Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was purely caching focused, mostly targeting specific caches from a pre-organised list, but a couple others were added to the agenda when we happened to be passing right by while en route to another. Yet another long, productive day with a very high success rate. We ended the evening with a pub dinner and a ride around the ferris wheel at Glenelg.Another fairly straightforward one here, google maps lady didn't seem to like navigating to the final location. Thanks for the cache
In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. Had to do a couple of u-turns to get here but made a quick find. Thanks for the cache Freddo
Waiting for a tyre balance and rotation nearby so walking to find a cache or two between showers
Happy to pick off these nice and easy Wherigos, wu=ill take then when I can, With lots of local road closures, I was glad I chose Shanks's pony as my mode of transport. All good here, thanksA mish-mash of a day today as a couple of my group ( me included) realised that out trip to Adelaide would be extended for up to a week, oh no, quel domage. Si I headed i=out early doors for a few early morning picks down Mawson Lakes way. Then had a coffee and chat to farewell a colleague, then afterwards was a trip into the city to pick off a few low-hanging fruit. I filtered my app to Wherigo,l Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache and Virtual but flicked on Traditionals and off depending on where I was etc. A great day to get some awesome, and popular, caches under my belt. As ever, the a[preciation to the COs is most genuinely respected.
Found it A quick find with no cars in sight.aka the coloured mint tin by the sea peopleaka Minty ManTFTC
I had been reducing my amount of cache finding so that the recent leap day mega event could be my 4000th find. Now that I've reached my goal, I am able to find caches freely without worry of finding too many of them.I was on my way to an appointment in North Adelaide and swung by a couple of caches along the way.I'm always trying to increase my wherigo count. I was aiming to get this on the leap day. However, a wherigo got published at the mega site. So, it was skipped.Today I came to make the find. I got the required numbers and the find was made quickly and easily here.Cache is in good condition. Thanks Freddo for this wherigo cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4033 on the 6th of March 2024.I appreciate all the CO's who spend time and resources contributing to the Geocaching game board.Shoutout to the reviewers who dedicate time to make sure our game is safe and enjoyable.I look forward to attending GCACHF8 in Sydney in early 2025. Hope to see plenty of people there!
After attending the St Claire CITO event, I turned my attention to some nearby physical caches in the area. I have spent little time in this area so there was an abundance of caches from which to choose. All caches found without problems and in good condition unless stated otherwise. Thanks for the cache Freddo the Non Believer.# # #14247 # #
With The Great Leap Forward mega over it was now time to pack up camp and just cache around Adelaide. With many solved puzzles we zig zagged around picking out multis and Wherigos as well. The glorious weather made for a great exploration of your fine city.We were lucky to be able to fluke a car park at GZ and make the obvious find. Thanks Freddo for the Wherigo placement.
I'm glad the road was quiet.Feels great to have found a Wherigo cache on leap day.
I haven't done a where-i-go in ages, not many around..So glad to get this type. Lovely church.Tftc
Logging this morning with Luckyl10n as we begin our leap day experience here in cloudy Adelaide. Lots of morning traffic. Glad I am retired..Cheers Freddo
Things finally aligned and I was able to get myself to Adelaide for the Mega. Even better my buddy Spiffy- had made the trip too so we teamed up for some adventures. This cache has us a little stuck. We thought we checked there but then rechecked and had it found. Thanks to Freddo the Non Believer for the fun and the adventure.
Here from Melbourne with Fleabag for the Leap Day Mega and after some fun at the main event and after getting the Web cam caches we randomly looked for some others and this was one of them before Fleabag had to head to the airport. The car park was full here so a bit of inventive parking was done and luckily we didn't have to stay too long because Fleabag was straight onto this one. Thanks Freddo for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
#19263 - 8:11:00 AM; Day four of "The Great Leap Forward" road trip and the big day has arrived. The plan for today was for feathertop and I to gather as many caches as possible against the various criteria where we were missing the 29 Feb add on. All up I managed 21 caches, 2 events and a webcam, while feathertop grabbed a couple less, as she has cached more heavily in Adelaide than I have over the years. All caches were found in good condition and, where appropriate, were returned as found once the log was signed. This was the first of four in this series located today. Apologies for the largely generic logs TFTC Freddo
After having a ball at the mega event, Im now heading back to my accommodations. No problems with the where I go cartridge, and after a short stroll, I easily found and signed the log.
This one was a challenge with the road works. A few false starts getting to the posted co-ords. At least all I had to do to get to GZ was to retrace my steps. Love that blue line on the GPSr.
Out with AussieSPARKIE to find a couple of nearby caches. AS showed me how to tackle Wherigo’s. What a beautiful residence - former Church. Facade kept in original condition. Tftc
TFTC. A quick trip to Adelaide to help youngest child move and try out recently purchased camper trailer … why not pick up some caches!
Happy caching and safe travels!

After a movie marathon at Arndale due to the extreme summers day, I had to grab a couple of caches on my way home to keep my streak going.

We arrived at this location activated the package and soon had the coordinates for GZ. We drove the short distance and quickly located the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Freddo for the cache.
Tried one cache today, and found it.
After an appointment in Allenby Gardens, I decided to find a cache on my way home. This one seems suitable.
Cannot remember when did I finish the first part of this Wherigo cache, but it should be about one year ago. Then the final location was stored in the to-find list, until today.
Easy parking near final location. Found the cache in the first place I checked. Proudly found it without the help of hint. Like these straight forward caches.
Cache container is in good condition. Signed the log book, and placed it back. Last found for this cache was over 4 months ago.
Thanks for the Wherigo cache, Freddo the Non Believer.

Adelaide Trip. May 2021. Day 8. I started my day off around Unley and the region around it. I needed a Puzzle today and was looking to do the Lab series here as well. A nice day that finished a bit sooner than expected so I headed West to finish some other activities.
I headed off across town to finish a lab series. As I went past I thought this one looked nice and straight forward. Happily it went smoothly and I was able to locate this cache ok.
Thanks for the cache Freddo

This evening, I headed to West Lakes to drop-in to Heath's 22nd birthday event to say hi and provide my congratulations, before returning home to my own home cooked dinner. I did manage to detour through West Lakes and Seaton suburbs. It was a cold and brisk night, but at least there wasn't any rain during my evening out.
My final geocache find tonight during my return home. I thought I would end with a Wherigo cache type for today's calendar day, so I stopped at the posted coordinates to answer the difficult question, and admire the used churches here. They were actually kinda cool, and were nicely decorated and lit up in the night time. I then took the short drive towards GZ parking nearby, and finding the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Freddo the Non-Believer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Allister w needed this cache type on this calendar month. First cache of the day and a quick solve/find at gz. I do like the fact that this series is different cache types.
Found with JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, Michells&hound logging under the team name of " JAMS ". We found half a dozen caches before the "Italian Dreams" Meet-in breakfast event and there we were joined by gridge98 for the rest of the day. Today we were targeting certain cache types for some member's of the group for a SFE challenge cache or two, as well as clearing the next section of puzzle caches out. Alot of the puzzle caches visited today have been stamped before my one or more of the party with the most finds had by one person being 46 and least 17 but that was balanced by the tree climbs, structure climbs and a tour of the storm water system. It was a casual paced day with a stop for lunch and nice weather all day.

Out and about with sir_spectre, JJ52, allister w, gridge98 and michells&hound grabbing a huge range of puzzles and multies with a couple of other randoms thrown in too. Some of these I ahve had solved for a while others I ahdn't looked at but as a team we conquered them all.

Found with the JAMMS(JJ52,allister w, mogni, michells&hound and Sir Spectre) crew plus gridge98 on a day driving around the northern and western suburbs finding caches that we had solved or required for our challenges or stats. Beautiful weather and great company made for a really great day. TFTC Freddo
Over at the doctor's again, managed to find 5 nearby. 2 new trads and then went out of my comfort zone and found a multi, a puzzle and even a wherigo, and four out of five were by Freddo.

Another one in the series tick off, A nice and simple wherigo with a nice and simple find.
With my early birds #13 event this morning a discussion was made around getting some of the TOTT caches with Davidwazza and with the assistance Brad&Janet. I soon left them and went on my way to clean up the rest of the caches requiring the new TOTT in town and the ladder made it out once.
All up 21 caches for the morning.
Thanks for the cache

Headed out to the western suburbs today for a grab bag of multis, whereigo, trads and labs. All bar one of the caches were in the Charles Sturt Council areas and I was impressed with the quality of their reserve upgrades...leaves a lot of other Council areas to shame. But anyway, I digress. All caches were in good condition and found within reasonable search times thanks to good coordinates. TFTC
This Whereigo, even though it is similar to the one we did earlier, went much more smoothly .

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Was trolling around the map last night as this was the first official day back in the office so I was looking for a cache to find on the way in and I noticed this new whereigo. Well, relatively new. I must set up notifications for these. So I started the process of downloading the cartridge and hey presto it worked. I was not looking forward to the convoluted process of getting it loaded otherwise.
This morning I made the detour to the area as I went into the office and when I reached the zone, the question was answered and the final unveiled. Quizzical look at the location but then thought this is a Freddo cache...
Back into the geomobile and off to GZ. Had to park a little way away and wander to GZ. Was amazed at how little muggle traffic there was. Wandered over and touched the cache in the first place I felt. Gotta love that. Stamped the log and replaced the cache in its hide. How do these keep coming up? But keep 'em coming.

I had been to a lunch event in the city, then North Adelaide and Unley and thought I would come here to find this Used 2B Wherigo.
Arrived at the Used 2B's made it into the zone and hey presto got what I needed, cool.
A quick drive around a couple of corners, a walk across a busy road, arrived at GZ, found the cache, stamped the log, replaced then back to the car and on to Glenelg before heading home. [^]
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Found with Team Waldron on a lovely, wet, rainy and cold Saturday morning. I am sure I have been down this street before. A lovely building! TFTC
Finally allowed to go and get her back fixed, so Owl took the opportunity to find some caches on the way. After chasing some air raid shelters she headed to a quick wherigo. Park and search GZ in the obvious spot. Nothing. Search again. Nothing. Check instructions, coordinates and logs. It must be here. Tried again and found the cache in the first place she'd looked. Owl is positive Freddo employs gremlins to tease her!
After a lovely walk in a park in the inner northwest, I I I I checked on the state of constructions near a disabled GSM. Nup, still building, meh. I I I I I I I I noted there was a wherigo nearby and did some road cornering gymnastics to arrive at this one. I I I I I I got out of the car, but soon realised I needn't have. Off we go, more bitumen gymnastics and arrived right where I I I I I I wanted to be. Super quick grab and sign of the log book. Sweet Charles Sturt Mazda and it doesn't matter what they say, a mint tin is still a container, which was in good condition given its age. Nice work Mr Freddo the non-believer. I hope my stutter didn't bother you.
So cold, wet and windy today. Needed an excuse to get out and find a cache without (almost) having to get out of the car.
Thanks Freddo the Non Believer for the cache.

Yay. Found it. Another fun adventure, many thanks for the hide.
So the advantage of having the monkey learning to drive is having a good excuse to disappear for an hour without explanation. Picked her up from work and had her drive me to the wherigo location, looks great at night. (See pic) Scratched my head then remembered another similar one. Continued driving around trying to get onto the motorway and stopped for a snack and keyed in the new co ordinates. Then I made her drive me to gz. She checked out a nearby business, I made my find, and wham! There goes another night (and wet) hour off the 75 required hours. And we probably never left a page of an old fashioned street directory!!
Got home in time for dinner being dished up by spidermonkeysdad. And no questions were asked..... cool !!
GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent, looking forward to it!! A new date has been proposed for October, fingers crossed.

Nice use2be as usual and even more interesting that there was a congregation at GZ. We had less than the 10 limit so all legal as LL handed us the book a few seconds after he had finished with it. LL was the smarter parker. First mini event for me in months. I had the COVID app running so I was safe .
Thanks Freddo and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!
So still enjoying my escape from quarantine and making the most of being able to get out and about. Decided to do a few caches in the Western suburbs which seem to have sprung up since I was out of the country or just haven’t got to before.
It was a strange arvo of mixed weather but ended up being a lovely winter afternoon with 7 caches found and some multi info gathered.
So many Used2B they are the gift that keeps on giving. Praise the Lord. Quick Wherigo with interesting options, random spot for such a big church. Nice find at GZ. TFTC Freddo
