Out for a day Rail Trail on bike riding with GWD.aussie and D@geo. Rode from Mirboo North to Boolarra collecting caches along the way. Thanks ducky_legs
Found with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. Have been on my radar to do the caches along the Grand Ridge Rail Trail. Thanks ducky_legs
Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches. Finished off the day on the GRT.A nice ride around on a mild day.I parked in the middle at Darlimurla station and rode firstly to Mirboo North, then back towards Boolarra.Filled with lunch I did the downhill run back to car crossing. Thanks, Robmc.
Maintenance ride done by giraffe_legs today. Cache in good order, ready to be found.
TFTC. Hint was perfect and found it quickly, although a bit wary of the 8 legged friends when pulling this out. When I first saw it was marked as a micro I thought to myself “oh man I hate micros in the bush!” But this should definitely be marked as a small.

Out for a days Rail Trail eBike riding with gmj3191 and both our better halves, MuggleWifeDoes and PamJ. Rode from Mirboo North to Boolarra collecting caches along the way. We stopped at the Boolarra Store for lunch before returning uphill to our cars at Mirboo North.
'Twas a glorious day for a ride in the country and this location totally lived up to all our expectations.
Three of us attached the object but gmj3191 came up with the prize.
**Thanks for placing this cache ducky_legs**

Out for a Sunday walk and checking on some of our caches today. This one is all good and ready to find.
This one almost disappeared into the abiss..good thing the CO hints and GPS are great.
Found tucked away nicely. Cycling and caching is great way to pass the time. TFTH
YAY - I found Car Crossing this afternoon . It was a lovely day for a stroll along the Rail Trail to find a cache or two. Thanks ducky_legs for setting this one up. I really enjoyed the peace and quite and was only interrupted a couple of times by sneakily quiet bike riders
PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.

Today was the first day of my LSL adventure to ride rail trails and geocache along the way. Great trail and some easy and not so easy geocaches found. 12 out 13 found so 13 is definitely an unlucky number! Am loving all these caches on the rail trail and really appreciate the distraction as I am mostly going uphill on my bike
TFTC ducky_legs & giraffe _legs - love what you have done on this rail trail!
GRT - Car Crossing - easy find - be careful removing log as it is rather tight in container

We needed Tanglefoot Geokids to use their little hands to get this one, as it was jammed pretty far in. Lovely morning walk from Darlimurla. TFTC
A long overdue attempt at this trail found Team Potato and Team Spider on the trail from Darlimurla heading to Boolarra. The formation of groups happened relatively smoothly with the kids on bikes racing off, the dads being pulled by the doggos and the mums, the real cachers, strolling along chatting away about all the news they'd missed divulging to each other these last few months. This was a relatively easy find once the mums had paused over 'phone difficulties' to let the muggles pass. TFTC leg teams.
The first perfect weather day we've had these holidays and the offer for some good company, well who could resist a rail trail stroll with 4 kids on bikes, 2 dogs, 4 masked adults and a picnic lunch? We thoroughly enjoyed the 10km walk/ ride to get some new caches with the Mummy Short Legs crew. This was our first find, we were worried the muggles were going to cause a problem for retrieval but then we didn't back on the sheer menagerie of ppl, bikes and animals around us - perfect decoys! Cache in good condition, log signed and returned without issue. TFTC
This is my second attempt at hunting for this cache. Today we found it with less time stress and this time more daylight probably helped too. Last time it was late in the afternoon and I had very sore knees. It was very cleverly camouflaged to blend visually with its hiding location. Not an easy find, but that makes you feel so much better when you find it.
I got a Message from Skipair with a suggestion of heading to the Mirboo North and Boolarra area to tackle the GRT trail, I had been looking at those for some time but My driving is very limited at the moment so its great to have friends to drive you around and chat with. We also did several other caches in the area, most of the trail was walked as I am unable to ride a bike after being hit by a truck. This is a beautiful area to visit with several great view locations and we certainly took a few roads that are less traveled today.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Logs signed as RASP
Thanks ducky_legs for the cache.

So far we have managed to roughly follow the rail trail in the trusty 4WD, but from now we are anticipating it will get interesting! Different muggles here-we seem to have left our stalker behind. We hope he has turned back to Mirboo North, he wasn’t the athletic type so we were wondering how far he would walk. A straightforward find, nicely disguised and hidden
Out and about with Rebel Acts again, so many of the caches will be signed RASP.
For the first 6 years of our married life Mr SKI was the head teacher at Budgeree Primary School so this is an area we used to know quite well. It is also of the prettiest areas in Gippsland, full of productive farms that used to mainly be dairy. Now a lot of them have diversified and you can see beef cattle, alpacas and goats as well the large dairy herds. And of course the spuds! There are also pockets of native forest and plantation forest tucked away as you drive the mainly winding and hilly roads. Good for the soul.

Stopped here on our way through to Boolarra after our little walk along the rail trail. The geokid spotted this clever camo quickly whilst I was looking in all the wrong spots. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Out and about for a day of trekking with merkinofloki. Looking forward to a good old fashion hike along the rail trail with many finds to be had and a bloody glorious day to be doing so :3 and the kookaburras are following us along, must be our spirit animals for the day!!
Replaced this cache on 12/12/2020 as the previous container was muggled. Slightly bigger container in the same place with a little bit of camo attached.
On our way home from a short overnight trip to the beach we made a detour to the rail trail. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at nearby Darlimula Station before walking towards Mirboo North. After a snack and drink we continued on in this direction and were pleased to make a quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Our for some exercise and to get some veggies from nearby we decided to detour through the Bush on the way home to find a couple caches, a lovely drive through the Bush on this glorious spring day.
Geo mum made the find today.

Well what a cracker of a day! Travelled to Boolara for our exercise, after parking the car we rode to Mirboo North for lunch (picked up a couple of caches along the way). Then we stopped to find the rest of the caches along the way.
Saw that a fellow geocacher that I had met previous was signing some of the logs with today's date so when we spotted him looking for a cache we had a good catchup.
Once again managed to pull the bike up right at GZ and saw a likely spot. Sure enough there was cache, getting my eye in now!

Great day to be outdoors on the bike again lots of mugglies around triple logging this one. TFTC
Imagine my delight when I found this trail while out for a drive. I had never been this way before and the weather was so beautiful I couldn't help but go for a walk. I even met cache owner on unicycle with his trusty mate running alongside.
The cache was located quickly even though I initially overlooked it due to its colour. Well it has been a while since I was caching.
Cache was in goof condition. Tftc

Mango mermaid had a phone call here as I had one here on the way back down, small chances of that happening during nearly 7 hours of caching but still really liked this quick easy find.
I live in Latrobe City Council boundaries and hence not in lockdown. Needed to get out for some fresh air. Not a soul of the rail trail except me. This was a very quick find. TFTC.
Didn't find this one earlier but got it on the way back. Found with geowife kezza1211 naturegirl and rogerz1956

Found on an outing with my favourite Geocacher kryslazz. It had been a while Enjoyed every find on this trail that I had never visited despite living localled. Can't wait to come back and finish it off, as it got dark before we could nab the last few.
Thank you for a lovely walk
Thank you for a lovely walk
I’d wanted to get back on the trail for the last couple of weeks and when I saw a whole new bunch of caches had been released I thought, why not. Shai Marelle and I set off with Baby Henley in toe. When we left there were still some FTF and thought we might be lucky enough to snag a couple. I knew by the first cache we were out of luck as Hunter had been out here this morning before us. Oh well... I wasn’t overly fussed. Quick find here. Cool evidence of the old railway TFTC
My wife had the plan of running a rail trail today while 999HK and I did geocaching on it. Which rail trail quickly got changed to be this one when all the new geocaches got released here. In the end, my wife ran the entire rail trail up, back and a half, a total of over 31 kilometres. We walked over 12.5 kilometres getting the middle section.
We got back to Darlimurla Station and said hello to a gentleman who was doing push ups on the table and his dog. We then took a photo of the station and sat in the car for a food stop. Then the gentleman got on his unicycle and rode off and it was only then that we realised that we had just met Giraffe Legs and Sabrina. Sorry we didn't get to really say hello, next time.
After finishing our food stop, we walked to this one. While 999HK checked 1 stop, I failed to find this geocache the first 2 times, but found it the third
Thanks for the cache ducky legs & giraffe legs
