Logs
I found it and Im surprised that I found it because I thought it would be a bit harder but no
Today we had a good drive / wander round the town and picked up several caches - trads, puzzles we had solved and a few multis worked on today too.Another solved at home. Parked up and wandered over to this one. One of the phones had little power so this one was initially looked for using the hint alone - nothing found - when able we read previous logs and realised the cache had been relocated and there was a different hint ( mentioned in a log but not updated in the cache page !)So using that cache found quickly. Took a while to get the container open and contents damp ( temporary container is not waterproof ) log signed and all returned(OAR added to highlight - amendment to hint and container)TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Coordinates changed from:S 38 38.855 E 177 59.381Coordinates changed to:S 38 38.855 E 177 59.377Distance from original: 18.8 feet or 5.7 meters.Thanks GoldenWattle for updated co-ordinates
The area has significantly changed recently so the cache has gone. Thank you to Goldenwattle for replacing the cache. The current coordinates are S38 38.855 E177 59.377 and the hint is third post from the left.
I have left a temporary cache at the third from the left wooden post of the NEW fence. Only doing a note at present, until I hear from someone. It's a dental floss container. That's all I had. S38 38.855 E177 59.377.Added: Rubbishparty gave me permission to log ; thank you, and so this is Mary MacKillop find 126 for me. TFTC Rubbishparty & Travelling Sister.
It may have been found fairly recently but I couldn't find anything like the last loggers picture anywhere near the hint object.
A nice quick find. Note the hint is only a guide, the hide is with 2 metres. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised from Gisborne to Whakatane. The weather was fine mostly but there was a small amount of rain as we headed down the Waioeka Gorge.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Heaps of places to park, quickly found the cache, signed the log and replaced. Got a bit wet because a Gisborne tropical downpour started. TFTC
.Last stop for today on our way back to Zara. Just had to come visit May MacKillop. Left my calling card. Cheers

I don’t believe it. Two FTFs in one day.
Who is Mary McKillop anyway. Oh no! Ignorant me. And here is a grey haired old man sitting in a motor home, outside, outside the school. Exit quick!
Thanks guys. Got bitten by the ants guarding GZ.

Also could not find checked most obvious white post well, and further afield, but no luck!
TeamBOP are together again after lockdown decided to head to Gisborne for a day trip we have a list of 60 caches to get today. TeamBOP consists of myself, McJandals, Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. Had an early start of 4am today arriving into Gisborne at 730am. Thanks for all the hides. Replaced the log sheet had pencil and bag in cache but no log sheet.
With (Mr) Davidson clan, Gap (of Fap and Gap), and McJandals. We planned a Gisborne roadtrip in August to get a jump on the Reach the Peak challenge, but Covid-19 lockdowns stuffed up our plans. As soon as levels allowed for it, our outing was back on the table. Today’s one-day mission meant getting up and away by 4AM…
We used to have a MacKillop College in Rotorua - A Catholic high school for girls. It merged with Edmund Rice to become John Paul College. It was interesting to make those connections with this cache. We’re not sure what had happened to the missing logbook, so we replaced it. Thanks Travelling Sister and Rubbishparty and TFTC.

A plan was hatched recently to hit the Gisborne area this weekend. Nice to get away after the recent lockdown and grab some smiles. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

#12,515. Short walk along Campion Road in Te Hapara, Gisborne. Interesting history. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. But unfortunately, German State Flag Tag was not in the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

I moved the snail shell from Napier to Gisborne yesterday. I decided to go for a few caches before attending the event this morning.
Found the nice new replacement cache container.
Cheers for the cache.

Checked on the cache and it has gone. I think the gardener did too good a clean up. Have replaced it with a smaller container squeezed in. Hopefully will last. If not will find a slightly different place nearby.
Seems strange to be “finding” a cache that I actually put here however as this remained an unfound green symbol, I guess it’s the only way to turn it into a smiley. Have dropped off a TB.
TFTC and history lesson. It's god to know the origins of things, and the good that people have done.
Walking past so dropped off a pencil which I had forgotten to include. Also left another TB.
TFTC!
Beautiful spot, good place for a cache. Enjoyed watching the ducks this morning!️
