Out and about on a sunny day with TBU1BIKESU and muggle brother Siggi to get more smiles.Found the cache and signed the log. Tftc . Gcoven
We had done 9 witch hats in the years before, but needed help for the other puzzles. Now we start to collect couple of more caches of this series. Sometime fast finds, some with longer searches, some DNFs..... Tftc Gcoven
After applying the offsets we headed to the spot. Hint made sense once we spotted something there.Had to wait for some muggles to move on so went to find another cache before doubling back round for this one.TFTC
We were in the area to catch up with friends and stopped here on our way to grab this cache to continue our streak. Thanks for find #5145TNLN
We solved this Witch series a long time ago at home. We needed help with some of the mysteries - THANK YOU.Today we went for a nice bike ride along the promenade. We started in Clontarf Beach. Our search often took a long time - we couldn't find many caches. We'll be back.....Thank you for this GeoArtTeam sissifalke
Over at the markets today. I thought it was high time to find this one when we grabbed some fish & chips for lunch.

Previous logs and the hint were very helpful and I soon had this one found and signed. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.

Wanting to get a good walk in today, I decided to drag Fangsoki up to Redcliffe for some Witches Hats. He brought his scooter, I brought Shanks’ Pony.
Having parked the car near our first cache, the plan was to walk south grabbing whatever we could. I of course had not taken into account the fact that it was Sunday, and there were markets on. Ooops! Oh noticed there was now an offset as we got closer, so applied them and made a quick find at the new set of coordinates.
Thanks for the cache Gcoven.

Had this one solved for quite a while. Today over in Redcliffe I wandered in adding to my coordinates and found the cache. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Gcoven. All good with this cache and puzzle
I was back this way today as I was picking up my husband from the airport; so beforehand I found more of the Witch’s Hat series that I had solved. It was blowing a gale so not as busy as it could have been.
Didn’t take too long to find. It was still slightly damp so I sat in sun/wind to dry out the logsheets a bit. Tftc

I usually don’t have much success with this series but I’m happy to say that I found 3 today. A previous log did help in the search. The log was damp so in have placed it in a new dry ziplock. TFTC
Puzzled solved, stopped for lunch close to GZ then found the cache after calculating the off-sets, all good with the cache. TFTC Gcoven
With a little hint from a previous log this was a pretty quick find. Amazing spot on a beautiful day!
The original plan for today was to tackle Dayboro… again… but with one of the team feeling unwell, a change of plans was called for… Patrol14 and I settled on Moreton LGA (for another challenge) and spent the day chasing anything that required a Special Tool (yet another challenge) or anything shiny that caught our attention…
Another trip to the Peninsula, another chance to get a few more witches hats… we bypassed #21 as GZ was covered with muggles…
Arriving at GZ, Patrol14 mentioned the offsets… mmmm… that and 2wagtails log made us move over there… and that’s when things made sense and a cache was found…. Tftc…

This morning, jesswrigley and I planned to take baby Warren on a walk up to Mount Cotton. We took the direct main route up to the summit, and then proceeded to take a loop around the area via the *What Goes Up Must Come Down* (WGUMCD) series. To replenish our energy, we then detoured past Capalaba for a lunch, before proceeding home.
In the late afternoon, it was an errand at Clontarf that allowed me to drive north and visit a few more of the *Witch's Hat* series.
As I approached GZ, I checked the hint to realise that an additional offset was required here. So performing the mental arithmetic, I updated my coordinates to put me in a suitable area, and then it was just a five minute search to then find the typical camouflaged cache type. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Gcoven for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Hmmm. This is becoming frustrating. I think we have more dnfs than fs along this stretch
Holly was at a netball training session this morning over at Suttons Beach, so whilst she was running around, playing tug-of-war, skipping, passing netballs to the other girls and playing in the water I wandered along the coastal path to find this cache.
The hint is very clever and not the first thing that comes to mind.
The container was full of tiny ants.
Thanks!!

It seems today we’ve had more DNF’s than we have funds. Applied the offset but still didn’t have any luck. Very frustrating. Thanks Gcoven for the series
Bugger! We had just fixed a DNF on a hat cache only to create another. That’s the way the cookie crumbles especially if you are one of those new age fanatics that cook your biscuits with quinoa flour.
Wasn't meant to be today.. we were not sure we were looking in the right place and extended our search. Still not sure where we were meant to look... decided to try again some other time.
After attending the Mega and knocking off the Dark Side, 65 Roses, Horses, Pac-Man, Geosaurus and I️Geo series I hunted witches and challenges today.
I think I must have cachers fatigue after the weekend. Struggling to find anything today.
Thanks Gcoven for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Skyline_Pigeon and I came out here today to pick up some pram friendly caches. Had to use the previous log for directions and then found it fairly quickly. TFTC
Hrm... cache was not where I expected given the hint... Time to send a photo to the CO! Turns out there was some trimming done and the hide became exposed and went away.
Luckily, my large geocaching supplies container was in my car boot. Usually this is much derided due to lack of room to fit groceries, but today proved I should keep it there! Replaced with permission of the CO a couple of metres away. The hint sort of still applies!

The quickest find ever. Armed with the hint, spotted the cache as I approached gz.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Gcoven. Great puzzles. I love solving them.

Sat down and attempted to look invisible, reflecting light waves, noise and seagull guano. Alas I blinked and that was the signal the muggles of my where abouts like a freshly fried newspaper roll of chips brings in the seagulls. So I waited and waited. Wasn't the first side I checked so in slow motion slid the derriere from one side the bench to the other, in the same fashion a K9 would slide over a patch of grass. A little digging had the container in hand. Not a fruitful early morning but xmas day beckons for the ritual gorging of food and swill. Thnaks Gcoven for an entertaining morning out.
Nice quick find here and low muggle activity thank goodness. Thanks for placing this one Gcoven found in record time .
Out this morning on a lovely little bike ride around the Redcliffe foreshore. It was arranged to meet up with Willis007 and, Liz and Bruce for a ride along the Redcliffe seaside to collect a few caches. Not an easy series to complete as some hides were very well hidden and some missing. With the CO’s permission we replaced a couple that were known DNF’s, we managed to also find a couple extras that were missing.
It was a fun ride and we had a few laughs along the way. There were people out all over today doing all sorts of activities, the pool area was a buzz and the markets were in full swing so we had to stop for some mini pancakes.
Thanks for the caches, now to get the other half of the series at a later date.

Today we teamed up with Chamad and Jnr Chamad and Willis007 to find this and several others in the series. What a great bike trail series and with it being a perfectly beautiful day many were enjoying the beach activities and vibe around this location. Thanks gcoven for arranging this puzzle series in such a beautiful location.
Collecting a few finds in the hat series this beaut day.

An enjoyable puzzle and a surprisingly quick find here after Krcamber dropped me off while she found a parking spot. I layed eyes on it just as she caught up to me. TFTPC, Gcoven!
No parks near GZ so I threw Swearah out of the car while I went to find one. Turns out she didn’t need me as she had found it just as I turned up. Easy for me! TFTC!
Loving Friday early finish from work. Mr CuriousQuest and i headed out to find a few caches. A few more witch's hat puzzles to be found. This one was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Out on a Friday afternoon with Selva Girls to pick up some more Witch's Hats. This was a nice quick find; log signed and cache returned as found. TFTC
Wasn’t sure where the coords wanted me but then I spotted it. Thanks for the cache
Found with goldielover and the geohounds. A magic day for caching along the beach.
So many muggles around making it difficult to nab some of these caches.

Out and about on a Wednesday night, collecting some new witches hat caches and returning to avenge some prior DNFs. Sadly, I only found 10 of the 15 caches I searched for, and ended up adding some new caches to the DNF list.
All up though, a lovely walk along the beach, and much much better than being at home watching Netflix :p. Getting much closer now to finishing this geoart - can't wait to see it all together again!
Solving these puzzles was a lot of fun and I recall needing help with only a few of them. Some PAFs at GZ required tonight, because of some clever hides. Well done to the CO, and thanks for the great geoart series.

Chasing Witches today and I was about to give up as I culled all the spots as I checked where it could be then I saw something a bit sus so I checked further as it was exactly what I was searching for. Signature left and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Solved today while on the boat while some new electrics & pulpits were being fitted. Great spell formula & I recognised how to get the numbers right away on this one, finally one using my degree of speciality.️
We headed here for lunch to kill 2 birds with one stone - food & a couple of caches in the one location. Excellent! Great reef fish burger & chips at the gazebo down the path, then back for another try. 1st look was while waiting for the food but no luck on 1st pass. Returned and muggles had settled in to the seat near gz. Waited a little bit but they weren't looking to move anytime soon, so headed off to have a look for #23 which I also solved just earlier today. Back for another pass on the way out & the coast was clear. U-turn, park, crossed the road then a muggle turned up & sat on the fence tight near gz! Waited a while longer, walked out on the beach, then finally they moved on & we swooped in. J tried one corner, I tried another. Mine was successful when a familiar shape became visible under done cover. Yay! At last!

Another enjoyable day with caching buddies DisSister and La Kedi. Found the cache with the bag being a little wet as mentioned and a few ants making home there but they were quickly dislodged to find the log book dry. I was amused by the the antics of a nearby muggle and her dog who took a bit of time to finally move on so we could replace the cache. TFTC
The cache housed a colony of ants when we opened it up so that was a bit of a surprise. Pleased to be able to make use of the seat to rest our weary legs as we signed the log. Cache was found safe and dry but the bag is a little wet.TFTC Gcoven
Conveniently located for a quick rest stop while the other two went to find the container. Cache was dry but the bag was a bit wet. We had to wait quite a long time for a muggle with her disobedient dog to move on in order to replace it safely. There was a point at which I thought we might have to go away and come back later!

We are staying a few days in Scarborough looking for some of the caches in this series. We had a nudge solving just a few of the puzzles which was appreciated and some we have not solved as yet. Not too many passers by this morning made for a quick find here. Thanks Gcoven.
Thanks for the fun hunt. I overthought it and went to the wrong corner. Some have made themselves at home here, but apart from that all is well.
Today I'm taking a ride around Redcliffe with T-Tech and teamdfl to collect this series of caches, plus a few extra teamdfl has done most of the work of solving, and I added a few last night. We met up at Crockatt Park, and set off at 9am and were back at the cars not long after 5pm, having ridden about 30kms, with a haul for me of 37 smileys, 2 DNFs and 1 DNS (did not stop!)
A familiar puzzle and the numbers fell out easily. A quick find. TFTC, Gcoven.

Nice quick solve on this one. Was also a quick find with mum, sometimes the geogods are smiling. TFTC.
Today was reasonably quiet here due to a strong south westerly wind blowing keeping the muggles at bay. I love how these caches are placed in a mainstream location with thousands of people walking by each week and not having a clue what's around them.
The puzzle was solved a few weeks back with the help of Google. Today was the day to pick up the cache. I've seen this type of cache a few times so when i laid eyes on it, i knew what it was straight away. The hint led me straight to it.
Loved solving these caches so far, with a good mix of easy and hard puzzles to test my brain.
Thanks CO.

I'm curious if any chemists have had a read over this one Handfuls of B doesn't sounds safe, and I understand powdered Os can create poisonous gas, whilst I believe powdered Ir can outright spontaneously ignite in air. Solid gloves, eye protection and a fume cabinet and your potion is good to go I reckon (just don't drink it).
PS I touched Fiona Horne's boot once at a DEF FX concert.

This one was sorted on my first run through the series.
Had to skip a few along here due to the muggles. Some I managed on the way back, but some will have to wait for the next trip. The bike provided good cover at this one as the muggles were wandering by.

An early morning saunter along this area, picking up seashells, witches and sunrise photos. No issues with the puzzle when I saw it a few weeks' ago, and no issues this morning collecting the smilie.

Found with Quesera in this beautiful location as part of this great series thank you for placing this cache here
We found ourselves down in Redcliffe again as our muggle daughter had an eyelash appointment, we are forever grateful that a tonne of caches are now down here so we can fill in the couple of hours we have to wait. Once we dropped her off we zoomed off to grab some more witch caches. On our first walk we bumped into some friends we haven’t seen in while so stopped to have a chat with them first and talked all things outback as that seems to be the only place we can all holiday at the moment.
We had great luck with most caches, a struggle with a couple but the CO helped us out. It wasn’t long before we had a phone call to be picked up so that was the end of our morning down here.

I had not solved this one on my last visit here, but applying a bit of geologic and some common sense, I took the jetski for a spin and had a good search in a location which fitted the hint only 5 or 6 metres away.
Having now solved this puzzle, I returned today, where I made the quick find.

***COs- still trying to catch up on my significant logging backlog. It started as a series of unfortunate events in 2019 and went from there.
????+????=????????
I was initially trying to log sequentially but have misplaced an SD card that held things up so now it's a haphazard affair and progress is being made.
Logging your cache on the day I visited it, not the day I'm logging on so it could be a few years back.***

hatzofff has been bailed out of hospital for the day and is taking in the sea breeze in company with RoddyC, Snickersallan, patrol14 and DiamondJs. We had a nice walk/roll along here to find what we could before hatzofff had to be back at hospital.

Today for me was my first day out of hospital (day release) after 10 weeks. Now in my wheelchair my caching angels, Snickersallan, Patrol14, DiamondJS, Echocache1 and RoddyC, took me from cache to cache. Great day out in the fresh air.

Out for the day with RoddyC, hatzoff, Snickersallan, DiamonJs and echocage1 for a fun day finding Witch's Hat caches. The puzzles were quite interesting and certainly had me scratching my head a few times.
Most of the finds were quickly found but needed a PAF on a few.

A chance to cache around Redcliffe area with friends again. Too good to miss, especially as Hatzofff has a day pass from Hospital. Nice early start as I assisted with those already found, then a "Brunch" before tackling those unfound. After an early Dinner, time to get Hatzoff back to Sunnybank Private before 4.30pm. What a great day!

Up from NSW to do a weekend of caching with some old caching buddies from my Qld days, this series, I have loved solving the puzzles and learning/relearning things about witches of all types. TFTC - sorry about generic logs, I love the walk around this boardwalk, my son used to live local so I have walked the walk many times. TFTC
Meet up with geo friends, patrol14, DiamonJs, echocage1, hatzofff and RoddyC for a really fun day with beautiful weather and great scenery. Enjoyed all the puzzles in this geoart, needed a few PAF's on some but overall a nice spread of different types made me get stuck into them quicker than most others I've started. Apologies to the CO for the generic logs but if I don't I'll procrastinate and not log them in a timely manner.

A quick trip into Redcliffe today to collect a smilie for the day. I parked nearby and walked to where I suspected gz would be. I was able to grab the container as I tied my shoe, I signed the log and returned with the nearby muggles none the wiser. Tftc Gcoven!
I was bored miserable at home this afternoon so while my partner was enjoying Animal Crossing I decided to head out to Redcliffe to hunt down some Witch's Hat caches. I've had most of these solved for a while now, so I thought I'd take advantage of this stunning day to grab some of them. Most of the caches were easy finds, but the entire area was booming with muggles so I had to do a lot of waiting at times to time my grabs just right.
I ended up with 7 finds, but DNF'd on 2. We can't always have a perfect day.
I really enjoyed spending my afternoon out here today. I don't really come through here often, so thanks for giving me an excuse to visit.

I was running out of caches to collect on my normal Wednesday Ride Round Redcliffe and given I managed to solve nearly all of these without seeking additional assistance I thought I’d have a 6 month caching experience to collect these. No change of plan, I put the word out to Mrs Slow Puncture to do a ride and well one thing lead to another and before any witch could cast a spell we had collected all that we considered were there to find.
Well that is our story but there are a few that eluded us. Maybe witches in action after all.
Hot coffee, pies and even cakes were sacrificed once we had reached the Redcliffe Jetty.
Thanks, I love a good bike cache

Wednesday. A lovely quick find here with the help of great hint. Lovely area and so many people around. Lots of people walking their dogs too. Nice to see heaps of kids around whilst on their school holidays. Found the cache at GZ without anyone noticing.
This was the 19th of 26 caches found on this outing.

A second visit chasing witch’s hats and sunny day in good company The plan was to pick up the caches near the bridge then head north. Lots of fun, chat, coffee and cake, a lovely lunch, and even a special hat
A quick puzzle that did not strain the brain. We searched for a couple of minutes then read logs. Oh I think it must be here, and it was.

I think all things witchy and wicked are right in my element as we made pretty quick work of most of this spooky puzzle series and this one was no exception. We have been waiting for a chance to come and make the pickup for a while now with very busy schedules at the moment. So today with a rare free day for the lot of us we braved the muggles enjoying the sun and made some finds. I must admit to a little cache blindness here as I walked around looking at anything and everything that could match the clue in the vicinity thankfully the geokid was more on the ball and quickly made a find when she came to see what was taking me so long. I must admit while she might not be the caching fanatic of the family she certainly has the most success TFTC
Back to my potion days at witch school, and I was in my element! Although there were plenty of people close by to GZ today, we were able to see what we were looking for very quickly and soon had the log signed.

After a great bike ride/geocaching time yesterday I was keen to come back and find some more of these fun puzzles. Today I only rode 6km after work before it was time to get home to make dinner. My geo work friend and I solved this one on our lunch break and were on to solving this one in a flash. At gz there were muggles galore so with the hint in mind I used all my stealthing ability to retrieve this cache and happily rode along . Thanks again for the fun
After grabbing a FTF in Redcliffe I headed with grannysmith1947 to Margate to grab two more of the witch geoart. Had a look the other day but it alluded me. Not this time.

I solved the next release of Witch's Hat puzzles on Sunday night, and decided to head out to Redcliffe with geopup after work today.
It certainly was very busy late this afternoon, it was still quite warm which I was thankful for.
A super quick find today for this one. Log signed and all replaced as found, all is well with the cache.
Thanks Gcoven for the fun puzzle.

Finally able to catch up on logging caches found earlier in the year. After quite a few days of puzzle solving, I finally was ready to tackle some witches Today, I was out an about for a day of caching fun with barbbowman, bubba89 and Slammer1989
We had a pleasant stroll around the area, relocating the car as required. After a short search, we were able to find the cache easily enough and with our names added to the log book, we continued on our way [^]
Thank you Gcoven for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Well it certainly looks like the foreshore is bristling with activity this morning, muggles & geocachers alike!
Several 'active' crews about as it would appear!
Understandable I suppose given the beautiful weather & smilies to be found ... hopefully!
5th of 11 found today.
"Double, double, toil and trouble
fire burn and cauldron bubble,
Eye of newt and toe of frog
Wool of bat and tongue of dog.
By the pricking of my thumbs
something wicked this way comes! (William Shakespeare)
Not quite the recipe we needed but still inspiring ...
Soon found the correct ingredients which made good on delivering the spell we required to locate this cache.
A nice quick find here after missing it on the first pass! [
Made our mark & replaced as found.
