Today out and about on 273 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X, Garmin Montana 700 and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Had a day picking up caches on the way to an overnight stay with my youngest niece & her partner in Nuriootpa. All caches were found in good condition unless mention in log. TFTCGreat view from this spot.
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. FGH pound with out problems. Thank you 4WHEELAUSSIE, for placing SLIPPERY SLOPE for the geocaching community.# # #14876 # #
Staying at Kapunda cp. Out looking for caches with muggle husband. Some took a while to locate others quick. Thanks COs for putting them out & given us a good tour of the town & surrounds. Tftc
Last day camped at the sports grounds at Greenock. Headed to Kapunda for the ALs & a few other caches. Now that we have completed the bunch of grapes it's time to visit another area of the Barrossa.Today we did such a varied types of caches, in many interesting locations. Thanks 4WHEELAUSSIE for hiding this cache.
I had noticed this cache before, but I was visiting during rain and this looked/sounded like a muddy mess. On the contrary; approach from the west and its both clean and easy. I resisted the temptation to continue west down the hill; my poor old Eos might not have been up to it. Great views to be had whilst signing the log, and no complaints about reception here. Thanks once again 4WHEELAUSSIE.
omg good place to bring the family even if you find it within 2 seconds of being there, also so relevant because it's only a 30 second walk from my house. my 1st ever geocache, the experience was so great. I'm definitely going to keep going!
Tftc!! Good thing our AWD sedan loves a challenging road climb. Even spotted some red and blues on our travels
Out with iluvtrekking on a beautiful winters day- quite the opposite of yesterday. Love these rural hides - our preferred caching. Harder to find with all the clover. Thanks for the hide
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
A beautiful day to be out and about today in the countryside. TFTC

Thanks for the cache 4WheelAussie. I just love what constitutes a D3 here, we wouldnt get away with that in the city. And of course, we dont have roads which turn into mud pits in winter either, so lucky for me I am here in the hot of summer. Great views from up here, no wonder there is a comms tower. Quickly found and signed. Off east while the sun sinks in the west.
Full time nomads since 2014. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Spending a few days in Kapunda before heading to Yorke Peninsula.
Grabbed a few caches before joining Snappy Tom Cats for lunch.

Time for another Friday Frolic for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. We gathered at the Rat Nest and myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out for a day of caching in and around Kapunda. Except for one cache that is currently off line we managed to find all we looked for. As usual there were a few laughs, a picnic lunch and these are the caches we found [B)]
We came from the top where I made a quick find. Then it was down the slope we went which was not at all slippery. To be fair, the road was dry!
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks 4WHEELAUSSIE for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

With a packed lunch we set off for some of the out of the way mid north caches, into the afternoon now and we were enjoying the mild conditions and dusty back roads and soon arrived at the top of the hill, a easy find for us today and with dry conditions it was a easy motor down the hill.

Out for a day around Kapunda with Freddo and Featherwaite. We got hot from the sun, soaked from the rain and every type of weather in between.
Cache was spotted from the car. Road all dry today.

Found during a day out caching in the Kapunda and wider area with Freddo and Team Waldron. We signed our names in full or abbreviated to F.F.TW in caches that none of us had previously found, and in full when one or the other (various combinations) had already claimed on a prior visit. A total of around 40 finds for each of us today, plus 5 for the local Lab cache to clear up a nice area on the map. Thanks for the cache 4WHEELAUSSIE!
A short detour off the road out to this one. Cache found and is all good
This morning I headed north towards Kapunda/Nuriootpa to clean up the caches I had left in the area. A nice morning out dodgy the dry weather road only and the flys. Total of 47 finds for the day.

JJ52 and I had planned a day out on Boxing Day and we were to be accompanied by erine14
Sadly erine14 was unwell[xx(][xx(] and so she missed a full on day of caching - which erine14 is possibly grateful for
JJ52 suggested there were a few tracks that I shouldn't attempt but hey, we got through them all with the Corolla still in one piece[^]
Left my place just after 9am on the 26th and we arrived back at my place about 1.30am on the 27th[|)][^][|)]
What was to have been a trip to Kapunda, Burra and then Port Wakefield[^] ended up at Terowie[?] as there was a FTF waiting up there[^]
We had 1 DNF at the very 1st cache stop of the day and it could have been a FTF too but I did find 21 caches for the rest of the day, plus 10 adv lab WPs
Gave myself a case of heatstroke in Burra[xx(][xx(], after arriving too late to get the key to drive the adv lab there and hence having to walk at least 3.5km in 33 or more degree heat[xx(][xx(][|)][xx(] Luckily the old berocca tablet[^], litres of water and then a Golden North Giant Twin for me and a dandy cup for Rex had us feeling much better[^]
My thanks to JJ52 for doing the driving for a while so that I could cool down, rehydrate and resume thinking clearly[:X][^][^]
We found caches recommended for 4WDs but hey, it was dry today Luckily I'm pretty good at knowing where my wheels are[^] so we missed the big holes left by 4WDs
All in all a brilliant day[^] with 536km travelled
I'd looked at the other entrance to this cache previously and figured the Corolla would make it as long as it wasn't wet![^]
Sadly I came in from the opposite end today[?] so didn't get to test my theory
Found the cache and then took the non chicken track down[^] and when JJ52 asked why I chose that track and not the other track I replied that 'chicken tracks are usually easier'
Aah that slippery slope to fun!

I mentioned to locus cache at a recent event that I would like to have a trip to the mid north to complete 2 Adventure Labs up that way and we decided that today was going to be the day. [^] I also need 3 finds and 1 puzzle find for the day and that was accomplished very easily.
So we headed off with plans to head to Kapunda, then Burra and finishing at Pt Wakefield to get all the AL's. Now everyone knows that when you make plans with locus cache those plans very often change and you can end up somewhere that you had no idea you even wanted to go to. And I made the mistake of saying I needed one cache find for tomorrow but had planned on a quiet day home and didn't know where I would get a cache close to home...comment was made (a little tongue in cheek) that we could solve that by finding a cache after midnight then I wouldn't have to go out tomorrow! Little did I know that this would happen and I would find 7 caches on the 27th on the way back to locus' house.
We had a fun day even though it was hot and we nearly did ourselves in when we walked 3.5km around the Burra mine site. We even decided on the spur of the moment to go and try for a FTF in Terowie (which we did get) and in the process cleared out Terowie.
Arrived in Pt Wakefield at 11:00pm and completed the AL in the dark with the help of a very strong torch. By the time we left there it was getting close to midnight and we stopped in Virginia and surrounds for the next day caches. Then it was back to pick my car up and I made it home at 2:30am after a very long but enjoyable caching trip with a total of 32 caches found and 3 AL's completed, have to be happy with that.
We came to GZ from the top, had a quick find of the cache, then drove down the slippery slope.
Thanks for the cache 4WHEELAUSSIE.

Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with a breakfast event north-east of the city, before travelling to Kapunda primarily to complete the *Kapunda Hauntings Adventure* Adventure Lab. It was great to visit Kapunda once again, and a nice historical little mining town, and we enjoyed our walk around the old mining area. We did a few other adventures in the area, before heading back home via Seppeltsfield.
Nice views from above here. The cache didn't take long to find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks 4WHEELAUSSIE for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Hevwalker is visiting for the weekend, and we decided to head out after having a BBQ dinner and grab some caches while we waited for nightfall before tackling the Haunted Adventure Lab! Our second attempt on this and we found it as soon as we got to GZ. Faceplant! why did we not find that last time....must have been suffering a major case of cache blindness! TFTC

Out and about with CPwanderer today, as it was a pleasant spring day.
CP doesn't have a 4 wheel drive, but we had no problems with the road or accessing the cache.
A bit of searching a CP came up with the prize, nice views, no problems with reception here...
Thanks for bringing us here 4WHEELAUSSIE

Found after a short search with clare007!!! We drove up the slope without any issues!!! Thanks for the hide!!
Mate there is no way I would have come from "that" way today. It was total mud. Come from the bakery side! A quick stop on a tour of a couple of my caches in the area.
Thanks to 4WHEELAUSSIE and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Came up the 'slippery slope' on a sunny day (this could be interesting after rain - will have to keep our eye out) .
Looked around in the grass for a long time (lots of hiding spots) before returning to our original GZ and found it just outside the original search area. Doh !

Out on a beautiful day to cache and try our hand at Magnet fishing! Arrived at GZ but had no luck. Checked with a previous finder and they confirmed we were looking in the right spot. Will keep it on watch list and try again. Gorgeous views though!
Not slippery today, but took a few mins to locate the cache hide.
Glorious sunset here too...

A tower with a good defensive position.
Worthy attributes for a rainy day, but even a 'rolla would make it today ;p

Saw this had been posted three hours earlier, thought I'd missed first, but nice and close for a daily anyway. Pleasantly surprised by more than just the views
