFTH

Couldn’t leave this one behind. We were in the area doing our bit for the environment so decided to grab it. Took a bit to locate the container, but it was in good order. Thanks dty73 for the placement.

We had no luck

It's Easter Saturday and another glorious day of caching. Parkrun first after a sleepover in Scullin and then caching all over town, knocking of a nice variety of types and sizes. Even with the correct and detailed hint not an easy find

A Sunday morning hide on 20/02/2022 (preparing for 22/02/2022!). This time around the cache was spotted after only a brief search, with no muggles around to stop us. Having the right angle is definitely crucial. TFTC.

07-Feb-22
Came back here for another look. Still took me about 10 mins before finally spotting it. Thanks

Got off to a rocky start looking for this one. But decided to not leave any stone unturned. Decided to send a message to the CO who provided some advice which whilst helpful also seemed unhelpful at the time.

Just as I was about to give up I spotted something in the torch light!

Late ? this afternoon we walked up to GZ and the cache was staring me in the face. Probably it decided to play ball because I came here with reinforcements given my previous abysmal searches. I know what my caching friends are thinking and it mustn’t be good given it was this easy. DOH

So….. today was all GOOD no bad and no ugly!

Many thx to the CO for her updates BUT I swear I did look here before and …..

Very, very quick and easy find. TFTC dty73.

08-Oct-21
A nice bit of afternoon caching on a gorgeous day, and luckily a quick find here today by the more experienced member of our caching team. Thanks, dty73.

#12159 - 10:47:00 AM; Another mission with Sol de lune today as we worked to clear a few more caches around Belconnen and Hall. The Hall leg and the major part of the Belconnen leg completed, we headed towards Lake Ginninderra for a couple more as we headed for home. Local Lions Clubs are working with some of the locals to spruce this area up and have been doing a fine job. Once we reached GZ and started the hunt, Sdl uttered those imortal words "I reckon we're looking for a ....." and there it appeared right before my eyes! The coords were pretty good and the hint helped to limit the potential search area for us too! TFTC dty73 Smile

Coordinates changed to:

Coords were maybe a little out (3-6m depending on your device) so triangulated to try and make more accurate and updated hint.

Out with LuckyL10n for a couple of hours 'exercise' and after meeting up at Spence we headed around the area to grab a few.

Took noticed of the hint here and started the search, pretty confident of what we were looking for. We weren't wrong and LL made the find after a couple of minutes, so all was good. Log was signed, cache replaced and we were off for another jut up the path

Thanks for the fun dty73.....cache all good.

19-Sep-21
The Scarlett Leprechaun, my non-caching Geowife and I parked near here to do a loop of caches along Ginninderra Creek. It was a lovely Sunday morning so there were a few people about.

The 3 of us searched a bit for this but gave up and decided that we would have another go at the end of our caching loop.

When we returned, the place was overrun with children so we didn't really try.

So this is a miss for us.

19-Sep-21
Sadly after another extensive search we could not put our hands on this cache once again. Looks like we are cursed - more bad and ugly. With so many kids starting to play on the rocks

12-Sep-21
This was found over the other side. Kids called out when we were looking for it ‘are you looking for a geocache’. Seems someone found it and took it away and they ground it over there. . They quickly ran it back over and asked if we could add their names. Cool spot though.

Found today with a little group. We were searching and some kids on the other side of the pond yelled out 'are you looking for a geocache?' They had picked it ip and nearly chucked it in the pond but one of them recognised it as a cache. They all ran over and asked us to put their names in the log book as they hadn't brought a pen. It ended with the kids imploring mum to get the app. So cool ! Found with James, Angus, Max, Ruby and Tessa.

Thanks for hiding this cache dty73

12-Sep-21
Lucky find by a keen group of kids who found it on the other side of the pond. Returned to gz with the help of Angus. Tftc

After seeing the log of the last dnf and knowing the Cacher who couldn’t find it pretty well I was concerned that the cache was gone.

Sure enough after a search around I couldn’t find it myself.

So I have replaced the cache today.

Rock on!

06-Sep-21
A late afternoon cycle to pick up a handful of caches after the day's home schooling was completed. All up I cycled 23.5 kms over two hours until just past dusk.

Today this cache was definitely about the Bad and the Ugly. Spent a good hour in this location and thought that I had completed a thorough search.

Guess I'm not a seasoned cacher after all.

I was very sure I knew what I was looking for but got nowhere. I reached out for a PAF but got the hint after I was home. Now I am sure that I had searched that spot even though my GZ was 2m away. I will go back at the end of the week and revisited the spot 'more thoroughly'. I think that this find will be sweet when done - watch this space!

#2019

I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to find this one considering I started my search in the dark, but a bit of light reading helped guide my search. A couple of minutes later I had what I was looking for, thanks for the cache.

13-Jul-21
When I got to GZ I thought it may have been a bit too ambitious to tackle this in the dark, but I made a relatively quick find.

TFTC.

10-Jul-21
Nope. I got nothing.

Something prompted me recently to look at my caching stats, and I noticed that I had found caches hidden on 364 days of the year. A bit of searching and I found caches to fill the gaps, and this was one of them. In fact, this was going to be no 366. The only problem was, despite searching high and low, I couldn't find it.

Oh well.

25-Jun-21
Hmmm. That could have been ugly. But a bit of persistence with the hint in mind had me spotting a familiar texture after 5 minutes. Spidie Spence senses said yeah.
Nice hide. Thanks for the fun.

Not quite where I concentrated most of my search, love the new wetlands, and love Evatt

What an adventure.
An amazing cache that blends so well, and has lots of room to explore and poke around. It was slightly damp today and a lovely trickle was overflowing the spillway. The sound of cricket and insects was amazing. It took a bit but I finally Found it, and had the greatest time.
Thanks

Out and about for a ride on a sunny afternoon, made my way to the GZ for this cache.
This type of hide can sometimes be interesting but worked my way along and soon spotted the suspect.
Cache logged and returned.
Thanks dty73 for placing this cache.

02-Feb-21
This week consisted of getting away from work early enough to visit four or five caches, either on my scooter or driving, to try and continue building up my calendar finds days. Some days needed a specific cache type as well. A hot week that made caching in my riding coat very cumbersome.

I have been avoiding this one, but today time ran out and I went in for a look. A bit of taking it carefully and after a right move, there it was !

Thanks for the cache dty73

Too good for me. Spent some time here in the drizzle poking around the rocks, but did not spot it.

This one took me a few attempts. Late night find for this one. Kind of ironic seeing as I literally came earlier today in daylight more or less. I was almost certain I knew what type of cache I was looking for. I was just struggling to find it. After the cache was in hand a quick sign of the new replacement log and a rehide. Yes the cache is still there. TFTC dty.

09-Sep-20
Came by after a couple of dnfs just to make sure it was ok.

Don’t fret previous dnfers, it took Aquilus1 and I a while to find the bloody thing too AND we knew what we were looking for and where! But thankfully it’s still there.

Changed the log (photos attached).

There were too many names not signed on the log for me to contact individuals. So if I have deleted your log mistakenly please let me know.

Too good for me and Contesta. Will try again though.

21,205. Found during a fun days meandering around Canberra.

I wanted a few caches today for my calendar challenge, so into Canberra I went and cherry-picked the 10 I wanted. This one I parked nearby and after a quick walk around I made a quick find at GZ. It was in the 2nd place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens !!

Thanks dty73 !! It was a good movie as well !

Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H) and [@Decrypter](http://coord.info/PR75QXD). We'd originally planned to try a nearby multi, but realized we didn't have the correct TOTT, so we headed here instead. Once at GZ we spotted the hide after a few minutes searching. Log signed with initials - DC, CB, TD - and replaced. C and D then drove off, leaving me with a 5km walk. Good exercise. TFTC.

Nice and green around here at present and the ponds have good water supplies as well .

Many thanks to Dty73 for the cache invitation.

20-May-20
The D/T rating has put me off for a little while as I am usually passing by when it is dark, or I am returning from a planned caching trip and I am too tired! That is the problem with nearby caches to home sometimes, they get left for a while because your too busy planning to go somewhere further from home! Razz

So decided to swing by today, and soon had the cache in hand within a couple minutes. Not quite as tough as I expected but that was mainly thanks to the clue and good coordinates.

Thanks dty73! Good to visit this new area
