#23987. We appreciated the detailed hint as there were lots of potential hiding places. I cleared some large fallen fronds away, but still couldn't spot the cache. After a bit more looking I looked behind a frond, and spotted the nicely tucked away cache. TFTC.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of our Matariki 2024 West Coast trip. Today we are driving up the coast to Punakaiki then onto Charleston on a beautiful sunny day. This cache was found on our way back to Greymouth.Oops, I think I am logging this out of order, this was the first multi found, though the second looked for. GZ looked a bit daunting, but after doing a bit of gardening by removing some obstructing nikau palm leaves, SW tracked down the cache. Phew. We were starting to the the curse of the Multi stack had struck again. Interestingly, my Oregon had no trouble with this stack. I think it was because the shortened cache name that displays were all different, whereas in the Kaniere stack, the shortened names were identical. TFTC.

The information boards I photographed on my intial visit of the trail. During a short break of that day adventures we relaxed back in our cottage within the hydrangeas. Carefully I extracted all the details for the parameters of the final coordinates. All three multis were on my list when I returned for the 2nd turn in the valley. Again I could find all caches although the last one gave me a hard time. Somehow I overlooked it several although the hide is of the same quality as all the rest. Maybe the abundant green played tricks on me.Thx to gracie7 + Mum for giving me a lot of fun during my stay in Punakaiki.

Today's road trip planned to go North of Runanga up to the Pororari River leaving Rapahoe for another day.I gathered all in info and calculated the final coords and off I went. Only to realise a lot later that there were another two multis with the same published coords beneath the icon on my phone. DANG1 These will have to be done another day.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.

Last of the track cache for us to be found (plus the entrance). Easy find at GZ, hint always helpful, both container and logbook were in good condition, we didn't notice on the way in all the downhills, but our legs told us about a few uphill on the way back. Track is in very good condition.

Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. We werent sure if we would be able to fit this walk in today as the forcast was looking grim but we made it here in plenty of time and decided to risk it. It took us 1hr walk from carpark to the 10th hide and 30mins return. The second of the multi's. The last time we were here we noticed the chew marks on the container so we gave it a new one today. (Dont worry we used it elsewhere) Aswell as an inner one to combat dampness. All good here. Happy Caching Smile

Thanks for placing and actively maintaining these!

Were a bit lazy on the information board. But looked for possible hides on the way back to the car and landed a lucky punch here.
Thank you for all those caches along the Pororari River

A straight forward Multi. Didn’t take us long to do the puzzle and find the final cache which was hidden in a cool place not far from the start point.

We were on the track today to check on a possible MIA cache and decided to add a few more before the rain started. So, we checked on this one on the way passed of course. This cache is nice and dry thanks to the elevated height and the bit of cover. All good here. Happy Caching Smile

Appreciated the good clue, and after the previous one, I looked at this one and probably shouldn't have. Nice feature. TFTC.

#11,308. I am down in Punakaiki on a work trip. The weather this morning has been too wet to go outside so spent much of the day on the computer. But finally it cleared up later in the day. This trail is very close to where we are staying so we decided to go for a walk and do the multis along the path plus a couple of trads. We stopped to collect the information at the signboards and worked out the coordinates. Then headed off to GZ. The hint for this one was very descriptive and made it a quick and easy find. We signed the logbook and returned the container where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..

Spending the next wee while based in punakaiki as I landed a bit of work..
After a morning's work it was time to stretch the legs..got a wee bit confused with the location of these bit got it eventually tftc

Nice hide. There's evidence of rats or something with teeth having a go at the lid!

Coming towards the end of my three-day, 55km tramp along the Pararoa Track and have now reached part of the 'original' Punakaiki end, I guess.

I was pleased to have done my homework for this multi a couple of days ago.

A handy hint made for a quick find, which my tired legs and head appreciated.

Thanks

Wow having a good day. Trying our luck at a multi

A nice quick find thanks. Took some photos and worked out the coordinates back in the warmth of our accommodation!

Ms_KR and I are on the west coast, to complete the PWGT GeoTour this weekend, with only 0 to go. Yahoo!! Another glorious day today, fine weather for most of the caching time but a little rain too. TIme to head home now.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Nice wee multi. I got the information a few months ago and today passed through today for the circuit. Nice quick find. Thanks for the fun.

I thought I did this walk when we first started caching. I found a moneydork cache and Liz found a letterbox in exactly the same spot. So I wax trying to see if I could refund that location. I didn’t but I did spot something else out if place so got a find I wasn’t expecting.

nice stroll up here. - Thanks Bitsprayer

Had just finished hiking the Paparoa Track from Smoke-Ho carpark through to Punakaiki, so spent this afternoon doing more walking and looking for caches around Punakaiki. Collected the information to solve this trio of multis at the end of the hike, then went for a short walk later to look for the caches. Took a photo of this feature earlier, so nice to come back and find a cache here! TFTC!

I still have the picture we took when we made this multi so rechecked the numbers but still came up with all the same answers.

Big GrinFTFBig Grin with Hazedarus.
We had to return to the Coast today and with the new caches published we decided to travel via the Coast Road and grab them on the way. Altogether we managed 13xFTF including the new Adventure Lab at Hokitika and despite being rather wet by the time we finished we were more than happy with our longer than usual trip.
We had walked part of this track 2 weeks ago to find the other caches and I said then I would be happy to come back again, it's a lovely walk and highly recommended.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

Big GrinFTFBig Grin With Holymu. We were away when a whole series of new caches was being published. Trads, multis and puzzles. With the return to base just days away we went to work. A detour along the Coastal Highway is never any hardship and the potential bonus of a bag full of FTFs got us literally singing in the rain Big Grin The Pororari River Valley is one of my favourite walks and it was great to have another excuse to stop here and stretch our legs. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
