Out for a rainy trip with my two young nieces and brothers visiting caches in this great series. Hadn't gone caching for years and remembered how much fun it was, even with squishy shoes. Thanks so much for these!
Found with geonieces, geobro and ReedPlayer, fifth and last find for the day. The log notebook was soaking wet and we couldn't write on it (see photo), replaced the log with a fresh notebook and ziplock bag. TFTC!
The last of our finds along the way here.
We can still see caches further along the Trail on our map, but I think we will be back with the bicycles for those.
This was a lovely afternoon walk on a beautiful autumn day.
Thanks Darksidedan

Log is drenched and slimy. The container was full of water, assuming from the recent swollen river.
Out for a morning walk along the track here to grab a few caches. Haven't been along here for a good 10 years so it was good to come back. A bit wet under foot, but no issue with any of the caches and all were found in good condition.
Thanks for the walk and a few more caches DSD....

Easily located with glimpses of the water.
A late afternoon caching outing with Flintstone's on a welcomed sunny afternoon. After the cold and rain of late it was quite a nice walk along the track, I had thought that it might be muddy but its a pleasant easy walk along and quite enjoyable to get out for a walk.
Having read a few logs about the grass it actually wasn't too bad for most of the caches following along on the animal tracks to try to avoid all the wombat holes hidden. A little tricky and slow in places but this time of year without the worry of snakes being so high its probably as good as it gets so good enough!
Certainly will have to return this way sometime to access the caches further along but its a good track now I've seen it so will have to get onto the others! Thanks for the cache darksidedan.

The weather was a bit mixed today, after a smaller morning caching run I asked Aquilus what she was up to and she was good for some more caching in the afternoon. No more rain and even some sun by this late in the day made for a nice wander along the river that we had chosen as a good spot where we both still needed caches. Quite plesant around here, I had never been this way and not muddy at all.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

On a cold Canberra day, point hut was busy with people ducking off to the mountains to see some of that white stuff, at 8c there’d definitely be some out there. While they were doing that I went caching along Murrumbidgee river, picking up DSDans mythological series caches. If you think this is a non bush bash walk you’ll be disappointed, the ground was wet, uneven and the grass in some parts quite high. But all in a days work, and the location was great. Tftc
A beautiful spot to look over the river.
The contents of the cache were nice and dry. Tftc

A pleasant stroll next to the river, nice and easy for a Sunday. The grass is very long so had to walk carefully when off the path but all found in good order. Thank you for this series.
As we walked along the track a ranger vehicle passed by. The cache and log were good. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
With a whole load of gardening waiting for us after our run this morning, we did what any normal person would do - forgot about the yard work and went geocaching instead! We packed The Woofer into the car and headed down to Point Hut for a very hot and prickly caching adventure. We walked to the end of the Mythological Monsters series along this stretch, and cached back to the car. The grass was a bit hard to walk through at times (lots of hidden animal holes!) and we heard a lot of movement around some of the rocks, but we made it back to the car unscathed. Thanks for all the caches Darksidedan!
This was one where we think we heard some slithering among the rocks. Luckily we didn't see anything, or it might have made us rethink the rest of them! Left some goodies. TFTC!

Cache 6650 on 24 Oct 2020.
Rain does not deter a geocacher on a mission, and I had a mission to get around 10 caches today! ZQX was also up for a mission. So we combined efforts to get some interesting DT combinations for him and a few more caches for me along the way! We headed to the deep south of the suburbs targeting some caches near Point Hut crossing and a couple more in the suburbs. A successful mission all around. We got a bit wet, but had come well prepared with our jackets and umbrellas.
For the first tranche of caches, we were worried about the Point Hut crossing being closed, but it was open with water still a metre under the bridge. Then it was a case of parking near by and walking the sodden track!
All caches found easily and in accordance with the hints.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

As I was running short of time, I had intended to skip the hides which were a good distance from the path. This one was just within my radius of action and was a quick find. TFTC DSD

Decided to have a mid-week day off, and as the weather looked good for geocaching.
Found with Strange Trousers

#6451 12th for today
mtrax called to let me know he had the day off, but without a car. What else to do but go caching ! We loosely plotted a few caches to target down in Tuggers. It was a lovely warm spring day and we had a few excursions including a nearby first to find chase nearby. A bit breezy at times but otherwise very pleasant conditions.
Swapped a tb here.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN

Was driving this way, and decided to go for a walk and grab the caches on this trail. All found quickly and in good condition. Dropped TB.
Thanks,
Thanks,
After new kitchen shopping early morning it was time to do some caching.
Sent a message through to ALL7 to say we had finished our shopping and suggested a meeting spot for a wander.
Nice walk along here except for the first part along the closed crossing in the mud. River is still up and nice to wander along. All caches were found in good condition still.
Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN

TFTC A day out caching with Marmaduke Rothschild and this was close to the end after walking across the muddy bridge to pick up some caches nearby. Thanks DSD for placing this series, it's been fun collecting them bit by bit.

After today's orienteering at Tuggeranong Hill, I went for another walk and completed this series of caches. All were easily found. (And all in good order). TFTC.

Took off for a 10km+/3.5 hrs hike along the M from the carpark just over the weir. An easy going trail but never have I walked through so much long grass in my life, certainly wouldn't do it during the warmer months. With a goal in mind I commenced the journey at 3.10pm. It would have to be at a decent pace, and with quick finds as sunset would be at 5.03pm, and I didn't want to be scrambling rocks in the dark. which I was able to continue all the way.
Criss crossing back and forth over the trail and into the fields I made objective with 13 minutes to spare (4.50pm). A separate adventure there, see GC804YG if you want to read it (not that exciting). Back it was then to the geomobile, taking a bit of a short cut then following the track for a speedy return at 6.45pm.
A great afternoon's adventure, 15 from 15 found and logged. Any notable specifics detailed at the end of each individual log.
Log quickly found, signed and replaced. TNLNSL TFTC

I had a day off so wanted to get out of the house for a walk and a bit of caching. I walked along the river here on both sides and found a great collection of caches along the way. The off track sections were a bit rough with some big holes to look for, but at least it was dry.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

After finishing work as a volunteer at the RSCPA headed home. It took nearly an hour before I could download the intended caches, it usually takes about 2 minutes. Once complete, headed out for a number of DSD's new caches. All found. TFTC.
Headed into Canberra to knock off some AL's with fitzy_1965 and joeylovestreasure.
After lunch with JLT, fitzy & I headed off to do this bit of the MM series.
We had difficulty getting to some of these as the grass is currently up to our armpits and the wombat holes are like minefields.
Cache found quickly once at GZ.

20,966. Found during a caching loop around Canberra with minniek and joeylovestreasure.
Today we headed out for a variety of Adventure Labs and more traditional caches. After the 3 ALs we left joeylovestreasure and went for this MM trail. While the track itself is fine the grass is treacherous ! Watch those Wombat holes !! Quick find at GZ.
TFTC DSD !!

There's getting to be a lot of caches this side of the river - and that was good for an afternoon bike ride. I went as far as my own caches along this side to check on them, and collected these on the return journey - practically having to walk between them, they were so close together!
Thank you for the caches!
Thank you for the caches!
When I first saw this series, I was a little disappointed because I was planning a series here. There is still space for a few more so I may move a little further down the river.
It is a nice walk along the river. The road along the western boundary of the reserve is an easy way to travel along these caches. When you have to leave this road and walk through the long African Lovegrass be very careful of where you step. The wombats have left holes everywhere and they are hard to spot in this grass.
All the caches were in good condition and accurately placed. TFTC
Dan, when you do a big series like this, can you put the number first. With a lot of GPSRs the title is truncated on the display, so you get a list of identically named caches. And this can be confusing. It would also be helpful if the log book has the name of the cache on it.

Think there was a lone Common Bronzewing in the recently ploughed paddock, hoping for yum yums. Left a snake in the container to help frighten away Grendel or at least Beowulf! Thanku
Having so much fun following the path of the Mystical Monsters but did not meet Grendel. Nice to be able to hear the river from here. So pleased it is not summer and we do not have to watch for snakes in the grass. Thank you DarksideDan.
Another small trudge through the long grass. Slightly muddy from all the wonderful rain. Quickly grabbed the prize. TFTC
I was out south side late afternoon and decided to try get some caches in before the predicted rain arrived. This was a nice place to stop and take in the views. TFTC
After a short walk around Rob Roy Reserve we came here to another walk along the river. Quick and easy find. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
Chooo ooo [FTF] - Ho Hum - I wonder how many more times I will come here! At least I got some exercise!
**This Cache:**
Another good hide here! Tankengine seems to like this spot the most though, as he keeps beating everyone else to the find, so well done on your persistance and quickness!
A nice walk, thanks!

**Placement:**
I was present in the placement of this cache during a multi-month expedition of planned out hides with DARKSIDEDAN. Many caches were hidden over the course of several months, and the listings were slowly brainstormed and created during a time when no caches were being published. I have logged this find on the date I was at the GZ location. Many of these date's I also found older caches hidden by other CO's which have been previously logged.
I hope everyone also enjoy's some of the challenging caches and unique locations that were picked out, as well as those that are more accessible, it was great to hide a multitude of types to accomodate to the way's people enjoy to cache!
Thanks DSD for allowing me to assist! And well done on the huge effort you go to in hiding caches and keeping our community active!
