*In the area with woolwood9 heading to the MEGA Event.* ????We cached from Sydney to Canberra, then after the MEGA, up through Yass, Cowra and Bathurst to return to Sydney. We had a great 3 weeks and enjoyed finding many good caches. ????*We soon had the container found!*SL *tm/ww NZ* *Thank you for putting this Puzzle cache series out for us to visit!*Some of these caches were tough to park near with the really busy road and rough road edge.
Over in the area heading for Canberra to attend the Easter Mega with tmann421Tons of caches done while here and this was one of them.Enjoyed the touring around and all the containers foundLog signed tm/ww NZThanks for the placement and the effort put into maintaining these hides for us to find.??????
Found as I travelled from Adelaide, up to Sydney to deal with some personal business matters then back down to Canberra for the Mega event over Easter. It has been great to be able to get back out on the road again, travelling and camping on my own. The weather is good too!I have identified some caches of interest and am taking a rather circuitous route, hoping to find as many targets as possible in the relatively short time available. So many caches; so little time! This puzzle series was on my list and I made my way around them without too many problems. Most of the caches were found quickly, thanks to the good hints. I had one DNF. Most of the containers were in reasonable condition, but quite a few of the logsheets were close to or past their use-by dates. A bit of maintenance and a refresh would not go astray. Thanks DustyJasperJet for the puzzle and the cache.
Quick find with SJG66 who solved this series as we toured the central highlands. TFTC.
Sydney Trip August 2023. I headed to Sydney southern districts to finish my Counties of NSW. I thought I started early, but by the end of the day I was caching in the dark with only my phone. I took one stop on the way north and was in the caching zone by 11.30am. As usual Sydney was a difficult mixture of tough caches, tough parking, long roundabout trips between caches and plenty of DNFs, some by me and some long lists meaning caches needed to be discarded before trying. I took a detour towards Berima on the way home to pad out my numbers and my last few were in the dark, some letter boxes near the highway I have skipped on many trips now.
Wanting to get a few more caches, I targeted a few of this series and the one around the corner. These containers sure blend into their surroundings.
Thanks for the cache DustyJasperJet

We couldn’t find the cache as per hint so decided to look on ground in case it had fallen off. Found about 1.5m inside paddock. Geospark62 went back to car to get my hiking stick. Using stick he managed to retrieve the cache whilst avoiding electric fence. We signed log and reattached cache as per hint. Thanks for the puzzle.
There were very inquisitive cows who came along hoping for a feed but I had nothing to give them.
I am travelling north from Canberra to meet up with a group of geofriends for fun on this the Canberra Day holiday weekend. I loved working on these caches and all were found signed and replaced. Thanks for this highly interesting power trail DustyJasperJet.

Barb2e and I are on our way to Picton for some caching with friends.
On the way we also did these caches as a quick powertrail - hot on the heels if Smittengranny, who we are meeting tomorrow.
All caches were found. Some of the logs are quite fragile.
TFTC and the interesting topic.

Backlogging from a few weeks ago. Went caching with MrPython had lots of fun finding these, but I am definitely not built for the bush areas. Super fun adventure and fun exploring a new town TFTC!
*This is going to be a copy and paste log because I found 30+ Caches on this trail and I'm not writing 30 logs *
OCW CreepyGhoul for the day! (16/02/23) We have a long line of caches planned out to try and push me towards the 800 find mark!
I'm really glad we completed this trail! It took 30,000 steps, walking along tight highways and a few sunblock and water breaks! Doing it on a 30+ degree day with few clouds was not my smartest move but I'm glad I finally got it done! Having 90% of the caches being the same made them all a very quick find once I pushed through waste high grass!
Also a few of the caches had very water damaged logs so they were unable to be signed and should probably get some maintenance performed on them! Tftc!!

Traveling around NSW we visited Moss Vale to enjoy some Mysteries and Wherigo’s. The weather was great and the scenery was great making for a fun afternoon caching in a new location for us Victorian’s.

Keeping the streak alive... Day 51.
Had this series solved a long time ago but are only collecting sporadically as live closish by. Trying to do a cache a day at the moment which is not that easy in the highlands as most require a bushwalk or something to get to. When we are running short of time these ones are my go too's as they are nice park n grabs.
Came out to Berrima this afternoon as our original plan of going to Goulburn for the CITO event fell through due to a sick child. Needed a quick find and this one delivered. We approached GZ and before I could explain the clue to one kid the other had the cache in hand. Log signed and returned.

A lovely series highlighting some indigenous words, I think there should be more of these!

Our first full day in the area and what a lovely winter day it turned out to be. Sunny and little wind, a great day for caching and sightseeing.
We decided to head off to Berrima to do some sightseeing and also to tackle a few series, the WACCO Wherigos, Words of Indigenous Australia, and Remembrance. We had pre solved the Indigenous language series during COVI lockdown.
A good run was had although we did have a few DNFs and managed to complete some multis as well. A good day!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache DustyJasperJet.

Solved these last night knowing we would be here today, quick find, stamped log and returned. Thanks to DustyJasperJet.
#14603 - 10:59:00 AM; Collected this cache on the way to Sydney with Sol de lune and the geostudent to watch the mighty Carlton Blues take on GWS Giants. The caching today was much like the football result, successful and well worth the effort. Needing a few caches to top up the daily tally, a detour through Berrima was in order. Solved this series a while back and after passing through the roadworks set out to grab the first couple. TFTC DustyJasperJet
A day run up to Sydney with LuckyL10n to go to the footy, stopping for a couple of caches along the way. Pulled off the highway so we could grab a couple in this series. No issues with the ones we did find and I look forward to coming back and grabbing the rest one day.
Thanks for these samples in the series DustyJasperJet....

Find Number 2455 found at 15:56. Today we found 41 caches. We had 2 DNFs.
While the Gill half attended the Lions Convention in Mittagong, the Tony half met up with GeoSon NationalSteel to tackle the Badge Gen Challenges. I had qualified for all but 3. National Steel had qualified for all of them.
After finishing the challenges I decided to attempt this series, which I had solved some time ago.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the container as found

A six day road trip to the mega event in Wangaratta. The first day was a drive from Sydney to the first stop in Goulburn where I would meet up with Brewmaker the next day. Travelling along the Hume highway I stopped over at Berrima and at a few locations along the Hume highway where I could find some easy 'park and grabs'.
Time for a little loop on indiginous words. Easy puzzle and easy finds. All caches were found, but some logsheets are in need of maintenance as moisture still managed to creep into the container and make the sheet unwritable.
This was 18 of 129 finds. TFTC!

Been a while since I’ve cached the highlands (thanks lockdowns!), but today Berrima provided enough options to ensure a particular find over the coming weekend would be my next milestone target. This long solved series would do the trick and also tick off this month’s Peak Challenge in one go. All good co-ords and clues making for a successful run along the trail.
A quick find with Charlicorn collecting points for the Science of Discovery souvenirs which expire this weekend. Containers wet but log ok. TFTC!
Out for the lunch time on this coool sunny windy day picking up this puzzle trail. Lovely grassy place to be cruising along not getting in anyone's way. Neat hide.
Thanks Dustyjasperjet for the hide.

I've been hitting the Southern Highlands pretty hard for caches, and today - when I'again after calendar finds - is no exception. I'm also hoping to greatly increase my April finds - the month I have the least.
So far so good.
Today I started with a short power trail near Berrima, and then worked my way north. Made 12 physical finds and 5 ALs late in the day - followed by their bonus. I'd have liked to find more today, but I started my drive south somewhat late. But all up happy with what I grabbed.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Started here, parking close - and said hello to the two horses near GZ.
Nice quick find.
Completed signing duties and replaced, then off to the final section of the trail, starting with a previous DNF.

In Berrima from Sydney for some Easter Saturday caching. We started our day with breakfast at the Magpie Cafe in town. Last night we solved the Aboriginal Word puzzles. So today they are our target. We parked at the east end and walked along the road collecting even ones on the way out and odd ones on the way back.

We started at the cache with the longest name and the funniest , most detailed description of a water hole ever. We referred to the area along theses first few caches as ‘Antland’. Not only were there a couple of massive ant nests there were lots of smaller ones and what looked like a cachers trail was actually an ant highway! First find for the day. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

23,594. Found during a familiar run up to the Southern Highlands today.
Wanting a few cache finds today for a calendar challenge, I decided to head up the Hume to a familiar area for a few more of this interesting series. This is about my 5th or 6th trip this way lately, and I always enjoy the drive. With the puzzle pre-solved it was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks DustyJasperJet !!

I was taking a break from driving and decided to go for this cache. I'd solved the puzzle, along with the rest of the series, some time ago. I parked and headed off for a short walk. Hide was easily spotted approaching GZ. The outer container was full of water, but the log was dry. I signed the log and shook as much water out of the other container before replacing all and heading back to the car. TFTC.

With the heat setting in for the "long weekend" we elected to go caching on the Southern Highlands to escape some of the heat, unfortunately the respite was only a few degrees cooler than Sydney, but we cached on regardless.
Today's main aim was the Wacky Crop Circle, and any other caches we deemed worthy of hunting. All caches we found today were in good condition, dry, and easily found. All caches were signed and replaced as found.
Field Notes: A fairly easy find given the earlier DNF's.

Thanks,

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar were keen to fit in one more caching trip before the curtain came down on 2020. With our personal calendar's filling fast, the best we could do was a midweek juggernaut for 24 hours.
The influx of caches around Yass was our target, so with some careful route planning we tackled a number of trails in the area.
With a bit of time to kill before we met Hoojar, we ducked into Berrima to start this little series.
Thanks to all the CO's for your caches. We had a great time bantering one another, trialling our new TOTT, staying one step ahead of the weather and one eye on what lurked in the grass. Thanks.

Now that word would have to be very seldom used as how many "waterholes with cane grass, shaped like a man’s leg, with trees growing round about" are there?
A bit of a contrast from the previous cache where it was waist high and seeds embedded themselves all over our arms and necks
Thanks DustyJasperJet.

Today is the 9th November 2020 and I managed to find 75 Caches for the day with my friend Loci612. It was an amazing day of caching. We had no DNFs for the day and we also got a grand total of 37 FTFs. We spent a total of almost 14 hours caching and I was dog tied at the end of it all. One of the highlights for the day were seeing a Lyrebird and almost hitting a kangaroo head on at 90kmph (just Missed Him). In total I drove 770kms but I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 75 finds including the 37 FTFs it is hard to write a different one for each cache.
ALL CACHES WERE SIGNED DSD. ALL CACHES WERE FOUND IN GOOD ORDER UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE. THANKS FOR THE CACHE AND THE ADVENTURE.
I have included my one of a kind Geocache Poem with this log for future readers to enjoy.
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
***** I am currently writing more detailed logs than usual. This is because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author" Badge. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to write an average of one hundred words or more in each Found It log. As of 9th November 2020 my average was 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****
Myself and DSD started our morning with a drive to Moss Vale, predominately to pick up the new Wherigo series, and grab this puzzle series on the way past. The day didn't go as we expected with a detour to the coast and a huge loop back to Canberra, but we were happy to get the main goal completed here before we headed off!
This series was extremely straightforward, managed to solve all the puzzles in a jiffy and all the hides were located without major issues. A couple were tough to spot but with 2 sets of eyes and some persistence they were found. Two caches were missing their bottom half and only had the bison lid remaining, but due to the fact that we found the lid and evidence of the hide we will log with photo proof in lieu of a signature. I attempted to contact the CO about these caches before leaving Canberra, but without response, and they have been disabled for almost a month now.
Thanks DustyJasperJet for the series

Came up to the highlands today to tackle this and another nearby series- generally these were fairly straightforward finds and managed to do most relatively quickly. TFTC!
Staying in the area for a short time with ilook4geo and went looking for this series of caches. Was a bit disappointed that not all were available. Some took a bit more looking than others but we had a good run with them. All logs had two more names added to them and were then replaced as found. Thanks go to DustyJasperJet for placing this series of caches with nice easy puzzles to solve.
Did this series today while out with goingplces2. Caches were found, logs were signed and all then replaced. Job done! TFTC.
On a caching trip around the Southern Highlands with phlphotos, TARDIS 0061 and Sir_Phil, collecting a range of multi, traditional, mystery, and wherigo caches. Appreciate all the effort that the COs go to in placing and maintaining the caches found today. With the cache in hand, we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the log and cache container are in good condition. Thanks for the cache DustyJasperJet.

Trip down to Berrima, New Berrima and Moss Vale with teamMerlin, TARDIS 0061 and Sir_Phil to get some of these new caches that had solved but hadn't collected also the Wherigo caches in order to get closer to qualify for a challenge cache.
The puzzle was quickly solved
Thanks to all the COs for the caches most of the micros were signed phlTMSPTARD or similar and most of the small and bigger were signed with the full names depending on who got to the cache first. Out of the 40 finds there was one DNF/NM and one NM

Streak Day #2656 - Out with Dave8153 for a late night/morning caching adventure, quick find. TFTC
This location was a little bare of geocaches and as far as I am aware there there hasn't been any placed here in at least five years. It is nice to have a pleasant open space to find some caches in this neck of the woods.
Stop past this afternoon to fill in two gaps in the series. Thanks for the caches.
The coordinates have changed slightly since I first found GZ. Luckily it was a quick fix in the field.

Joint {*FTF*} with HappyUke & Finalf29. We expanded our search and checked spots that matched the hint until we made the find. TFTC
