A nice walk along the track to GZ. The cache was a quick find, and then I walked down to the lake and sat on the bench for a while. Very peaceful. TFTC.
This was our first visit to Selwyn Huts and it was a very interesting place to visit. It was great to have the opportunity to search for a cache at the end of the walk. With nobody else around and a container that was easier to spot than I was expecting it to be, it was a quick find.
I went for a morning drive to visit some places and find a few caches. A place I'd never visited before. Thanks for bringing me out here. A beautiful morning for a stroll to the lake. Good coordinates here so I spotted the cache fairly quickly. TFTC, Biggles.
Out here to replace a muggled cache and wandered down for this one. The plants sure have grown since I was last out here, looking really nice now. Cheers
Found with ivss_xx and Maus1. The container gave me a bit of nostalgia. I remember having one of these when I was a kid.
Found with ivss_xx and OSC. The walk down was my highlight for the afternoon, despite the souwester trying to blow us home. The bushes either side of the track were packed with finches and waxeyes, and one tree visible from the track has no leaves left, though it didn't look like it at first, as it's well foliaged in shag nests and their residents. TFTC!

Yeah, as per description, I think when going on that SH drive across the Selwyn river I've seen it without water more than I have seen it with.
Cache was quickly found, and we wondered a wee bit about the chest height while OSC got very excited about a container that he had as a kid back in his school days.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, Mr Cuddly Brick!

Had a few hours spare today so caching was on my do to list. Thanks for the cache
GZ was deserted so I lingered a while enjoying the solitude

#22922. A nice walk on a sunny afternoon. Road to the parking coords was in pretty good shape, and the muddy patches near the start of the track were easy to skirt. Troodles quickly spotted the cache and I reached in and grabbed it. Good views across the lake to Banks Peninsula, where there was still a fair bit of snow on the hilltops. TFTC.
I'm not sure if I have been here before. It was a very pleasant walk, with the sun on our backs, and the bush sheltering us from the cold wind. Even had a wee fantail escorting me for part of the way. We were a bit worried about how muddy the track would be, but apart from a bit of mud towards the start, the track was in very good condition.
Spotted the cache right away, but arms too short to reach through so StreetWalkerNZ was tasked with the retrieval. Read the nearby signboard in preparation for the earth cache, while he did this.
Apart from some birds on the lake, we had the place to ourselves. very peaceful spot. TFTC.

Ive been been down here before. Not much to see today in this fog! I signed the log here and thought I was the first finder since Jude_E three years ago. When I saw so many online logs I went back to look at the log again... yup, the subsequent finders had skipped a page. You'll find my sig out of order (but it's in red so easy to spot).
Given the goal of 8 different cache types for the August Wheel of Challenges souvenir it was a good time to grab this. I also got a multi, a multi, and an Earthcache today. Huzzah!

A nice quick find. I decided to wander out to the end of the track to frab this. It was much drier today than the last time I was out this way. I needed gumboots then. Thanks for placing your cache.
It was such a lovely sunny day Ms_KR and I deecided to go down to Leeston way and finish off the Windmill art (which we did!)
Occaisionally signed MK+KR on some of the caches today, and apologies for any generic logs.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

The cache was easier than expected to locate and is in great condition, unfortunately, the access road potholes need maintenance; TFTC
Yay, after searching another more favored spot first I had a wee think and then had the cache in hand in about 5seconds flat.
The lake was a mass of choppy waves today.

Found it after a bit of a walk..... My lung capacity isn't at it's best at the moment.... But its what it needs, ground is a bit on the squelchy tho..... TFTC
Early evening, sunny day. Soooo many mozzies on the path! But worth it regardless. Thx!
I usually come to this area for work. Today had some spare time and found couple of caches. Cache is all good here. TFTC
We did the walk to the earth cache, and collected this on the way. It was an easy find, and just far enough from the end of the track that the muggles seated there did not notice what we were up to. A beautiful spot. TFTC!
Tftc. Initially a little tricky to find. Love this spot. Remember coming here about seven years ago. Tad windy today, but still amazing views
A quick find when out at the Huts this afternoon and I can’t believe the changes. There is a proper wee track to get to the cache. All the plantings looked great. Afterwards when and had a look at my old Bach. My sons had a fantastic time in the holidays out here and we always had extra children with us especially once they were teenagers.
Found it but it took us a while as we soon realised we were looking in the wrong spot tftc
Thank you for this cache, Mr Cuddly Brick; definitely a bonus cache on the way to / from the nearby EC.
It’s ages since I’ve been out this way. Today was a day with few previous finds, so an expedition was called for !

I really enjoyed my walk down here - very peaceful. This is a well kept and mown track. Great container - that should keep the water out. Read the information board and then continued down to the lake edge. This was a bonus cache because with the earthcache souvenir up for grabs that was my actual target today. TFTC # 15,900
An ideal morning to go for a drive and find a cache. A pleasant walk down to the lake. The Lake was looking lovely in the sunshine. Lots of swans enjoying the peace. An easy find. TFTC
We're sure we've been here before, but not for some years. The exact track but a few metres shorter!!! No one else around and an enjoyable stroll. Seems the Gorse on the track is fighting a losing battle. Good to see. Thank you B, a pleasant afternoon interlude.
A stunning day at the lake today and this is the first time I have asked to this point. A great view and a quick find. TFTH
Not a breath of wind on the trail to the cache and quite warm too. Cache spotted easily. I left my laptop at work in Leeston inadvertently yesterday and went out to get it. A good opportunity to do some caching near the lake on the way home. Thanks for the cache.

Lovely wander with the kids on a sunny day! Path is sheltered from the wind

This is a cool spot. Spied the new publication and decided to stop off on a wee detour home from work. Had to wait out a handful of fusherfolk packing up and leaving but once they had gone it was a quick find and sign. Thanks for bringing me back again. Cheers.
