This cache is not in the original location (see photo on DNF log). Looked around the general area and the little sistema container appears to be missing. Someone claimed a find earlier the same day so perhaps it was just a DNF for us, but wherever it is, it's not in the area that the clue points to.

Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 1: TripCache #4: An early start out of Brisbane we decided to stop here and find a cache. Cache didn't take too long to find once at GZ and no muggles about. I stopped to take in the views and pause to take a breath. Log signed and replaced as found. All good with this cache. TFTC.
Heading South from Brisbsne with CaptainKirky on a road trip holiday. After visiting the hippy town Byron Bay we stopped by Angels Beach for a quick find with amazing views of the beach.
Out for the day with Peppa and this time I had a plan. With this current Wheel of Challenges still in progress, I thought it would be great to grab most of the caches needed for this challenge as well as another LGA ticked off.
After an early start, we played I-Spy down the motorway and stopped to grab a few caches in Byron before heading to this cache. As we approached the sign, a couple were happily sitting admiring the view. We stopped to read the sign, admiring the view, chatting away and checking out where the cache could be. Luckily the couple decided it was time to go and left. This gave Peppa the chance to check a few locations and came up with the cache.
With log signed cache was returned. Beautiful beach!!

A play day with Patrol14 and she suggested Byron Bay to help with the current GC Wheel of Challenges Icon Hunt… suits me, a little further south and I venture into fresh LGAs… and these days it’s all about the LGAs…
Having left Brisbane well before a decent hour we played I-Spy down the M1 while discussing a plethora of current issues…
We then cached from Brunswick Heads south to Evans Head enjoying a great day out…
This location was a standout for me today… not necessarily for the 3 Brothers story, but the story boards on the path… as a visitor I can’t help but wonder why this memorial isn’t in a more prominent location…
Thanks Now_To_Morrow for giving us a reason to stop here today…

We spent a fair bit of time reading the sign board at GZ and the nearby ones at the track intersection, quite interesting and tragic to read.
Cache was quickly found using the hint and I removed to container of KFC sauce that someone had left in the cache.
Thanks Now To Morrow
Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK

Finally found our first geocache thanks to my super smart boyfriend figuring it out for us
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Ballina and up the coast. This was one of the finds I made.
Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once at GZ. Some great views had here.
Thanks Now_To_Morrow for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

We arrived early enough to beat the crowds this morning, which is always good.
An interesting read and secure but familiar hide led us to the cache. Clever idea with the hint.
Thanks for the cache!

After a bit of time spent checking out the trails nearby (some showing on my map, some not) we found ourselves approaching the final of three cache's we were targeting, this one.
We were pleased to find a whole bunch of information boards detailing the areas history and spent some time reading them all. Once done we checked out the app to see where the nearby cache was. Well blow me down we were very close indeed, and it seemed our prior diligence in reading the info boards would aid in our search. But first I needed to interpret what I was looking for. A minute or so later, after waiting out a muggle, I had uncovered the stash and got my name into the logbook. Then it was onto the sand heading south again and back to the car on the other side of black head.
Excellent stuff now to morrow, we really enjoyed our walk with you as our guide, thanks for hiding this cache here andgiving us a great view and an understanding of the areas history. Bless.

Walking with NannaRuby and the geodog. Wonderful location, interesting local history & great hide. TFTC
I came here a few days ago but it was a bit too muggly to launch a serious search. I read the story of the three brothers and built on my knowledge of this area. I came back with toriakyogle in tow today to be rewarded with the stunning view again and a find. Log signed and cache returned safely. Thanks for placing this.
Out with NannaRuby, she was keen to revisit a cache she hadn't found earlier. The view, storyline & lack of muggles & the hint found us with cache in hand. Satisfying cache find. TFTC
An interesting location and is relatively easy to find once you have followed the hints that are given
A very nice location for a cache and quite easy to locate once you have read the Infomation board and followed the hints.
3rd brother searched lucky for us in finding the cache

Found with NiciDanielle. Great hiding spot and I love the story behind it. TFTC
Love this cache and was great to read the story and be able to look at the pieces of canoe on the beach. Found it with cachehunter who made the retrieve. Tftc FP awarded
Took a little while to figure out the clue and was also interrupted by a muggle, but eventually had CIH. Grabbed one TB, left the other. I enjoyed my time in Byron and surrounds. Now I head west. Tftc No Tomorrow
Nice place and good co-ords, and not too hard to find the cache. Might be tricky if muggles are around haha . Indeed this cache is nicely hidden and surely would have hundreds of people within inches of it who would never have known it was there. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC!
Another quick stop in nearby Alstonville on our way to Grafton. Mrs Snakepitters drew up the plan for caches today, so it must run smoothly 'Right'. Still very humid after the recent rains,l so quick finds are in order so we spend more time in the car in the A/C.
Parked nearby and walked to GZ just as a young girl arrived on her bike to take some selfies and look out onto the beach, well we did the same, didn't want to make it weird, whats wrong with two middle aged people taking selfies (everything). She left shortly after, I really don't know why. Now to the task at hand, located the hide, grabbed the container and nabbed the two TB's, Mrs Snakepitter returned to the car for the two TB's we were hold so we swapped. A great view of the beach.

Found on a visit from Grafton with Groovydoo…dropped off 2 trackables to continue their journey
On our way to Byron Bay for lunch and a look around today, such a busy place! Stopped into Ballina on the way to grab 2 unexpected FTF's.
After picking up a FTF on a nearby mystery I walked over to grab this one. Took me a little while to work out exactly where I needed to be, but got there eventually. Nice story about the 3 brothers and a lovely view.

New log sheets placed in cache. All the rubbish removed (broken sea shells and maccas monopoly tickets are not swag folks) so sadly it's just the log sheets in there and a tiny heart shaped rock someone left in it. All else in order. There's even a new sign.
Didn’t have any paper to add as the log book is pretty full. Found a small space to add our names
An unexpected trip to northern NSW allowed me time to grab a few caches along the way. This was one of those.
My last find while in the area. Found in the first place I looked

We are heading north to the sunshine coast to spend Christmas with our family up there and hoping to grab a few geocaches along the way.
Day 2 of our trip and we've reached our overnight destination of Ballina, a town we've not really explored previously. What better way to have a look around then to plot a few geocaches to find. What a lovely view of this stretch of coastline at GZ. Ballina seems to be a very pretty and peaceful town. A good hint was enough to point us in the right direction with the need to check the spoiler photo - nicely hidden. Thanks very much for bringing us here! We hope you've had a lovely geo-christmas!

It was both easy and hard at the same time but worth it it’s fun to get an opportunity to do geocaching first time btw
TFTC. I would never have come here if it wasn’t for geocaching. An interesting place. I took the travel bug and will take it with me and drop it off somewhere else. What a nice day for a walk.
Day 19 of the road trip to Townsville with LuckyL10n for the mega and today was day 6 of the drive back to Canberra.
After a night in Kyogle it was time to pick off a few more counties that have been missed on previous trips to the area. We travel through Lismore, Ballina, Coffs and then up to Gloucester and finally to Dungog for the night. Only a handful of cache for the day, but we did grab this counties.
Many thanks No Tomorrow for yet another cache on the trip....and something with a bit of history.

#14411 - 9:39:00 AM; Day nineteen, the penultimate day, of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. Spent last night in Kyogle and heading south today counting counties as we headed for Dungog for our last night on the road before getting home. We had caching stops in Lismore, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca and Glouster along the way. Parked the geomobile in the crowded parking area and made our way to GZ for a quick find. Log signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. TFTC No_Tomorrow
Very cool spot, was abit confused about the spear thing until I saw the photo.
Cache was still in place. However the sign is badly faded. If you need a hint to find this cache, read the description, then the hint, and find the first photo added to the gallery.
Have fun

PS, the QR code in the corner of the sign still works and will give you the full story.
Got a private message letting me know this one might be missing. I'll see if I can get a friend to check on it. I've just left town for a 10 week holiday so can't check it myself.
Unfortunately I think this one has been muggled. However, since the Geohusband and I are out of towners CO has allowed us to mark as found.

On our way to Yamba that turned out to be a short visit as we had to head home two days later but were able to collect a few caches on the way. After waiting for the shower to ease we made our way to GZ and after a short search something a bit different was spotted. Great spot to see the grey clouds roll in - but the information sign about the 3 Brothers certainly needs to be replaced. Thanls No_Tomorrow.

Our first full day in the area, we headed south, stopping at every surf beach it seemed, they were pretty busy for a Monday too.... 17 finds, including 6 GCA, and not a DNF, a great day with just a few scattered showers.
At first I thought - how can you see North/Middle/South Brother from here? Wrong region! The GPS counted down to zero, and there it was.... TFTC, all nice and dry of course....

We had a read of the information boards before heading out to gz and read about the 3 brothers. As we approached we noticed a couple of young ladies poking around. We assumed they were geocaching too but waited a minute to make sure. We then joined in the search with Lanz420 to find the cache. Miss J came up with the goods.
