Very smart hiding spot. It was a fun trek with the kids. Good job! JohnnyK and Taimaso12
This was the final cache for me, before heading back to the car. Great to add another smilie to my map on this lovely overcast Spring day! TFTC
With today finally being decent weatherwise, I decided I would make my way out here to Ballarat and attempt to find a few caches hidden along this trail. It was a very overcast afternoon when I finally arrived at the beginning of the track. I began making my way along the track and very quickly realised I would need to be very careful. There has been plenty of rain lately and many parts of the track were very muddy and slippery. I cautiously made my way along the path, managing to avoid slipping over while finding the caches hidden along it. After walking and finding caches for about an hour, rain began to fall, which then made me decide to return to my car. All in all, I had an enjoyable walk along this trail and was very happy that I had found most of the caches I searched for. This ended up being my quickest find of the day. Just a quick hop over the ditch and I immediately saw the likely hiding spot for the cache. Sure enough, it was there. All was in good condition and I signed my name as PagC.TFTC
Looked at the specified spot at the listed coordinates and couldn't find it. We split up and checked locations matching the hint in the area and weren't able to locate it. Will return another time!
A great walk in the still forest today. Not a sound except the distant call of the odd bird and even more distant odd truck. Some of these caches were out by 15m or so, so fan out if having trouble. Thanks to deanside and Tenkae who added to the fun. Logs signed as TAD and stamps used when the logs were soaked! Thanks GemmaSistema and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!
Spending my birthday the best way I know, caching in the bush and with great friends in the company of Tenkae and TeamAstro!!!!Thanks GemmaSistema for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
A fun caching day out before the holidays campers all move in. Thanks for putting this trail here
TFTC. Setting up camp for a week in Murray Bridge before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Moving to Ballarat for another week afterwards. Last hurrah travelling before wooding season at home starts!Happy caching and safe travels!
LumpyR quickly found this cache and threw it to LumpyJ to log so she didnt have to negotiate the ditch. It nearly backfired as his throw was of course and it nearly ended up down the embankment! Thankfully it didnt so he didnt have to go fetch down a much bigger ditch! We added a new log sheet as the old one was full. Tftc
A quick trip to Ballarat and time for a few finds. It was nice to wander along these tracks to find a few caches. Not many bird calls to be heard today. Thanks to GemmaSistema for this cache and this trail.Good to stretch the legs for a while.Did a bit of circle work trying to let the GPS settle. Took longer than it should.
Day 2 of getting sidetracked from completing the Ballarat GeoTour. I enjoyed my walk around the Koala reserve so much yesterday that today i thought i would return to do some more walking. The plan was to walk/cache for 4 hours and then take 2 hours to return. At 12 p.m., I decided i wanted to keep going rather than retrace my steps, so i organised a pick up at the other end. This was one of the many caches l found today.Big geo circle to find this cache GPS all over the shop. (And no shop in sight)
what a crazy day. this morning at 11 o'clock we set out to go caching on a 12km walk. although we missed the last few due to the sun setting alittle earlier than we had planned we managed to get 45/50 we stopped for a picnic along the way and thankfully our legs aren't in too much pain. i'd be lying if i said my feet didn't hurt but my face hurts more from smiling. thanks to gemmasistema for the majority of this trail and a couple from some others great scenic walk and i'll be back to snag those last couple i missed.
I came to Ballarat for a brunch event, then spent the rest of my time in the bush. Apart from the first and last, it was a GemmaSistema day. Yep.
My thanks for the cache, GemmaSistema.

Another good hide on a tricky track this time of year. But I guess it adds to the fun. Jumped the ditch and had what I needed. Tftc
I somehow headed off far to far into the bush for this one and was facepalming myself when I came back and saw how easy it was signed log and replaced. TFtC
Another straight forward find along our path this blustery Saturday afternoon. Log signed, and cache replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Chook (from chooknchunk) and I have wanted to do this hike through the bush collecting all the caches along the way for it seems "ages" - Only took us over a year lol before both could make it. Well, we car shuttled half way to the end so we could fit more caches in. We talked, laughed and had a most enjoyable day - hoping to return earlier than later to finish the trail. thanks Gemma for these well placed caches.
Chook and Sunset62 had been talking about doing the Eureka Trail for ages. Eventually the stars aligned and today was the day. We car-shuttled to park one halfway, and set off on the trail on this glorious autumn day. All caches were found and were generally in good condition. We absolutely had a ball, lots of banter and laughs, and we can't wait to come back soon to finish the other half.
Thank you GemmaSistema for the effort in placing all these caches so we could come out here and enjoy them.

After the first four caches down the other end of the track, it was time to head up this for a few more. Another section where the track was good and again it wasn't long and the cache was in hand and the log signed.
Thanks GemmaSistema, great morning to be out here. Cache all good.

Alittle tricky and slippery with the mud, but this was a cool cache container! TFTC

We have headed to Ballarat to attend doctor appointments and in our spare time head out to areas that we have not cached in to find the many geocaches that have popped up in the forest areas. Most of the roads were acceptable, some geocachers were on walking/bike riding section which hubby hiked on and I drove the car and would pick him up along the way. All geocaches were found and were in good condition. SL TFTC

Ah. The serenity. Me, the butterflies, and the quiet chatter of Motocross riders roaring past Tftc.
Find #2652 for me. Found at 1:35 pm with my dog Bonnie. Well, I carried Bonnie over the ditch then found the cache - nice and simple! Thanks for the fun and the cache Gemma!
This was an apt cache title that had us thinking of our NZ friends. The log took a bit of persuading to get it to come out and we just made sure we rolled it up correctly. TFTC
