Sorry, I can’t repair or replace it because I have moved. It is time to go. Thanks for finding my cache in the past. Lava
It's been a while since I've been out caching but as I was in the area thought I would check it out. Glad it was an easy one and glad to see so many solar panels close by. TFTC
My first cache ever! At first I thought this hobby was stupid but when I found it I totally understand! Cheers!
Found during a caching trip in the southern suburbs after attending the 'South West Breakfast 100' event. Great view of the coastline from up here! This was the last of nine Lava12 caches, out of 20 in total for the day. Thanks for the cache Lava12!
Found with mogni. quick find. Only saw boating coming in today, not launching.
Found while out and about with sir_spectre. He is attempting to get at least 10 finds on every calendar day.
Thanks
Thanks
Out about down south for a Wednesday wander.
The group consisted of SA Sewer Rats, bluewrentit and Astro.
After searching the wrong shrubs we finally found the prize.
it was a lovely day to be caching.
We had a lot of laughs. TFTC

Indeed a great view. Not too many boats launching today!
A whip around on a sunny day with bluewrentit and SA Sewer Rats saw us ticking off some of the caches in the lovely southern suburbs . The clever hides had us searching but there was no match for 6 eyes!
Thanks to Lava12 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Out for a few more caches and adventure labs today around the southern suburbs.
Easy find here today.
Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.
Thanks Lava12 for this cache.

Out and about cleaning up the map on our way to elsewhere and the dog needed a walk to use some energy up so we walked along the track and came back to the car via this cache. there has been some new house builds since we have been up this way too.
How to Launch a Boat
Follow our guide, and you will have your boat on and off the trailer with a minimum of stress.
1. Organise your Gear
Don’t be the inconsiderate boatie that is sorting out the fishing gear and fuel when you are on the boat ramp holding up other boat users. Before you get near the boat ramp, make sure you have everything in order. In the carpark, transfer items from the car to your boat and vice versa. Check the fuel, safety equipment, and mooring lines. Switch on the battery and pump the fuel bulb. Make sure there is room to get into the boat safely.
It’s the ‘unspoken rule’ around the world that you don’t hold up the boat ramp doing tasks that can be done away from the ramp. If you break the rule, it won’t be long before another skipper reads you the riot act. Everyone wants to get out on the water as quickly as possible.
2. Cabling
Ensure the trailer is still correctly secured to the car. Unplug the tail-lights otherwise they could short-circuit when they hit the water. When you have everything in order, move towards the boat ramp or queue. Make sure the trailer winch hook is attached to the bow eye. Undo the tie-down straps. Check the bungs are in and secure. Get the dock lines ready, and if you have fenders put them in place too. If your boat has an outboard motor, trim it up to avoid it dragging.
3. Check the Boat Ramp
If you are using your local boat ramp and the carpark is full of empty trailers, you can safely assume that there are no problems with the ramp. But if you are on holiday at an unfamiliar ramp that doesn’t look like anyone has used it today, it’s best to check it out before you back the trailer down. If you are a novice, it can be helpful to watch other boats being launched to get an idea of the depth and water flow on the ramp.
4. Safety
Make sure your deckhand or passenger is standing in a position where you can both see each other. They need to be able to see the back of the boat to warn you if you are going to collide with another boat, car or the dock.
If there are more than two of you, make sure your passengers know where you want them to sit or stand while you are launching the boat. This is particularly important if you have children in your group. Make another adult responsible for looking after them well away from the boat ramp. Kids are hard to see and unpredictable in all the excitement of launching the boat. It’s not just your boat and trailer that presents a risk to them. Other ramp users won’t be looking out for kids or pets.
5. Reverse the Boat In
Find the right low gear on your car and start reversing down the ramp. Some skippers prefer to use neutral so they can quickly put it in gear and drive forward if something goes wrong while reversing. Use all your car’s mirrors and apply the brakes gently. Use small steering adjustments as you back the trailer down.
6. Know when to Stop Reversing
If you reverse too far down the boat ramp, you are at risk of getting bogged or losing your vehicle into the drink. Every vehicle and boat combination is different so how far you back in depends on the type of trailer, your boat and vehicle.
7. Final Launch
Put on the vehicle’s handbrake and check it’s holding before putting it into park. Walk down to the boat to give it a final push off the trailer. Ask your deckhand to throw you the dock line so you can secure the boat to the jetty. Get back in your vehicle and get ready to drive off the ramp to the carpark. Just because you don’t have the weight of the boat behind you doesn’t mean you won’t have any problems. Boat ramps are slippery with algae, so your wheels may spin.
Thanks for the cache Lava, nicely attached.

Christmas Day! Public holiday is always a great opportunity to go out and find some caches.
Today, I and J plus the little one visited O'Sullivan Beach, Christies Beach and surroundings. Tried 6 caches, DNF the first one, and found the rest 5. Good match of traditional cache, puzzle cache, and letterbox hybrid cache.
This is the third find for today. Quick stop to make a quick find.
Signed the log, and placed the cache back.
Took a photo near GZ, for the view.
Thanks for the cache and the view, Lava12.

First for the day and it's always good to start with a find .
This one was missing the last time we came by, but has now been replaced elsewhere .
A quick find today [^]. TNLNSL.
It was cold and windy when we visited, so very little action at the boat ramp .
Thanks Lava12.

DNF the other night here and saw it had been replaced, parked up and wandered over, wasn’t where I was expecting it to be at all but managed to find the nice and new cache
Today I headed to the range for a bike race around the area, on the way home I stopped to do a few caches but due to the high temp I called it a day early. Total of 19 finds for the day.

This evening, gridge98 and I planned to visit *Onkaparinga River National Park*, and explore another section on the southern side. We then headed to *Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park* just as the lightning show started, with various extreme warnings feeding through our phone's notifications. We managed to complete that walk just as the heavy rain started to feel, and then proceeded back north towards home, stopping for dinner and a few miscellaneous geocaches.
We had a pretty decent search here, and we were surprised that with such limited hiding places, that we couldn't find it. We then made a PAF to a recent finder to confirm where it should have been, but alas, nothing around that area. We suspect the geocache is likely missing, so we will watch and see. Thanks anyway Lava12 for the cache placement.

We spent almost 2 hours wandering O'Sullivans Beach as he played chasey and had fun with other dogs[^] and swimming after his ball[^]
On our way home I decided to find this newer cache[^] as my other previous closest unfound cache seems to have disappeared with the work happening on the walkways
Easy find and a gorgeous sunset
Rex just had to show off too and put himself up high for a better view (attached pic)

After getting my altitude right, got to GZ to find a real local sitting almost on top of the cache admiring the pleasant view. Had a nice chat and found out that he knew about the container as had noticed it and seen someone else finding it. Gave him the full story but suspect he will remain a muggle.
