Logs
Reperio 11:19Up early again this morning for a full day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn area, and fortunately the rain that hung around all day yesterday had mostly passed by. While the ground was still pretty wet, most of the caches were found in good order. Another great day caching in the area.Gratias DARKSIDEDANAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
A quick find on a short detour from the main drag on the weekly commute. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN
Found 24/09/24. Oddly enough for a fauna themed cache, there were several tiny spider living inside the container with a web among the log book.
Find# 11509Nice easy find.Container was badly damaged, so we have replaced it with a brand new container. Maintenance was performed where logsheets were mush, missing or caches damaged. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN 6 July 2024
Caching around the area, enjoying the great weather.A quick find here. Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, DARKSIDEDAN, for us and others to find.
A weekend of caching, labing, laughter, fun, and adventure with my great mates The Rats and Steeba. Just want I needed! A weekend like this is good for the soul.We headed from Wollongong to the Canberra Mega, via many caches and Labs along the way. We had a 48 hour early Easter window of opportunity that we needed to exploit! As always the banter was excellent, and the caching secondary to that. We found a lot of excellent caches, and this boiler plate log should not detract from them in any way.Thank you to all of the cache hiders, and the event committee.Cheers
Headed down to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega Event with The Rats and Hoojar for plenty of various finds along the way and around the ACT.TFTC!
It wouldnt be Easter without spending some of it with my mates caching somewhere. This year its Mega mania in Canberra.Spent a couple of days buzzing around Canberra collecting finds and participating in the various mega activities. A big thanks to the organisers and the COs for the caches we found.TFTC
Just cruising around the countryside with ilook4geo and picking up some more caches along the way. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks go to DARKSIDEDAN for this cache placement.
Enjoying the country driving with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches picked up along the way. Found and signed. Job done! TFTC.
A straightforward find here today in a likely spot. Cache and log in good condition. Wow - over a year since last found! Thanks, DSD. Have a favourite here!
Made a quick find here on my way out camping out near Wheeo for the long weekend
Thanks dsd for the cache

#13425 - 11:54:00 AM; Set off on a mission with Sol de lune and Smittengranny to Dalton and then along backroads through to Goulburn for lunch then home. A successful mission in that we located and logged all of the caches on the mission list as well as avoiding the rain showers along our route. A couple of caches need some TLC with the rest in good order. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Despite feeling really quite weary after a great walk along Bullen Range ridge yesterday, when I was invited on an "easier" caching trip today I couldn't refuse as this might be my last opportunity to cache with friends for quite some time. The sky was overcast nearly all day but the great company made up for it.
LuckyL10n Sol de Lune and I set out hoping to find a good set of caches and we weren't disappointed as there were no DNFs. All caches found were signed. Unfortunately some logs were in very poor condition and this will be noted whenever possible.
Thanks to all COS for placing these caches that enabled us to enjoy this great game.

Out on a run through the area with LuckyL10n and Smittengranny to fill in a numbers on the calendar. Weather was good to us with just one short shower during our time out.
Another 2 in the Australian Animals Series and both found without issue.
Thanks for another one....

While out and about in the area, I was able to pick this up along the way. A nice quick find and sign then off to the next one. Tftc DARKSIDEDAN!!!
Accurate coordinates and a common style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache.
I don't think I've ever been on this road. Thanks for bringing me here. Quickly found.
Out for a drive with GLISS! to do some maintenance and we came across this one! So surprised that we haven’t been this way before in our travels. Great to have a smiley on it now. Thanks for the cache.
After having to pull out of the event in Temora yesterday for reasons we had no control over, we decided that a mini excursion to Goulburn to clean the area out again was in order.
Being we were up early anyway after doing the animal run we headed out and had a successful days outing.
We had no issues with any of these Australian Animal series caches and all were found in good condition. Some nice driving along tracks we hadn't been before.
Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN

The Annual Stumble's geocaching trip changed location in 2020 to the TRLT in Western NSW to clean up a bit of the map with more smileys. The geomobile was rigged with awning (R.I.P.) and the swags were duly loaded onboard with the camp chairs and mini webber. The plan was to keep away from the crowds and see a bit more of the state which resulted in a great weekend of camping and getting off the grid.
TFTC and getting us out of the Canberra comfort zone.

Ended up doing a massive detour on a Friday night, just to get to Canberra. Through Goulburn, then Breadalbne and even Collector. Good fun till darkness was getting the better of me. Time to eat and sleep and continue tomorrow.

Day out in Crookwell - Gunning. Found around 25 caches for the day. Most were quickly found, signed and replaced. Here to see the historic spots in the area. Thanks for all the caches.
Before joining up with Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for our trip to Bathurst, I cached my way up to Goulburn via Collector to fill in my day. I enjoyed some of the new caches but failed on one.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

Had seen this one go live earlier in the day and checked it as I left work...nope, still no FTF log. Called fitzy_1965 on the way home and told him to meet me there.
Whilst disappointed to see gazza beat us to it (only briefly), it was great to see he is back on the hunt again after his knee op and working away for a while.
Found with fitzy_1965 in the dark and in the rain.
Thanks for the hide DSD.

20,758. I've nearly forgotten how to log these !
Wow - my second find in 6 weeks - I never thought this would happen but we have been following the rules and not abusing them to get smilies. Got the call to jump in the Geomobile to meet minniek here for a possible first to find but gazza beat us too it - lol. I'm just glad we found it at all in the dark and rain !
Thanks DSD !!

**This Cache:**
Wooohooo! Well done **gazza959**! Awesome to see another new person get a FTF in this series that I had fun placing with DSD! Stellar effort and hope you enjoyed it. Really love the picture of the train too! You got lucky to witness that, maybe this cache should have had something to do with train spotting!
A great location, and a bridge I had never been too before! Great to see a cache in a new section of road near Goulburn that didn't previously have any! Worth visiting.
Thanks!

**Placement:**
I was present in the placement of this cache during a multi-month expedition of planned out hides with DARKSIDEDAN. Many caches were hidden over the course of several months, and the listings were slowly brainstormed and created during a time when no caches were being published. I have logged this find on the date I was at the GZ location. Many of these date's I also found older caches hidden by other CO's which have been previously logged.
I hope everyone also enjoy's some of the challenging caches and unique locations that were picked out, as well as those that are more accessible, it was great to hide a multitude of types to accomodate to the way's people enjoy to cache!
Thanks DSD for allowing me to assist! And well done on the huge effort you go to in hiding caches and keeping our community active!
