Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. This short trail of caches with high favourite points was high on my to do list. I was not disappointed. Every one unique and well crafted. Certainly put a big smile on my face. A favourite point from me. Thank you Deputy Washawa, for placing Morse of Course for the geocaching community.# # #15571 # #
Hahaha, yep, you got me a good one. Mrs Wombat is still laughing at my expense. Definitely worth a favour point.
Another favourite from us for a great idea and well constructed cache. While I started to sort out what was needed to find the log Mrs SKI beat me to the jump. After the rain yesterday afternoon and during the evening today dawned cool, but with sunshine, clear skies and little wind.We headed out in the morning and did a range of gadget caches out from Red Cliffs. Some great entertaining fun which we enjoyed greatly. How can we go back to searching for 'bisons in the bush' although we have not come across these in Mildura! In the afternoon we headed into town and tackled a number of Ad Labs, multis and trads. We even managed a Wherigo. Great locations and really interesting things to see. The Murray is quite a big river with lots of interesting features to check out.A great day caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Washawa.**SKI Pair****
Found this with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband. A Favourite Point for the great effort. TFTC TNLNSL

Day 2 of our trip from Adelaide to the Canberra Geobash Mega Event. Travelling from Werrimull to Hay and grabbing a few caches along the way. LOL, we loved this one. All we can say is, sucked in. We had a little laugh at ourselves once we solved the puzzle. TFTC Deputy Washawa
TFTC out on the geoscooter with Algae on his geoeuc grabbing some smilies in the Mildura area. Decided to have breakfast in Mildura then hit some caches. A great day out. Beep boop beeeeeep booopie beeeeeep
I was in the area after attending the Adelaide Leap Year Event and naturally after caches. This was a quick find while visiting Red Cliffs. Thank you Washawa for placing and maintaining this cache. I am awarding it a favourite point.
Very Well done. Ha Ha Ha! Clever!Love caches that make me smile. Here with kiwisteve2 on our way back to Sydney after our trek to the Great Leap Forward and the Ballarat Geotour (not in that order).TFTC

Tftc Deputy Washawa, the creative caches in the Mildura area are outstanding. Just as well we have a few favourite points to spare. This line of caches are all exceptional. This one was my favourite Favourite point
Quick find of the container. Then Mogni decoded the message. log stamped and off to the next one. fav point.Out with Mogni for a 3 day weekend, leaving friday morning and coming back sunday night. The plan was to go to Cowangie in Victoria and then head in to Murray-Sunset National Park then head on to Mildura and come back via Rufus River road ( in New South Wales ) to South Australia. Night 1 was in the Murray-Sunset National Park at Mopoke Hut camp ground and Night 2 at Mildura then going back to Adelaide. It must have rained recently in Murray-Sunset since the sand wasn't like fine power as expected and other sections of the National park had bypass tracks around the water filled ruts in the main track. Going around one of the bypass tracks i staked a tyre on the friday but didn't notice it to saturday morning. The stake went right beside the tread and the inside wall of the tyre, the stake was the size of my finger tip. Also turns out that i got a screw in my rear tyre thrusday night leaving work. There was alot of reinflating tyres this trip. The flora change in the national park was surprising but i figured that is due to weather or not the ground was sandy or muddy. When we got to Mildura we targeted the 2 multi's mogni wanted to do and of course they were the ones with 7 and 11 stages. After that we targeted the caches with high amount of favourite points and then left the next day via New South Wales so we could get the virtual at Lake Victoria and some of the older 2003 around the border track. A good weekend away 4x4ing.
Sir_spectre and I decided we needed to get away for a few days, so off to Murray Sunset NP and Mildura we went. Not a huge number of caches were found, but we had a great time exploring the NP. We fixed anything we could. Thanks to Washawa from mogni
A quick find but then had to work out how to access a logbook to claim it. Tricky but we got there eventually TFTC
Travelling with dot558
Loved the lizard guarding the cache and the Morse code, of course had to do it.
Loved the reaction from dot when the speaker went off

Day 14 of an epic 2 week trip with the kids to the Eyre Peninsula. Home today but a few quick caches first - I was told about this trail and it did not disappoint! All were absolutely fantastic - all get a fav point! Thanks for helping us finish the trip on a caching high! Here’s to more fun and adventure!
While Mrs TiedyeSmileys was puzzling over the how, Mr TiedyeSmileys quickly gained access to the cache.

Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Day 2 of the Mildura Adventure and we are collecting the rest of the Paddlesteamer geoart plus some interesting caches with lots of favourite points around the area. Tftc
Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer & Turtle geoarts, and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, barb2e, Klsarc & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA or MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found. I finished the day with dinner in the pub in town and had a great night !

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Found while out and about in the greater Mildura area during the Tri-State Community Celebration Events and International Geocaching Day weekend. Thanks for the cache Washawa!
In Mildura for the weekend for a 40th. Awesome gadgetry. We found the log and then wondered what the Morse was, oops. Love it and def fp. Tftc.
I had my trusty pen and my trusty pad and work out the code I did. I must admit I have no idea how it was translated from sound as it took me a few minutes even with pen and paper. A fun cache. TFTC

Another day in Mildura with BettyBoo3747, and the second day on the Paddle Steamer trail.
We had stopped early on the trail, and were heading back into town, when we came across this little series.
A nice change from the trail, and a great series of caches.
We had worked out the information before deciphering the message!
A very well designed cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.

#18735. With Robmc at the end of another day doing some of the Paddle Steamer. Taking a different route back to Merbein and Rob mentioned a number of gadget caches along this road. Well what a great way to finish the day. A favourite point of course for Morse.
We had the cache to hand quick smart and wondered what Morse had to do with it. Deciphered later in the evening and it read as I thought it would. The little family of geckos are still there and being disturbed every so often. Very nicely constructed cache.
Thanks Washawa

We loved this field puzzle and had a laugh when we solved it. A favourite point
A family of geckos living in this cache .. gave us a fright after the spiders in one of the others! TFTC.
I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I was able to leave Melbourne nice and early to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
So after a great feed and a couple of beers and of course great accomodation at the Kaneira Hotel I headed up towards Mildura to see how many I could find in the Paddle Steamer series.
I managed to find 115 and 165 in the last couple days but the uni joint in my right knee has finally said enough is enough with all of the getting in and out of the Geocruiser so it is time to spend a casual day around Mildura.
I got up nice and early to attend the Dawn Service at the park and it was great to see so many people there paying their respects.
After a wander around town and then completing the Turtle series which was the second reason why I came back up to Mildura it was time to keep my wandering around.
So after crossing the mighty Murray river for a few and then crossing back again so now I’m back on home soil.
Making my way back to where I am staying but I was given the heads up to do all of the new to me caches along here.
I am a bit scratchie on my Morse Code but after a bit of patience I was eventually able to crack the code and then add my name to the log.
Thanks Deputy Washawa TFTC

A special hide. What hath God wrought.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

eventually it all came to fruition - without wrecking anything [^]

#12983 - 5:39:00 PM; Day 3 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. We didn't quite get to Echuca last night, but we did enjoy comfortable accommodation and a great meal at the Falcon Hotel on the highway right next door to the Downunder Dunny. After collecting that cache, we set off for Echuca and a spot of caching in and around the town, avenging a couple of GCA DNFs from our previous visit. We then hit the Murray Valley Highway again as we headed west before turning onto the Mallee Highway near Piangil, then the Calder Highway at Ouyen for our next overnight destination, Mildura. As we closed in on Mildura, we took a short detour for this series of caches along Millewa Road. We certainly weren't disappointed and happy to add a favourite for the effort.. TFTC Deputy Washawa
After a couple of great days in and around Wang at the Mega, followed by a drive to Echuca, LuckyL10n and I were now on the road from Echuca to Mildura. The plan today was to stop for a few selected caches...those that looked good, those with a few favourtie points..as well all the regular and large caches we could find.
Left Echuca around 9.30am, arriving in Mildura around 6.00pm. All caches we attempted were found, apart from the one that was completely burnt out, so all up a good road trip. Now home
and it's time to log.
This little series nifty hides were a lot of fun. A lot of effort has gone into producing the caches and they certainly brought us a smile....even the couple we had to sit and figure out.
Thanks to Deputy Washawa for the effort that went into these. Great fun!! Fav points for all of them.

Caching on my way from Mildura to Adelaide today. This was a fantastic cache. Opened it up and a giant dragonfly looking bug and a lizard stood there staring at me the whole time i spent solving this. I was scared going for the log, but they didnt move fortunately. Thanks for the cache and this fantastic series here Deputy Washawa. A fav point of course!
Popped in today for a maintenance run. All is as it should be.
Good to go for another year.

Mildura and its surrounding areas are a Geocacher's dream. There are so many caches and lots of caches that will help you achieve the goals you want to reach. Also, more gadget caches than you can poke a stick at. We arrived at this cache and proceeded to play with the Morse Code machine, very cool. We then set to working out the code so that we could access the log. Once decoded, we accessed the log and signed our name. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Deputy Washawa. An FP from us for such a fun cache.
Headed off from Mildura this morning heading towards Horsham and decided to make a short detour to grab this little run of hides along the road. This was our first find and was surprised by the quality of the hide, nice work Deputy Washawa for the super cool hide, worth a fave from me for the fun factor and the craftsmanship.
Another excellent example of the imagination, creativity and skills of the CO - and it even comes with audio effects. Getting to the logbook was straightforward. The cache and contents were in good condition. Congratulations Washawa - another favourite from us.
Aside from the Gecko inside that scared the day lights out of me, this was a funny find, very clever.
Did have a little giggle at this one, very simple but earned a favourite point from us tftc
