I have had ongoing issues with people interfering with or taking the caches I place in this position. A geocaching administrator has advised that I am breaking a rule by keeping it disabled too long. To me geocaching is just a fun game and to receive this kind of warning reminds me that there are people who are taking the game extremely seriously. As I don't agree with this level of focus on a game, I am bowing out from this hide and archiving it.
Was overdue for a walk in the park so made sure i carried my telescopic magnet with me - one of my most used tott and makes retrieving most metal caches a breeze. I recommend adding something similar to your kit if you don’t have one already. cache is easier to retrieve for now. Left a pathtag. Two trackables visited.
Found it. My son swapped the token for another one. I hope that's okay. We are new to geocaching
Continual maintenance required so disabling until an alternative type of cache is organised.
Cache container was located however it was pushed in to hiding spot too far to retrieve.
I am on a last-minute road trip to Emerald. A quick stop here to turn this frown upside down.
A quick find for me today. But now I need to reach it.
I found a suitable tool nearby and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

No luck. A group of brownies walked past and said it used to be exactly in the place we were looking.
Can confirm that it had been muggled. As I’m not sure if lemonmeringue2 is here or on holidays I’ve popped a replacement in the original location so good to keep going.
Walked through from the big melon to get this cache. Thanks for placing this cache. A nice quick find
Found at 2:07 PM GAFF1
There was a council worker who just started to do some gardening, but after a few moments he was no longer interested in what we were doing, so the cache was found immediately and we were on our way.
A very nicely maintained park indeed!
Thanks lemonmeringue2.

Attended QOGM2022 in Charleville, now on our wayhome to Warwick, via Miles and Toowoomba. Calling in at Chinchilla.....
Bit of a stretch, but I got it, signed it, and returned it. Nice park, shame we did not have more time for a walk around it. The signage looked interesting.

A quick detour off the main road to grab this one.

On the road again, heading to Charleville for Qogm. Did your Scoot Away today. 12 September 2022 12:36 pm Tyfc lemonmeringue2 total caches now 5219 .
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
Today we left Warra and headed to Roma for a couple of nights but we were able to stop in Chinchilla for their famous Saturday Only doughnuts. We jumped on the bikes and toured around town including the AdLab. It was a busy place today but by its very nature noone is around for long so we were able to streeeetch our fingers in and retrieve the cache.
Thanks for contributing to the fun

We spotted this one quickly but needed a TOTT to retrieve it as it was just out of reach. It appears to have been found by children who have added their names to the log sheet. SL TFTC
Tassie travellers spending a bit of time cruising in Australia. And pausing in various geohotspots as we go. What a beautiful asset this park must be for Chinchilla. Thanks lemonmeringue2 for attracting us here !

Quick find. By the style of cache container, I’m not sure it was in the correct spot. But I returned it as found.
In Chinchilla for a night on our way back to Brisbane after Roma’s Easter in the Country. The town is super tidy and from the “sold” signs in the windows of all the real estate agencies I’ve passed in my walk, the resource industry is booming. TFTC and taking me on a lovely wander around town today. I’ve left a few unfound for my next visit.

We are visiting chinchilla for a couple of days, and decided to start our day with a walk through the botanic Gardens. We had parked at the opposite end and took a slow walk reading the signs and admiring the shapes and beautiful gardens. At the end of the park we sat in the shade on a nearby seat to sign the log.

This one seemed to take forever. Eventually we looked in a spot that we had already looked in and spotted the cache deeper in than we has anticipated.

Pprime and I escaped Brisbane for the long weekend for the delayed public holiday for the Ekka. We hit the road to Emerald and back home via Roma.
We had time to drive around Chinchilla and pick up a few caches. This one happened to be on the side of the toad that we were planning on using so it would not have been polite to drive past it.

TFTF. We are overnighting at Chinchilla weir. After setting up we went out for a couple of hours to find the caches in the area we had not previously found. A nice trip around . All caches found relatively quickly. We had not been j]here before. With a bit more time we would have loved to explore the gardens a bit more
Place of Lamentation
This is a 430,000 square foot public square at the heart of the Citadel in front of the great temple. It is a holy place where all Omnians can go to petition the Great God Om, through means of posting a note in his statue. Entire villages would save to send one person to the place of lamentation to petition for the whole community, the petitioner often staying days to ensure their prayers are heard.
