We did as suggested and parked the car before walking down to start the series at #1, along with ilook4geo. The fire trail is good walking and accessing some of the caches is a little more challenging terrain, but is rated well. It is just such a pity the caches are not being maintained. Each was an interesting hide and an interesting container and we can see a lot of work and thought had been put in originally.Nice to find a large size container with everything in good order. Thanks for the series go to Importunity.

Started the series at this end with goingplaces2. Only a few muggles were out today (some with dogs) but all caches were found without too much difficulty. Good one here and the log was signed. TFTC.

After a couple of days of work at Sydney Olympic Park I am staying in Sydney the rest of the week at the outlaws in Pennant Hills. Remote working is fine but wanted the opportunity to explore a bit as well and this series fit the bill. A patch of bush to explore and a series of caches in a loop to collect. So I jumped in the car and eventually made it to Oxley Park.
This CB one took a while - GPS had me too high and once stepped down a level I eventually found the good sized cache - cow and all.

#5107
We decided on a day of caching in the more rural side of Sydney for Easter Saturday, so with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiaj and barefootjeff, we cached our way from Mount Colah to Kenthurst in great weather for a change, finding 20 caches and a handful of trigs, and without conceding a DNF, although we came close... A great day out, a sequel is in the works!

Out with Mighty Minions, Banj5150, eemiag, lee737 and Samuel737. Another impressive cache, my sister-in-law would have loved this one as she's a bit of a bovine fanatic. Many thanks for the nice hide and series.

After pitching an idea to meet up and do some caches around here and over near Kenthurst, Banj5150, Mighty Minions, barefootjeff, Me and my dad all met up down here at the start of this series. Nice series to wake me up after I got rudely awakened by my alarm at 5:50am.

After our plans to go caching in a different area today fell through because of the track being closed . Lee737, Samuel737 ,barefootjeff, Banj5150 , eemiaj and I met up to tackle this series and a few others around kenthurst today . I loved the theme for this series and I tried to remember it and sing the song as I went around. I def forgot a few bits but I had fun anyway . As the day went on we all seemed to take it in turns making a find, which was great .loved the creativity and how you followed the theme. Thanks for the cache Importunity tnln replaced as found sl

#7744 (7 of 10 today- including 5 Lab Caches)

And it's another calendar finds day - well to be honest, April is a calendar finds month as this is the month in which I've made the least finds. By quite a margin.
So I need to start the month with lots of finds! But where?

I haven't headed north for caches for quite a while - too few caches I either haven't solved or are higher terrain than I think I can currently manage.
But with the AL and an almost complete trail to finish, I can probably make a good afternoon out of it.

So I got the five ALs, then the bonus as I headed back south.
Found everything I went for - including a **2 Dogs** cache to end the day. Can't do better than that!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here is the series needed to finish. Got the first seven in the series on two trips - both rainy days. While no rain today, it was still wet underfoot.

Parked near *#9* and headed to this one - got to do them in order!
Picked the right spot to leave the firetrail - at a collapsed (destroyed?) stump that had fallen onto the trail.

Headed into the bush and was immediately drawn to a spot. Gotcha!
Carefully opened as instructed. Erm, yes. Had to be, but bigger than I expected.

Signed, replaced and off to the final.

Having found the first of the series on March 7th, today I came back with Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl for the remaining 8 caches and a small side track to K9-Capers.
It was an enjoyable walk along the fire trail. An easy find and we released the bovine.

#6774 I'm in Sydney for a belated Xmas get-togther with some family. After spending most of the last few days eating and floating in a pool as the temperature soared, today was a drizzly but pleasant at 20C, so it was just perfect for geocaching.

Now this is just getting silly. Cows don't eat goats. I think this old girl is just making excuses for her gluttony now.

I liked this container and it seems to be dry and holding together.

Thanks Importunity

Cute cow. Looks like the trackable coin is missing from this cache Sad

OCW The_Jugheads and geokids4&6. After a few bison tubes it was very exciting for everyone to find such a big container, especially after the concern we were all feeling about the cache having survived the recent hazard reduction!
FP for such a big container so close to a main trail and the suspense we all felt watching the kid carefully unscrew to reveal who was hiding inside!

Today we headed up to Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-Gai, and Berowra to have a look at the many caches that had appeared since our last visit to the area. Started our day with the wonderful “old woman” cache series located along the Oxley Trail, then visited a golden oldie from 2004 and the GZ’s of a couple of previously solved puzzle caches. Then it was a revisit to the Tipler’s Time Trail for another encounter with Macbeth, who seemed to have moved in time & space since we last visited him, resulting in a “bonus” find on the series. We finished the day with an unusual style of Traditional cache, which took us much longer than expected to reach it’s GZ to make our final find for the day. This was the 8th of 14 finds for the day.

This one was next, and we were concerned that the recent hazard reduction burn-off at GZ may have cooked the cache (roast beef?). But after searching amongst the blackened scrub, looking here, there, and everywhere, we eventually spotted an unblemished cache container that was hiding amazingly well for it's generous size. Popped the top to be greeted with some bovine action, signed the logbook, swapped a couple of trinkets, and then returned Daisy to her fire resistant home. TFTC Importunity.

Out collecting a few caches for this new GC promotion so given the number in the area figured we could make some good progress. A nice lap around the fire trails and generally didn't have too much trouble making the finds. Certainly the geo trails into the caches have quickly developed making it easy to get close to GZ. Some interesting camo and themed hides. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Found after a scramble and some knee exercise.
Well hidden by very accommodating rocks and thick bush.
Thanks for these challenging caches Importunity

There are two recently fallen trees across the track, thereby preventing access to fire vehicles if needed next summer

Struck out just before the Swans game started to make the final find in this lovely series. It was pretty spooky at night when trees had fallen down and there were so many spots to hide things. Eventually found it where the phone had been insisting it was. Really enjoyed this series and have previously awarded an FP to the final, Thanks for the caches.

This was a big container but needs to be with its inhabitant. I retrieved the Ashlie the Dolphin TB and left one of mine. Thanks for an interesting cache, wasn't expecting that.

21-Jul-20
We continued along the track and noticed another entry to the walk from the road above.

Geodog was quite excited at this one. Maybe because he could see me the whole time from where I tethered him while I checked a few likely spots. Or maybe it was because he could see the contents of the cache - is that the Channel 7 Cash Cow?
Two TBs were listed in the cache but only one was inside the container.
I collected the TB that was in the cache to move along and left one in replacement. I've been carrying it around for way too long and haven't been able to find a cache large enough to drop it off.
