Well our geohound thought this was just the best cache ever! And insisted we give it a favourite, he even wants us to come back tomorrow and do it again. btw the two actual geocachers in the team thought the cache was pretty damn good too and well deserved fav. Tftc
Home time, it has been a long few days on what ended up being a rather pointless trip. Trying to ease the frustration of wasted money & time, I did a maintenance run & thought I had better log one physical cache for the trip. The favourite points brought this one up on my radar & then mention of the playground sealed the deal. The Rugrats played while I cached- the perfect scenario. A well constructed container didnt deceiver me but it did earn a FP from me. TFTC!
Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days.As the hint says too easy.TFTC

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 7 - Jamestown to Whyalla via Caltowie , Melrose, Wilmington and Pt Augusta. I spent the morning doing a caching lap of Jamestown, including a previous DNF. Then I was on the road. I managed to stop regularly and in each of the small towns I passed though to do some of the caches along the way. As I went further west it began to warm up. I was very cold In Jamestown last night. I did some Labs in Melrose and in Whyalla before getting set up for the night and going on a short tour around town. This is an interesting structure, and the container does not even look out of place. I am sure many users do not even think about it.Thanks for the cache DennisC5246489.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2010 Geometry A#167**Albida**
Looked at the other thing that looked out of place first then this one was more obvious. Clever hide. TFTC
Was worried about trying to not look dodgy in a kids playground when I had no kid. Luckily there were no small people today. This is a favourite point from me. Great cammo. TFTC
Sir_spectre had to make a delivery to Mintaro so we decided to make it a two day caching adventure. So after dropping off the special delivery we made our way towards Jamestown. Thanks
Well at this late hour gz was free of muggles. QUick find at gz. I do like a cache that is hidden in plain site and good cammo at that. fav point. Found with Mogni. This was a very, very last minute trip.I found out that i had to be in the " clare region " the next day by lunch the next day on muggle business. After that business was over i headed up to jamestown to get a 2001 cache via any adventure labs or caches i haven't found before staying in a B& B in Penworthm. Now it was time to start heading home via dirt roads to Burra for the new Adventure lab and then down every dirt road/track with caches on it and the odd track that needed the hubs locked on the ute. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Grateful for a hint in one of the logs. Would not have ventured there.
Why not get a pasty for lunch in Peterborough then head found to cache for today in Jamestown. Really well lived town. Cache all good.

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. Don’t like playground hides - fortunately no kids there so quick find.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. We dont usually do playground hides. But the place was deserted. Thanks DennisC52.
Day 4 of my short Geocaching weekend. Today was my last day away spent an extremely cold night in Yongala before making my way home in the late afternoon..
Spotted it straight away but disregarded it as didn't think it would be that. Looked every where else twice before checking my original first thing I thought it could be and it was . Great hide enjoyed the Park and Play caches.

Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Stopping in Jamestown to catch up with Sylken. Luckily we were also able to catch up with Chrispy89 and Honeysucker. [^] Today we headed out between loads of washing to convert as many local caches as possible.

While enjoying a few days in Jamestown we are grabbing a few caches as we tour around.
A nice easy find in a quiet little park even though it is currently school holidays.
Many thanks for the hide DennisC52….another favourite point on it’s way

While towing the caravan we stopped along the highway where it is safe to pull over.
Once we had dropped our caravan at the camping ground we did a tour of town following the geocache trail. This was a good way to visit town for our 1st time.
This was a cache that really blended with it's surrounds, definately worthy of a FP
Thanks for placing the cache.

Found during a caching trip to SA's mid north staying at Orroroo for two nights and Jamestown for one night. Spent the morning caching around Jamestown before heading for home. Very cleverly constructed hide that a mere muggle would overlook. Thanks for the cache DennisC52!
Nice quiet, well maintained little park. Once my gps settled down, it was a relatively easy find. Great camo. Tftc
The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
DAY 5: Exploring some mid north towns.
Despite the good camo this was a quick find. Well what else could it be!
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks DennisC52 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Awesome - a great geocache )))
It's great to be able to travel and see so many quaint little country towns.
As we meander down towards GeoVenture 2020 (in 2021), Millicent, we stopped to put a smiley here.
It's wonderful to explore SA through the eyes of a Geocacher,
especially when it takes us to such interesting places.
We found your cache and with signing duties done and dusted,
we replace the cache as found.
Thanks for sharing this interesting location.

After a morning with froghoppin and kellygang doing what cachers do... had to go find some more
Mr Frog kept me company while I cleaned up Jamestown - again !!!
Much appreciation to DennisC52 for hiding this cache on our SA geo map game board
A very neat... whatever it was fav for not a mint tin!

Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

We had planned to visit Peterborough for the weekend to attend an event and do some caching. and as we had to deliver a heap of Crystal Decanters that we had engraved for the Clare wine show, to them, we figured we are halfway there..might as well carry on, so we organised a day off and are having a "long Weekend' up North! Sprung a newbie cacher here that had already just retrieved the cache, Awesome camo! and a fav from us. TFTC

Rex and I left home on Friday[^], planning a quick trip to and from Saddleworth to try to get a FTF and some other caches[^]
I did not expect to end up having a lovely tea at Clare in the 'middle pub' with Mr and Mrs Kelly Gang and Mr and Mrs Froghoppin [^]
I did not expect to end up sleeping in the Corolla at Jamestown on Friday night in pouring rain
I did not expect to end up having a lovely breakfast at Jamestown in the [ek-wi-tee] Cafe on Saturday morning with chrispy89 either[^]
I did not expect to end up seeing chrispy89 again on Saturday as his ambulance was picking up a RFDS patient when I stopped at the airport for a cache[^]
Finally I did not expect to end up returning home Saturday night[|)][xx(][|)][xx(] after finding 2 FTFs, having 1 DNF which later was remedied with CO approval[:X] and having found a total of 27 caches over the 2 days
Typical DennisC52 hide Very clever[^][^] Not quite as good as Snake Gully Bridge though
I wished I'd had my phone here as Rex had been sniffing the digger toy[?] and so I came up and moved about 3 scoops of sand to show him how it worked! [^]Then he started rapidly digging the sand himself with his paws[^] So cute![:X]

After working the morning shift we decided we would do a maintence run to Peterborough and visit some newer caches published since our last visit to the area. This was the first today, have worked and stayed in town many anight over the years and was not aware of this park, damp day today had the area muggle free and a quick search had the unique find in our hands

*SevTF* Seventh to Find joint with gridge98 at 15:21 hr.
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a quick overnight trip to Port Pirie. The plan was to geocache around the town, and then head across through to Jamestown via Gladstone and Caltowie in order to find a unique hidden month oldie cache nearby. We then joined the geocaching community at the Gawler dinner event.
Today, we got up early and spent the first half of the day travelling around Port Pirie. A few highlights were the views of the lead smelters, the historic main street, and wetlands. Once a bakery lunch was had, we headed east, and found a few geocaches in Gladstone, Caltowie, and Jamestown. We then left some time to visit Bundaleer Forest Reserve for the 05/2001 hidden cache, as that was my last remaining available South Australian Jasmer grid caches. We then drove the few hours south to the international geocaching dinner Gawler event, before heading home.
This playground was quiet today, so we could walk in and search by ourselves. A nice and creative hide, with a Favourite Point from me. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks DennisC52 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A nice silver on the podium for H423L and myself.
Lovely hide and a very clean loo nearby. It had everything.
This cache was found as part of an EPIC TRIP! to cross the Simpson Desert in July 2020. We crossed the desert without incident thanks to the smooth expert driving of H423L. There were many rocks, water holes, railway sidings and big dunes. Of course there was this cache too. The nights were clear and the stars were bright.

Seen this yesterday but work got in the way, So On a bitterly cold -5° morning I got called in to do an extra shift in peterborough, but had to venture to jamestown to get the required equipment for the day.
The ice was still nice and thick and with frozen fingers I managed to make a easy find, with a blank log book.
