We did as suggested and parked the car before walking down to start the series at #1. The fire trail is good walking and accessing some of the caches is a little more challenging terrain, but is rated well. It is just such a pity the caches are not being maintained. Each was an interesting hide and an interesting container and we can see a lot of work and thought had been put in originally. All was good with this cache. Thanks for the series go to Importunity.
Started the series at this end with goingplaces2. Only a few muggles were out today (some with dogs) but all caches were found without too much difficulty. Good one here and the log was signed. TFTC.
Found, with shaneo58, We came down with the train from Newcastle and caught a bus from Hornsby to do this series. The bus went close to #9 so this is where we started. This cache was a long way away from GZ, and almost fully exposed. So a check-up would not hurt.Signed log and Cache replaced as found.**Thanks For The Cache** Importunity. This makes the 9th cache of 9 for today making a grand total of 4317 at 12:44PM on this Thursday the 11th of January in the Year 2024
This was the last cache in the series today which I enjoyed even though the humidity got to me in the end. TFTC and the series Importunity.
Rest in peace Liz. Followed the trail down the windy path that me to her, nice one
Down this way to grab some high DT's close by with some friends later in the day. IM an ealry riser, so i spotted that they had dne this series before, so grabbed them before our allotted meeting time. Quick find, just follow the trail. To the CO, i think a maintenance run might be in order, as most need some kind of loving, but i cannot remember exactly which ones. TFTC
Thought I'd do this little power trail on a sunny Sunday morning. Short bush bash and a quick find. Nice theme. Thanks!

After a couple of days of work at Sydney Olympic Park I am staying in Sydney the rest of the week at the outlaws in Pennant Hills. Remote working is fine but wanted the opportunity to explore a bit as well and this series fit the bill. A patch of bush to explore and a series of caches in a loop to collect. So I jumped in the car and eventually made it to Oxley Park.
Parked and had to decide uphill track or lower one? Some locals with an off leash dog headed on the upper so I went low and then followed the geotrail up to this one. Made it easier to spot and so a quick start to the series.

Found with eemiaj, Mighty Minions, Team 737 and BFJ on a beautiful Easter Saturday morning. TFTC
Down from the Central Coast for an Easter Saturday of caching with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiaj, lee737 and Samuel737. We met bright and early at the parking waypoint before heading bush, but we took the wrong track and ended up having to bash our way down the hill to GZ, after which we spotted the easy way to the correct track. Oh well. A nicely made cache in good condition to start the day, many thanks for the hide and the series.

We decided on a day of caching in the more rural side of Sydney for Easter Saturday, so with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiaj and barefootjeff, we cached our way from Mount Colah to Kenthurst in great weather for a change, finding 20 caches and a handful of trigs, and without conceding a DNF, although we came close... A great day out, a sequel is in the works!
The 'old woman series' was first. We bashed out way from the top for this one, struggling a bit for a few minutes until Mighty Minions spotted the cache, we then followed the geotrail to the correct track... TFTC!

After pitching an idea to meet up and do some caches around here and over near Kenthurst, Banj5150, Mighty Minions, barefootjeff, eemiaj Me and my dad all met up down here at the start of this series. Nice series to wake me up after I got rudely awakened by my alarm at 5:50am.

Found it after a bit of searching. Came here previously but ran out of time and had to leave till now. Looking forward to finding the rest of the series! TFTC
Came in from the top and found it about 15m from gz but the way in from the bottom had a geo freeway. Tftc tnln

After my weekly swim at Hornsby, it was time for a bit of geocaching. So I drove North, and picked up a few caches around Mount Colah.
The short 'Old Woman' trail looked interesting and after I parked my car, the first cache was less than 100 meters away. Surprisingly it took my at least 20 minutes before I found the cache.
Quite a nice area, and I decided to save the remaining 8 for another day so I can share the walk with my Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl.

#6767 I'm in Sydney for a belated Xmas get-togther with some family. After spending most of the last few days eating and floating in a pool as the temperature soared, today was a drizzly but pleasant at 20C, so it was just perfect for geocaching.
This series was another on my radar for this trip. This first one was not hard to find, but looked oddly empty. There was a log book etc, but a big mostly empty glass jar. I learned alter that there should have been a figurine in it.
Thanks Importunity

Feeling claustrophobic with the crappy weather so decided to tackle this set of caches. 9 from 9 today so pretty happy with the result. Cool drizzly afternoon. Minimal spideys and muggles. We do enjoy hiding in the bushes when a muggle is cruising past none the wiser haha. Great series with excellent containers. TFTC’s
I brought my seven and eight year old daughters along with me for this trail and we absolutely loved it. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this.
Once we adjusted to the lower trail we were fine. Much easier than our initial approach from above. TNLN TFTC

OCW The_Jugheads and geokids4&6. The iPhone really led me astray on this one and it took much longer a than it should have but we got it eventually.

Hmm. Someone has stolen old Liz.
Cache is still available in the meantime. We will find a heir in due course

Found it with Anominous Sign on 25/10/2020. Thanks for this series, we had a lot of fun walking, talking and finding all the caches.
This was our last find in the series, because we started at the wrong end and were committed by the time we realised. Had a blast doing them all and watching the song/story play out backwards. Thanks for setting this up!
Being English it was great to hand with our beloved Queen again. Thanks for the inspiration.
After an early appointment in Hornsby I decided to slip up to Mount Colah to attempt this series, which I'd recently become aware of.
I parked at the recommended place, strolled down the hill and scrambled up to GZ for a quick find.
Good one, thanks Importunity.

Ms Atalanta and I travelled up this way in my new car today, to give the car a short run, and to get some of this lovely spring weather. This was the second cache on the radar, and we found it fairly quickly. Long live Liz.

Today we headed up to Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-Gai, and Berowra to have a look at the many caches that had appeared since our last visit to the area. Started our day with the wonderful “old woman” cache series located along the Oxley Trail, then visited a golden oldie from 2004 and the GZ’s of a couple of previously solved puzzle caches. Then it was a revisit to the Tipler’s Time Trail for another encounter with Macbeth, who seemed to have moved in time & space since we last visited him, resulting in a “bonus” find on the series. We finished the day with an unusual style of Traditional cache, which took us much longer than expected to reach it’s GZ to make our final find for the day. This was the 1st of 14 finds for the day.
Parked the geomobile near the suggested parking location, in Beryl Avenue, then headed off down Oxley Drive and onto the Oxley Trail. Soon arrived at the first in the series (#1) and clambered up to GZ for a nice quick find. It felt like royalty when we opened up the container. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. A royal wave and we were off to the next one. TFTC Importunity.

And the series done. Have enjoyed turning a loop walk into multiple walks to get me out and active after work. I saved Her Majesty for last. Told her a joke but she was not amused, and she waved me off.
Thanks so much for the series Importunity. Great theme, great caches, great fun.

We had to replace the old queen with a new one. She's in a bigger container now. Please be gentle, she isn't designed to be removed.
Looks like someone is building a mountain bike trail nearby. The cache is safe, but the old lady has broken her neck.
Out collecting a few caches for this new GC promotion so given the number in the area figured we could make some good progress. A nice lap around the fire trails and generally didn't have too much trouble making the finds. Certainly the geo trails into the caches have quickly developed making it easy to get close to GZ. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

I was after a few numbers for my calendar today, but the weather is pretty iffy. I'd noticed a new trail around Mount Colah - an area usually infested by puzzles.
Arrived to drizzle, which stayed until I'd made the first find. Had sunshine walking to *#2* and rain again on the way to *#3*. You get the idea.
Called it after four finds, but on reflection, looking at the map, I should have grabbed one more. Oh well.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Walked in from the road and soon headed off the trail to GZ.
As I approached had an idea of the first area to check, and quickly spotted the uncovered container.
Made the grab - yes, the old woman does look like the Queen - and signed as the drizzle continued. Of course it stopped the second I replaced with camo as best I could.
Then on to the next one.
