This one hasn’t had much lucky lately has it :/
The jetty has sadly completely collapsed. Not surprising since it’s really old and the storms we’ve had lately.
But yeah if it can be repaired quickish I’ll keep it disabled but if it’ll take a while to be fixed I’ll archive this one
And yeah the container has completely rusted through, I meant to get around to replacing it but lost time

Couldn't find this one, despite a really good look around. Got to GZ ok, but apart from an object that seemed out of place, but was rusted solid (and didn't 'feel' right to me) - All I found was pelican poop. Oh well, blue face for the visit.
Area flooded, it’s just too unsafe to leave open. Hopefully the flood will recede in the coming days
Having a holiday from Queensland with muggle family from Sydney. Out and about today, showing them how we entertain our selves. We chose a couple of caches around the lake. What a lovely name. Lake Tuggera! Cute!
Found the Long Jetty, unloaded the car - two older cachers, young muggle couple - one is pregnant, and four year old mugglet, and head off along the jetty, which still appears to have the orange baricade furthe down the jetty. Mr D and I made it to GZ while the muggle family struggled to hold the little mugglet's hand, he wanted to look at everything, from every possible angle. He saw lots of little fish!
We had completed the preliminary search to no avail when they arrived, so Mrs Pregnant Muggle went down on all fours, in her effort to locate the cache. She was down under over and behond, Mr D and Mrs D searched all the likely and unlikely spots!
Despite two experience cachers, two grown up muggles and mugglet, we could not find cache! Sadly, we returned to the geomobile, piled the family in the back and continued on our way. Only bonus was a nice walk along the lake, and spotting a stingray! Thanks for the adventure Wønka

Sorry for the long wait on this one but it’s finally back open and the cache hasn’t gone anywhere.
You will need to bring a tool of the trade though since it has gone a bit rusty since it was placed down. I’ll get a replacement soon but since the cache is still in place why not reactive it?
Happy caching!

I checked up on this one today (6 Dec) and it is still unfortunately blocked off with fencing.
Considering the location being blocked off and that no new caches can be placed in the area unless they’re at the bottom of the lake, I kindly request that this still remained temporarily disabled.
I’m sure council will repair this jetty considering the important history of it. But I will contact council to ask what is happening in terms of repairs.
Thanks for your patience.

Jetty is still fenced off and inaccessible. Hopefully council will fix this soon. Once it is I’ll active it again
Hi everyone, quick update
With cases on the coast I was afraid the virus would spread through contact of my caches and that people would be bored and break restrictions to find caches outside their area (I know I’ve found most of the caches in the area I’m limited to) which is why I disabled them. I disabled them once I found out a Sydney-sider came to the coast to do some caching during restrictions illegally.
I’d like to thank Coasties for following restrictions and not letting it get out of control here. With that in mind and the Central Coast no longer classified as greater Sydney for covid restrictions, I’ll re-enable all my caches within the next week. I’ll just do a quick checkup on all of them since I haven’t checked them in a few months.

From 6pm today the Central Coast is in lockdown.
While I understand you can still go out and exercise (and presumably Geocache) I will be temporarily disabling all my caches for the 2 week lockdown.
I’m doing this purely because if an infectious person find one of the caches and another Cacher comes along they could become infected from the previous finder.
I hope you understand and that this is only for 2 weeks (or until lockdown ends if extended)

Still fenced off with no access. Will check up regularly (at least weekly) and it will be active again once it opens (assuming the cache is still there. If not will take a few more days to replace)
Jetty still blocked to public at end unfortunately, so could not attempt to find.
Wandered out here this evening and had a decent look under torchlight, but was unable to extract a log.
There is an item that I think is suspicious but couldn't get it to budge so a DNF this time.
Will come back after another find or a CO check.

I gave it half an hour and didnt manage to find what I was looking for. Cache is currently not wheelchair accessible and the portion of the jetty that has the cache is supposed to be blocked to the public still by the looks of things
That was supposed to be a DNF, I will change it when I'm next on the computer
Jetty was damaged in storm so is fenced off. Will check back in on Tuesday next week
Cash is unretrievable due to the secondhand of the jetty being shut because of week wood
While visiting a friendly neighbourhood ogre we headed up to the Entrance to grab the best pineapple fritters in all of Australia, and then came.down here to walk out onto the lake. Noticing this new cache, I took a moment or 3 to find it. Having visited my friend here several times a week for 10+ years it's nice to finally have a smiley here on my geomap. Thanks for the hide here Wønka.

We’re up this way for a wedding week end and grabbing some caches as well. We arrived here and waited for the muggles to leave. Soon we spotted something the had no purpose and there it was. We sized the log and planes it back.

Cant find. Possible muggle activity. If owner could check that would be very much appreciated.
I have been going a bit stir crazy sitting around home lately, So was very happy when Mr Minion chucked a sickie to take me out for the day. We have talked about doing this cache for a while as it's my closest to home unfound cache. So after outwaiting a group of push bike riders who actually had a bike sitting up on Gz Taking a kazillion photos of them on their bikes . themselves , the lake themselves etc. We started searching and searching some more. Well maybe we have lost our mojo because we could not find the cache. We will be back
After waiting a little while for the right timing between muggles, a quick methodical search revealed the prize. Not sure what they intend to catch, but there must be tiddlers in there, as the cormorants are having a decent feed. Tftc.
So windy out here today. Thought it was going to take a while but had it in 2 seconds
The other day when I was here it was windy and cold and there were people everywhere. Today it was lovely, calm, sunny and warm... with not another soul in sight? A nice break en-route to my second job for the day. TFTC, Wønka.

Was very cold and windy and a race to find it before muggles came but we found it eventually. TFTC!!
Lol it’s so much easier to find when it is actually here! It may be a bit easier than the D rating suggests, despite how clever the camo is. Although in my case after two visits where it wasn’t actually in place I feel like I earned it
Very windy tonight. Saw a cool cormorant drying himself in the wind - photo attached. TNLN TFTC

Quick stroll along the jetty, short wait for muggles to disperse, excellent cache, love it. Also met a fellow cacher, nice to meet you Bushgeo Seeker.
There was a 70km gale blowing when I began my search. It took me some time to find this one. When I found it I took it back to my car as I did not want to risk dropping it into the water. After signing I returned it to the correct location. It is the first time I have met another cacher near a cache. Thanks for a good hide in a nice location.
After sharing photos with a previous finder after I took a second visit today I can confirm it is gone and needs replacing.
I was down in the area with the wife and baby today and after the apparent quick finds of the past two finders we thought we’d nab this easily but after a fairly thorough search including in areas way beyond T1 we could not seem to lay hands on it.
Back when I was a kid in 50s, 60s and early 70s, we'd have our family holidays at The Entrance and would sometimes venture down to Long Jetty where there used to be paddle boards for hire on the little beach next to the jetty. My brother and I had lots of fun on those, but with the weeds and algae in the water now that's probably a bygone pleasure.
After spending much of the morning in the dentist's chair undergoing root canal work, I decided a bit of caching would be fair compensation so, having seen this one published late yesterday, I headed north.
With good coordinates, the cache was immediately spotted as I arrived at GZ, which is just as well as there was a bunch of muggles down the end of the jetty and some of them walked back as I was signing the log. I signed as BFJ as there wasn't room for my full moniker. Once the coast was clear, I was able to return the cache to its hiding place unobserved.
Many thanks for the hide in a spot that brings back many pleasant memories. Oh, and congrats to the Fish for beating me to FTF!

It was a cool day but walking out on the jetty attracted a really cold wind. We were soon at GZ and spotted the cache container. Logging was completed carefully as I was not going after it if it was dropped in the water! Thanks for a very good hide, we loved the location and excellent container and appreciated a rare FTF.
