16:58On my way slowly home after celebrating jascat's 4000th find in Braeside Park, I headed towards the beach to collect a couple of Adventure Lab bonus hides.I completed most of this Adventure on New Year's Eve, but it was way too crowded for any attempt at looking for this bonus, especially after dusk. This afternoon, I was a little concerned about the camp nearby, but there was nobody around. The cache container was quite a surprise when I retrieved it from its hiding spot. Thanks, OSHFAM.#9331
Today was warm and sunny and people were enjoying the beach. With the Lab Cache completed and the coordinates in hand I made my to GZ and was pleased to spot this cool container without much trouble. The location was excellent too, with not a single soul passing me by. A favourite point for this fun hide, it made me smile when I spotted it.Thanks to OSHFAM for the Lab Cache and for the final hide.
Interesting tour. Thanks.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Woden's day the sixteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A nice jig along the walking trail for this one today, once at GZ the cache was found which is rather cool.Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the series
Over the bay in Melbourne for a few days caching we concentrated on multis, labcaches and solved puzzles. The winter weather has been kind to us with sunny skies and no sign of rain. Its clouded over now as the afternoon approaches early evening but it is still good conditions for a wander around Mordialloc at this later hour. Once we had the final numbers we headed off to GZ to begin the search. We searched a few likely areas but once the phone settled from the overhead trees the location was obvious. With the container in hand we had a bit of a laugh especially as now the hint made perfect sense. Thanks OSHFAM for the quirky Bonus placement, a favourite point added.
#4403 Final of five finds on a day out and about between Frankston and Mordialloc. Found after a short search. Loved the camo. TFTC
Nice, easy find after a nice Ad Lab; was confused about all the wedding photos at GZ, though! All in good condition. TFTC
A blustery walk around the pier and trails with lots of crazy people in the water..now I'm definitely no electrician but that pavilion question did have me wanting to have a closer look...they looked fake anyhow I managed to find this bonus cache after my little meander. See photo...I thought ahh this creature would find this cache very tasty.
The weather forecast was looking a little sad with rain rain and more rain ahead and only one day of sunshine, so I 'made hay whilst the sun shined' and took a day off work to maximise my time in the sun... as well as do some geocaching research An appropriate sideways approach was made to this cache in it's natural element. Thanks OSHFAM for placing the cache here, it was a beautiful spot to enjoy after my fish and chips lunch, as well as fun to find a novel cache.
After doing the Adventure Lab earlier in the week, we thought we'd get the bonus today. There was a mattress in the bushes nearby and there was a couple on it - only talking (I think!). Slightly unsettling. Anyway, found the cache without incident. Loved the clue. Thanks for your good work.
Autumnal Victorian Roadtrip.Day Two: A Myki and the Frankston Line. Weather: still dodgy at times.Adventure Lab completed and on to the Bonus. Ive done a fair bit of cycling around Melbourne in my precaching life, but I dont think Ive ever gotten off the bike here in Mordialloc. An enjoyable Adventure Lab, and the theming here for the bonus made me smile too. Thanks for the combo OSHFAM, a Favourite Point given here.
The plan was to take the dog for a walk with the family near the beach hit we did t realise this area is dog free. We split up to finish the Adventure Lab and find the cache although we didnt have a pen so took a photo instead.
I do love doing ad labs but even more so when there is a bonus attached. Got the ad lab done and headed to GZ with the not a soul around but the beach swarming with I think nippas on. Got to the hide what a rippa loved it tftc
Made my way through the AL and onto the final. Made the find on the final eventually. Nicely done AL and bonus!
Travelled to Brighton today to celebrate LetThemEatCache 5 year cacheversary! After an enjoyable catch up, I set off with LeeLee who wanted to tick off Frankston LGA then pick up a few other random caches along the way. What a beautiful day all round. We called past here heading to Frankston and parking was at a premium so decided to pop in on our way back. Heading back it was even busier but we managed a park and walked to the pier. Grabbing some lunch, taking in the sights and the Ad lab too. Bonus coordinates were collected and off we went to GZ, where a quick find was made, luckily avoided the pincers. Thanks OSHFAM for the enjoyable AdLab and this bonus cache.
Travelled bayside today to celebrate LetThemEatCache 5 year cacheversary! After a relaxing time, LeeLee set off with micaparamedic to firstly tick off Frankston LGA then pick up a few other random caches along the way. What a beautiful day all round. A great walk picking up the Ad lab and a quick find for the bonus. Thanks OSHFAM for the bonus. Our last find for the day. The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches, and earn the souvenir, before the tour is archived. Another fantastic OSHFAM cache! Youre always so creative and this was no exception. A fun and informative adventure lab around Mordi and finished with this themed cache. Thanks for giving myself and Geoson a fun morning out!
Maintenance checkFound cache exposed at GZ. Re-hid correctly. Please take the time to put it back where you find it as this area is frequented by boisterous youths. Thank you
Find 5 of 10 on a milestone-chasing day in Braeside and Mordialloc which was cut short by an injury to one of the participants, leading to an emergency dash back to the car and collection from a random park! Despite the painful injury a good time was had and some classic caches were found.Mr O did most of the Ad Lab while Mrs O was up a nearby tree On arrival here, he made a quick find, then found he was rather sticky after coming into contact with the cache. Then found he had no pen, but by using the acquired stickyness, and a nearby sticky stick, was able to make a mark on the log. An excellent AdLab with convenient bonus, thanks OSHFAM! It means more that you showed us round Mordi, having met you in Port Melbourne in May.
1086 for the tribeMelbourne put on some fine weather for the tribe and we enjoyed a number of geocaching adventures this evening while finding a smorgasbord of 7x traditionals, 1x Mystery, 3x AL sites, 2 Virtuals and a Wherigo which had a total of some 750 well earned Favourite points, plus a few more after our visit. All caches were in good condition, with room enough to place a name in the logbook. A big thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches. Fantastic little AL bonus. Great to learn a little history and to find this geokid friendly hide. Thanks for the cache!
I was down here over the school holidays with my daughters who had a lovely day out by the beach. I completed the AdLab then and it wasnt until I got home that I realized there was a bonus cache. Today I was in the area and had to collect. I loved the cache container. Thank you OSHFAM for placing and maintaining Mordialloc Historical Walking Trail (Bonus Cache) for us to find today.
Met up with my muggle sister and nephew the other day to do the adventure lab but I didnt realise at the time there was a bonus cache. Today this was the meetup spot for another adventure. I liked the Adventure Lab and I like the bonus cache. Greetings from Vancouver Canada.Thank you OSHFAM for the cache.
I had to pick up some ordered items out this way, so added a few caches along the way. I did the Adlab two and a half years ago, so I don't remember why I didn't look for the bonus then - probably short of time, or concentrating on just doing Adlabs. And despite driving past here once or twice a month, it was only today that I went for a look. Found the cache nice and quickly, and all in good order. My thanks to OSHFAM for the cache and for the Adlab.
Located at 5:07pm. #1376.Full log to follow. FP + 1. ! Baruch Hashem! TFTMC! Much obliged for the placement OSHFAM!Kindest Regards, - Alephroom.
The AdLab for this bonus was fun to complete, although getting the number from the clock lock was a little uncomfortable. I liked how the bonus details were given at the closest AdLab instead of at the end. Thanks for adding this one here, the area is so good to go for a short or long stroll!
Doing the Mystery Cache Monthly Challenge with pinnacle333, I cannot claim to have solved all the puzzles, but managed some of them myself.
A beautiful Adventure Lab, but I did not have time to do the bonus at the time, so I returned to find this little gem. Thanks OSHFAM

Found Bill while out and about Finding Dory!! A cold but very enjoyable day.
I enjoyed this AdLab except for the final location and having to check that lock. That was indeed rather awkward and I couldn't think of any good reason to deviate from the pedestrian crossing and step up onto the median strip and wander over to that structure. Other than to simply collect what I needed to. How many people turned a curious eye on me for the short duration I was there, I'll never know. I didn't snap a photo of the lock with my phone either, in fact I think I had trouble maneuvering the lock to an angle so that the numbers could be seen. Then it was the task of memorising them from a 2 or 3 second look and I wasn't confident I had once I walked away.
First submit attempt 'Sorry that answer is incorrect' oh god help me, I ain't coming back at night! Luckily, after changing one number, it accepted the answer and I had the location of this bonus cache.
A short walk from the nearest car park had me at GZ where I spotted a nippy critter. Very realistic. Signed the log and replaced him to nip the next finder. Thank you OSHFAM.

I found a small tent near GZ and was worried I had happened upon a squatter. Turned out it was a young couple who wanted somewhere to leave their gear for the day while they explored Mordialloc.
The log was sodden so I signed a piece of paper and added it to the container.

Firstly, the host didn’t cook up very well. Very chewy.
Secondly, there is a camp next door.
Cooking facilities very rudimentary.
Neat little Ad lab.

I came back yesterday for the mega and was exhausted, and said to Rick there's no way I'm going to cache for a few days, just to sit home and do nothing. But Rick was going down to the south towards Mordialloc this morning and I was awake and thought, why not let's go out and do some more. This was a a lovely ad lab and there's lots of a caches saround her, so glad I came at what is a beautiful sunny morning.
First cache for 2023! I remember when this Ad Lab was created! In pre-publication discussion with the CO it turned out OSHFAM and I both had our eyes on a certain location. Virtually right down to the code word! Lucky for me, my AL had already *just* gone live. Interest piqued, I was naturally curious about what this one ended up involving. But it shouldn't have taken 2 years to get here. My feeble excuse is that **(i)** I seem to favour an inland route rather than Nepean Hwy between Chelsea and Mentone (all the more so for the duration of the recent railway work hellscape); combined with **(ii)** I no longer even seem prepared to find a cache unless I'm almost literally driving right past it, lol.
Today I was finally nearby, so got started. Because I'm silly I reparked the motor vehicle a few times rather than walking, all the while wondering why I never got a fresh City of Kingston ratepayer foreshore permit for the current year! That would have been helpful. Must chase that up!
The locations were of interest. I can now boast that I know how White St got its name, for instance. (Phear the intimidating depth of my local knowledge!) I also suddenly remembered that I came to watch some music being performed at one of the locations, some 20 years ago already. (I now realise, with horror.) All data input was pretty straightforward, which is always nice.
I was then off to the find the bonus cache, at which point I realised I wasn't strictly eligible to view this page! As a result I didn't really have much clue as to what I was looking for. Happily a plausible hiding place came into view quite quickly on approach and it happened to be harbouring the nicely themed cache. Fab! Thanks again OSHFAM!

The Adventure Lab for this cache was done by us over two separate visits to Melbourne. Today
Chook was down in Melbourne for a couple of days to visit friends and rellies. Our philosophy is 'make the best use of fuel spent', so some caching was also on the agenda in between. Picked up Chook's son LazyAde and spent an hour or so in the Mordialloc area before we had to move on down to Frankston, managing to complete the last locations. LazyAde spotted the nice camo on the hide and all was signed and replaced with no muggles around to bother us. Thank you for this Ad Lab series and bonus cache OSHFAM. We really enjoyed it so a fave point from us.

In Melbourne for a few days before heading back to Brisbane. Staying with family around the area. Headed out to pick up a few local caches before the temperature got up
Cheers

Naturally Steve & I did the Adventure Lab in the wrong order, making for a longer walk than necessary, but that’s ok because it was a beautiful day and we were in no rush and were enjoying ourselves. I even patted a snake at the Cultural event near the Lifesaving Club. I hate snakes!
At GZ, the GPS’s were mucking around, sending us in circles until Steve discovered a very well themed cache. Love it.
Thanks OSHFAM for a fun morning with the Ad Lab and topping it off with this bonus cache. A favourite from us.

I was down this way to attend Earthbound Chiefs birthday event and checked the map and noticed an Ad Lab nearby.
Melbourne has finally turned on some beautiful weather for the weekend and there were plenty of people out enjoying it and making the most of it.
After the event a hobble out along the pier was called for then around the local streets to check out the sights and to complete this one.
Plenty of people in the Main Street and even a Cultural event outside the lifesaving club.
Luckily for me I just happened to do it in the right order and worked out that the bonus was not to far away from the last place I visited.
A fav goes out to you for the well themed cache container.
Thanks OSHFAM TFTC.

A quick find after completing the AL, and a cute container. Very nice - thanks!
We enjoyed the adventurelab on this fine Spring afternoon. Loved the theme of this cache, very cute and a great hiding spot!
A lovely quiet area on this cloudy and breezy day. We enjoyed our wander along the beach front. We had to smile when we found the container. SL at 10.29am and off we went for further discoveries. #9075 TFTC OSHFAM - nice to be finding some of your caches!
Having completed the Mordiallic Historical Walking Tour we had the coordinates for this bonus cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks OSHFAM for the Adenture Lab and this bonus cache.
I found this one here after doing the adventure lab. I drove around to the locations, parked, got the answer, and off to the next destination. I then wrote the coordinates into waypoints and then I went to GZ. I parked, and then walked to find the cache. I found a unique type of container that is quite rare. I wrote my name in the logbook and I took off to find more caches.

Out enjoying a walk along the foreshore and area this afternoon, collecting some caches as I go.
After completing an interesting walk around some of the nearby historical sites it was luckily enough that this cache was back the way I needed to go.
Took a bit to find the cache as snippy was pushed well back and very hard to get out so I didn't put it back quite so much

I enjoyed the Adventure Lab which was full of history and information.
I'd never actually stopped and explored this area before so it was good to get out and see the sights.
It was a quick find at GZ for the bonus, I added my scrawl to the log and replaced the cache as found.
Thanks OSHFAM

We are in the area today after dropping our grandkids off at school and kindergarten and a day to fill in before pickup. We completed historic walk and with the coordinates for the bonus we headed for that location. The GPSr devices took a few minutes to settle and after walking in circles we were able to retrieve the creature and sign the log. Thanks to OSHFAM for the tour and the cache.
We had planned a late night caching trip that was expected to go into early morning with Donutholes, Dromaniax and AusFox; The plans were to start in the Williamstown area and grab the Lab caches that we were yet to find there. We then head around the bay for further Adventure Labs and other miscellaneous hides.
Our main reason for coming this far around the bay was chasing the elusive battleship but while in the area we could pass up the opportunity for another Adventure Lab.
Thank you OSHFAM for you good work as always

It was decided that AusFox, Sims_family and Dromaniax would do an all nighter and smash out a bunch of Adlabs, trads and some solved mysteries.
I have to come back to this area during the day so I can take in the surroundings. Be careful when you retrieve this cache, I've heard stories of this thing taking your fingers!!!.
Thanks for the Adlab and Bonus

The call went out who wanted to go caching tonight. Four of us answered the call. Sims_family was our chauffeur in the Ginga Ninja and Ausfox; and Donutholes completed the team.
The aim was to complete a few Adventure Labs and pick up any interesting or nearby caches in a trip that went from Williamstown to Mordialloc and back again.
We had made our way to Mordialloc specifically to find the final piece of the Battleship cache and added several smileys to the list while in the area.
We enjoyed the wander around Mordialloc even though it was very chilly.
Mr Dromaniax lived in Mordialloc and hadn't realised there was much interest at all in the area.

Thank you for the Adventure Lab an this Bonus cache OSHFAM.

I did the Adventure Lab while I was waiting for it to get dark enough to try a nearby *night cache*... but by the time I got to looking for the Bonus it was now dark enough... and a bit too dark to be looking it . I will have to come back another time... before it gets dark!
This was my first Adventure Lab and it was fantastic for a winters day.
I was a little disappointed that dogs cant join us for part of it but that thought was soon out of my mind as the carparks along the route allowed the dogs to stay in the car and I could search around for the information.
The bonus cache was well received after the AL 5 stops.
If you can, do the lifesaving stop last.
snipppp snipppp

After LouJean70 and I walked around town to get all the answers (and enjoyed the sights and sounds) we headed to the final stop.
It wasn't looking good ...... unfortunately we over looked the cache a couple of times. We both laughed when we made the find and saw out mistake.

Found by Mary and David at 14:35. Neither of us know Mordialloc at all. A place to pass through on your way to somewhere else. Enjoyed the tour and loved the appropriate camo too. Earns a FP. Really needs a new log, as there are now several logs in the margins. Our thanks to OSHFAM.
In the area for a Joey Scout night so of course did some caches before heading home. This is cache 1800 for me. Thanks for the fun
found after a nice walk doing the adventure lab on a beautiful night. The kids loved the cache container. Thanks for the fun!
Thank you to Bowdenfamily alerting me to a full log.
I am unable to get out there this week due to circumstances beyond my control. I’ll be able to replace with a new log next week.

TFTC and the walk. Everyone was at the beach so made this a quick and easy find! Loved the cache!
We came for a day trip. Apart from a nice day for the beach, we were here chasing a puzzle, but enjoy the area too. A nice lab with a cool container at the GZ of the bonus.
Thanks OSHFAM

Completed this delightful tour of Mordialloc today as a bike ride. Very windy ,lots of muggles but able to find this snappy end -spot on coordinates from the adventure - thanks OSHFAM. I finally ventured to your area for a few gems of caches ! Fav point from me.
I was here for a meetup with some friends and decided to come early and find some caches. This was one. Having done the Labs leadng up to this I got the finals and before too long had that logbook to hand!
A thoroughly enjoyable walk highlighting a number of historical memorials to community-minded members as well as historical locations. On the day I visited I noted both the aftermath of an adverse event as well as an object as relevant to me as a Xmas tree is to the wider community.
First, to the adverse event. Police had taped off a large swathe of foreshore near the marina. There was a sedan and two divisional vans parked nearby with 3 officers visible from the road next to the taped off area. Clearly something of significance had transpired in the last day or two to engender that response.
Next, the object to which I refer (which is of significance to me) is a Chanukiah. Whilst I have some reservations with Chabad I do appreciate this particular side to their ethos. I also appreciate the fact that it doesn't show signs of vandalism, no mean feat in the current environment.
Thanks for bringing me to these locations and having me pass the Chanukiah as an extra little treat. Cache was found in about the third place I looked and although the area does have evidence of nangs and balloons the actual hide seems to be holding up well.

I did the Adventure Lab and really enjoyed it. You could walk to all points easily, unlike some that are spread all over the place, making it difficult for people without cars who are forbidden from riding bikes as they have fallen off too many times (that’s me). Nice to see people out and about again after lockdown.
buhfuhguh and I continued the day's adventures by completing this Adventure.
I've been meaning to get around to it for some time, but every time I found myself in the area, my time got chewed up by other matters.
Thankfully, with those other matters being put to rest a little earlier, we finally got to explore the parts of town that the CO had to show us; some were new but a few others were *very* familiar!
All in all, this is a very well-made Adventure with good questions and no ambiguities(!!!); I found location 2 to be particularly clever.
It was lovely to learn a bit about the history of the area and see some old photographs juxtaposed against what they've become today!
Certainly a textbook Adventure that gets full marks from me!
The final took us a little off-trail and, knowing the CO's track record with excellent coordinates, we centred right on gz and got to work!
A few spots were scrutinised but it wasn't long before I spotted the cache tucked away and had to laugh (and cry a bit) at the theming, as I've been trying to source one of these for about two months now and quite literally only got one this week!
How did you find it???
Have to give this a favourite point for that moment alone, but that's not to say that the expertly executed Adventure didn't count for anything!
Thanks to OSHFAM for another brilliant placement, and great work with your Adventure!

Out and about caching with Brainiac03 today, with showers reported to be ongoing throughout the day we both knew that we had to dodge the showers when we could and over all smash out some of the drips and drabs of caches we had to do in the area.
With an early start we were eventually rained out, well more so the showers because largely annoying so we called the day early. All in all a great day out, thanks for the cache.

Found this morning on our trip around Mordialloc. We enjoyed the walk around the 5 Lab points as well as lunch, another find and a DNF on the route. We had been eyeing this one off for a fair while but with the latest lockdown, it was just over 16km from home so today was the first day to get back out here. We were really wondering what the last two words in the hint meant until we found the cache and realised that it only made sense once you had found it. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Really fun container. It was nice to follow up the adventure series with this. Quick find, thank you!
Beautiful day to go for a walk. Unfortunately we weren't the only ones to think so. Thankfully gz was quiet and we could get in and out undetected. Tftc
Haha awesome but terrifying! (ichthyophobia) thank you for a good evening stroll!
Found it, noticed a few ballons and nangs laying around. Might be worth checking on every now and then. Tftc.
Bahahaaaaaa... very funny! The hint makes little sense until you find the cache!!!

We were out and about doing some cache maintenance and also hoping to pick up a lab cache. We enjoyed doing this lab cache many months ago now but were muggled out at gz at the time and didn't even get to have a decent search.
Today we were passing by and Diane recognized the area so a quick u-turn was done and happily there was even nearby parking on this cool day and off to gz we went.
Here we searched around a bit before Diane went back to the first place that the GPSr wanted us to look but for some reason this time it was there. We have no idea how we missed it the first time around but we are happy to say that our name has now been added to the log.
Many thanks OSHFAM for the lab and this bonus

After all the wet weather and lockdown, I had to take the camper to Braeside to get some work done on it. Took the deadly treadly as well to fill in the time, and did a few caches around Mordialloc.
A nice collection of locations made up the AdLab. Lots of muggles around on a Friday morning, but it was a nice day.
Particularly liked the final, very cute.
Thanks, Robmc.
