We did as suggested and parked the car before walking down to start the series at #1, along with ilook4geo. The fire trail is good walking and accessing some of the caches is a little more challenging terrain, but is rated well. It is just such a pity the caches are not being maintained. Each was an interesting hide and an interesting container and we can see a lot of work and thought had been put in originally. The log here is full and needs to be replaced. Thanks for the series go to Importunity.
Started the series at this end with goingplaces2. Only a few muggles were out today (some with dogs) but all caches were found without too much difficulty. Full log here - please replace. TFTC.
The papers needs replacing, so could the CO Importunity, please check on this one.
Found, with shaneo58, We came down with the train from Newcastle and caught a bus from Hornsby to do this series. The bus went close to #9 so this is where we started. Found a faded spot to sign, new paper should be added to the cache.Signed log and Cache replaced as found.**Thanks For The Cache** Importunity. This makes the 3rd cache of 9 for today making a grand total of 4311 at 9:46AM on this Thursday the 11th of January in the Year 2024
Quick find today with BillHill531. Log is full but managed to find a spot to sign. It needs replacing urgently. TFTC Oportunity.
Log is full, so found a gap between signatures on the log sheet. Just finding the way in was the toughest part
I think it was this one that took the longest to find. Cords had me a lot higher. The only one that i read the hint for, and it did not help.
To the CO, i think a maintenance run might be in order, as most need some kind of loving, but i cannot remember exactly which ones. TFTC

Missed it first go round, went and found 6 and came back to it and found it straight away. Tftc. Another day to finish this great series off.

After a couple of days of work at Sydney Olympic Park I am staying in Sydney the rest of the week at the outlaws in Pennant Hills. Remote working is fine but wanted the opportunity to explore a bit as well and this series fit the bill. A patch of bush to explore and a series of caches in a loop to collect. So I jumped in the car and eventually made it to Oxley Park.
After the last two climbs appreciated the short geotrail and the quick find here.

Found with eemiaj, Mighty Minions, Team 737 and BF on a beautiful Easter Saturday morning. TFTC
Another quick find with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiag, lee737 and Samuel737. I guess I now know what goats eat when they can't find tin cans. Many thanks for the nice hide and series.

We decided on a day of caching in the more rural side of Sydney for Easter Saturday, so with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiaj and barefootjeff, we cached our way from Mount Colah to Kenthurst in great weather for a change, finding 20 caches and a handful of trigs, and without conceding a DNF, although we came close... A great day out, a sequel is in the works!
The 'old woman series' was first. Powering on now - this one was pretty fast.... TFTC!

After pitching an idea to meet up and do some caches around here and over near Kenthurst, Banj5150, Mighty Minions, barefootjeff, Me and my dad all met up down here at the start of this series. Nice series to wake me up after I got rudely awakened by my alarm at 5:50am.

After our plans to go caching in a different area today fell through because of the track being closed . Lee737, Samuel737 ,barefootjeff, Banj5150 , eemiaj and I met up to tackle this series and a few others around kenthurst today . I loved the theme for this series and I tried to remember it and sing the song as I went around. I def forgot a few bits but I had fun anyway . As the day went on we all seemed to take it in turns making a find, which was great .loved the creativity and how you followed the theme. Thanks for the cache Importunity tnln replaced as found sl

Quick find. Dog barking up the hill elicited a response from the goat. Tftc
Good old goat. It barked as we got close. Cache in good condition. Will soon need a new log. TFTC

Having found the first of the series on March 7th, today I came back with Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl for the remaining 8 caches and a small side track to K9-Capers.
It was an enjoyable walk along the fire trail. This little cache was quickly spotted and logged.

#6773 I'm in Sydney for a belated Xmas get-togther with some family. After spending most of the last few days eating and floating in a pool as the temperature soared, today was a drizzly but pleasant at 20C, so it was just perfect for geocaching.
I don't remember this animal in this rhyme. Given that goats eat anything, it's hard to imagine why the old woman needed to keep eating. Perhaps I am overthinking this ?
Thanks Importunity

I brought my seven and eight year old daughters along with me for this trail and we absolutely loved it. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this.

#7479 (3 of 3 today)
Well... I'm after a decent number of finds today as my calendar total is low. But I have things to do today, and to top it off it's raining.
By the time I was free to cache the rain had set in a bit, but I made my way here anyway, hoping it would fine up a bit.
And it didn't.
But while not heavy, the drizzle is constant, so decided to grab an umbrella and go for the three caches in this section of the trail.
Got all three, as well as reasonably damp from the rain and the plants. To be expected.
Two left to go in the series. I'll return.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Final one for the day, close to a track back to the road.
Took one wrong turn once I left the track, but quickly corrected. Pity that meant more water off the trees and on me!
Again made the right call at GZ for the quick find.
Signed replaced and decided to call it a day. Even though the rain chose this moment to finally stop! Can't trust it.
Despite the rain plenty of fun with this series again today. I'll drop a favourite here for that.

OCW The_Jugheads and geokids4&6. After a stop for lunch between caches and everyone getting tired, this was a nice shady and simple find.

Lovely walk today with Sandysa, doing this series. There was a very light drizzle but not enough to keep us away. Thanks for the cache!
Ms Atalanta and I travelled up this way in my new car today, to give the car a short run, and to get some of this lovely spring weather. This was the eighth cache on the radar, and we found it fairly quickly.

Today we headed up to Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-Gai, and Berowra to have a look at the many caches that had appeared since our last visit to the area. Started our day with the wonderful “old woman” cache series located along the Oxley Trail, then visited a golden oldie from 2004 and the GZ’s of a couple of previously solved puzzle caches. Then it was a revisit to the Tipler’s Time Trail for another encounter with Macbeth, who seemed to have moved in time & space since we last visited him, resulting in a “bonus” find on the series. We finished the day with an unusual style of Traditional cache, which took us much longer than expected to reach it’s GZ to make our final find for the day. This was the 7th of 14 finds for the day.
This one was next, and a quick find after stumbling about in the scrub, being careful to avoid the clumps of nasty razor grass. TNLNSL, and then returned Billy to his home. TFTC Importunity.

Out collecting a few caches for this new GC promotion so given the number in the area figured we could make some good progress. A nice lap around the fire trails and generally didn't have too much trouble making the finds. Certainly the geo trails into the caches have quickly developed making it easy to get close to GZ. Some interesting camo and themed hides. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Made another night raid on this enjoyable series of caches. I'm sure the locals are getting suspicious about a shady character trying to find ways into the bush at night. This was a find made easier by thinking "Hmm, where would I hide something near here?". Another great themed container. TFTC.
A likely location could be seen not far off the track and a bit of natural camo told me we were there. I retrieved the container and admired the decoration then logged. Thanks Importunity for another good hide. We had planned to walk back to the car from here if we had had enough, but continued on to the final 2 caches.
Approaching this one the GPS suggested it was a fair way off the main drag but I spotted a well made off track which was a helpful start to approaching the cache.
Funny thing at this one there was a dog barking across the valley!
Didn't help me find the cache though as the camo had not been well replaced and the cache was visible. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache with the camo.
I returned to the main track and a dog above the track began barking too, must have been chatting to the valley one.
Even my usually quiet geodog gave one bark. Wonder what they are all talking about?

This find in the series was nice and quick, but reminded me how hesitant I am to put my hands in places
A day OCW Oldmorty and we targeted the "There was an old woman..series". This was a fun looped walk along the fire trial that deserves much love. Great fun, excellent for kids and adults I would love to give each cache a FP but I have single digits in my kitty so will give one to my fav in this series.
With the hint we narrowed down the options and soon spied this Billy protected from the elements. TFTC and the effort!

OCW morty8888 today on the upper north shore on a superb winters morning. Our primary mission today was to check out the new "There was an old woman" series of caches. For no particular reason we did the series in the reverse order, however, before leaving home I did print out the words to the rhyme and we had fun guessing what the next container might be. I much enjoyed that each cache container was uniquely crafted and that it related to the rhyme; it could have been so easy to just throw out a sistema and for this reason I'm giving a FP to each of the nine caches in the series. Well done Importunity and TFTC.
Ahh, now I get it...
