Headed south today to knock a few unfound caches off my map. Found some old ones, found some new; found some trads, found some mysteries; found some urban caches, found some in conservation parks. Only one was sought and not found. I had an intention to find Freddo's Transient Atmospheric Phenomenon but there was food fait at GZ...so I didn't even start the search - but I did find a gourmet hotdog, smokey meat rub and a selection of pastries. Along the way I earned a September Equinox souvenir for finding three geocaches between September 22 and 28. The September equinox marks a moment of balance in Earths orbit with nearly equal amounts of daylight worldwide. It symbolizes transition, marking the start of autumn in the northern hemisphere and the start of spring in the southern hemisphere. It is celebrated as a time of interconnectedness, reminding us of our shared experience, regardless of hemisphere.TFTC to all COs
Out on Thursday weekly walk with friends. Before they arrived by train. Normanville & I had a coffee at the Tonsley Innovation complex then went to find this cache. Normanville worked out the hint & had her hands on it before I gingerly walked over the rocks. Unfortunately the lid is missing. Signed & replaced. Tftc
My first time actually inside the Tonsley precinct; I didnt even know that there was a Mantra here. Ive been passing this spot on trips to Victor for decades, but never took much notice, and of course now youre below the surface as you pass through. The condensed history of the area was appreciated. So was the hint, otherwise this could have taken quite a while (I probably would have given in) although I must admit that the coords are pretty good. Log is dry despite the missing lid. Thanks for putting a cache here irvyx4.
This was a nice, quick find to break up my uni day.Container is still missing screw cap, but contents are undamaged.TFTC!
Raise the roof! Parade down the streets! I have finally defeated my nemesis with a very helpful PAF! Thank you, cccl23, for helping me realise where I had gone wrong in my interpretation of the hint and guiding me to make that feel-good find!
After a Quick Look yesterday foiled by the brown things at GZ being burning hot returned today for the find. Would have struggled without the hint! As others have noted, the cache container is missing its lid, but the log was bone dry today. TFTC
This morning, I went to Tonsley for business. After that, I tried this cache as it's close by.Took some time to find a carpark space near GZ.At GZ, cache has been found, with the help of hint.Cache container is missing the lid, but the log sheet is in good condition.Signed the log sheet, and re-hid the cache in the place it used to be.Thanks for the cache, CelicaRose.-------**South Australia will host a Leap Day Mega Event on 29th February 2024. GCA1DNA: The Great Leap Forward. Count down: 44 days. **
Catching up on old logs from while we were moving states and travelling a lot. We made this find on a work trip to Adelaide and noticed this interesting hide not far from where we were staying/working. An afternoon drive and about 20minutes of searching and a lot of counting we were finally successful with the log in hand. We honestly didnt think we were going to have much luck here but I think we got lucky. Thanks for the hide! Found with Wombatshark29.
The container is missing its lid. As a result, a lot of the writing has been washed away in the logbook
This one has been my nemesis for years! Ever since it first came out I've been calling past once or twice a year for a quick look. Today thanks to the hint I managed to find it in minutes. Turns out my old GPS was incapable of displaying the squared symbol which made the hint read entirely wrong. I noticed the bottom cap on the container is missing and the log is held in by nothing but friction. Not sure if someone misplaced it or just forgot to put it back on, but without a lid the cache is currently unable to be sealed up. TFTC, it's such a good feeling to finally sign the log on a nemesis.
Very cool area and cache. Hint is amazing. Great camo. Cache is missing its lid but the log ie still dry as can be

Went to the place, no cache. Although I went to the location, maybe the cache is not there.
Either the rocks have squished the cache, or it was mugged. Owner Maintenance suggested.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 177. Blackwood Day 1. I was able to spend the morning caching down the western side of Adelaide and visit the Oakland wetlands before heading into town to do an important collection task before returning home for the day.
It is only now as I write the log I worked our what the clue meant, I was just lucky that as I worked my way along to what I thought it meant, I saw it along the way. I'll take luck any day.
Thanks for the cache CelicaRose

This morning the plan had been to kayak but the weather forecast for today didn’t look great so another adventure was planned.
This involved wellingtons, UV torch, torch and bringing a change of clothes (not required)
Fun day of caching only 11 for the day including 2 treks through drains and a celebration event.
Not sure why I haven’t done this one before but today on the way home decided to finally tick this one off the list. TFTC this one is lidless and may need CO attention.

In town with Mrs frog for some essential supplies leaving the rest of the day for caching in some southern suburbs.
This was one of the caches on our list for the day, a hot day and leaning on the hot metal had us moving, thanks to the clue this was a quick find, lots of work has happened here since our last visit to the area

Some interesting history, particularly as my Mum grew up in Clovelly Park back in the 40's. Amazing how much this site has changed over the years.
I wandered down here after dinner and bumped into my SES mate who was inline-skating around the smooth roads, and who helped me find this cache.
A great spot for a cache, sooo many hiding spots and only found thanks to the hint. TFTC!

"What a great night to go caching"...
Teamed up with Sebastbat after a dress rehearsal in a theatre nearby.
Had been playing with lighting all night so why not torchlight caching!
The security guard is now googling geocaching, and has our rego number in his notebook.
But luckily left us alone as we went for the cache [:o)]
The site has change so much since little Matty toured it on a school excursion to see how Chryslers were made

Caches everywhere up or down are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck and groping!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK.*

Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
slippery steps with broken grips, collapsible ladders...
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Due to a few van problems had to return to Adelaide for a couple of weeks before heading west. 9 November 2021 11:37 am Tyfc irvyx4 total caches now 3171
Travelling nearby so made a slight diversion. The hint made this relatively quick on a warm afternoon! Thanks for the hide!
Thanks for the cache irvyx4. Easy find using the hint, otherwise it would have been a toughy. No lid but the plastic is doing a fine job keeping it dry
A little conspicuous after school drop off, waiting for shops to open and 2 workmen watching me. Will come back again out of hours.
The weekly Wednesday wander of the befuddled. Thank you for the placement of the A History of Innovation cache irvyx4 find number 7986 on 23 June 2021 at 12:35 pm
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Didn't need anything for the calendar today but it was a Wednesday Walkies day for members of befuddled puzzle solvers. [^] Today it was Blackadders, S.A. sewer Rats and myself wandering the burbs for a few newer caches and a couple of solved puzzles.
We came and looked for quite some time before using the hint to narrow the search area. [^] That done and the cache was spied by Blackadders. Sneaky.
***Thanks irvyx4 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

It was time for a Wednesday Wander for a trio of Geoanimals.
A Rat, an Adder and a Starfish.
The Starfish and Adder picked Mrs Rat up after an appointment at the RAH.
This took a bit of searching.
Tricky getting to GZ.

Like a few others today, I headed over to find this cache while being in the area for the nearby event.
It took a little bit of searching, but I found the well hidden container.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache irvyx4.

After some digging a group of us found it after a celebration event
Placed it in a more findable spot where it was probably meant to be as it had fallen down a bit, it is still well hidden though

The bottom of the cache which closes the container is missing, we improvised by stuffing the bottom but it does need to be properly fixed or the logbook will fall out over time
Otherwise the logbook has plenty of space at the moment
All the best,

Sir_spectre and I were attending a nearby event and noticed this one was near to where we had parked. We wandered over and managed to spot the small hide. Great hint.
Thanks

found with mogni before the " Celebration Event - Everyone loves a 21st! ". quick find due to the hint. Also happy it wasn't a mint tin.

After dropping off a client for art class nearby I decided to just hang out for the two hours and do some uni work. Then I noticed there was a cache nearby so of course that took priority I’m very grateful there was a hint because I could have been looking a very long time otherwise! I think I did get lucky finding it so quickly! Very cool hiding spot! Thanks for the cache and filling in a bit of time for me!
Now staying in Brighton for a few days we headed out with a very large list of caches to be attempted but for varying reasons we left later than planned. Alas we are a bit out of practice with urban caching and these took us far longer than anticipated so we only got about halfway through the list. Means we have a list ready for another day. [:o)] Its pretty challenging trying to do stages of AdLabs whilst also doing the normal caches.

Had just found a couple of puzzle caches in the area and saw this one was not too far away so decided to swing by on the way back to the office to make the find. Parked nearby and wanderd to GZ, taking into account the Hint. Started the search. Moved lots of items but was not finding anything. PAF to ensure I was searching in the correct spot, which I was. Restarted the search and suddenly the cache appeared. Stamped the log and then returned as found.

Well it took a little while to work out and wait while a Tesla (car) circles around the area.
Amazing changes here over the years - and it doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon .
Glad for the clue, else this would have taken a long time to find .

Thanks again Irvyx4.

This evening after work, gridge98 and I travelled south to Happy Valley, Reynella East, and Woodcroft. We were driving around the suburbs selecting caches that we both hadn't found. A highlight was our walk in Happy Valley/Reynella East Wetlands. An enjoyable evening to be out and about in the warm weather.
I was going to get into trouble from the missus for delaying our home return, but a few of these caches in the industrial park had interested me for some time. So, with the difficulty of this cache alluring me, I thought it would be best to bring a friend with me. We noted the various PAFs required here, but in the end, it didn't take us long to find at all, although we note it could have been much more difficult! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks irvyx4 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Davidwazza had been watching this one and thought we should stop here on our way home to have a look. We arrived and soon spotted why this could be tricky but with the hint the cache was easily spotted within a minute. This could be very tricky if no hint was had. Cache is all good
This evening Davidwazza and I headed down south in a nice clear and warm night to collect a few caches and clean up the area around Happy Valley/Renyella East. In total 25 finds for the evening.

Have had this cache sitting on my radar for awhile now, just waiting for a day where I needed a find but did not want to travel too far from home. After parking nearby I made the short walk to gz to begin my search. Realizing where I was meant to be looking, I checked the hint, which greatly narrowed down my search and soon after I had the cache in hand. The log was signed and i was on my way. A fun cache, worth a favorite point.

gave this one another crack... not wanting to be the only DNF in the activity log... how was this ever missed??? thanks irvyx4
Owl had a spare day, so decided to do a maintenance run. Some of it was necessary, some not, but all was punctuated by occasional passing caches. This was one of the last finds, mostly because it was getting quite hot. The hiding metal was burning Owl's fingers, so a PaF was made. Confirmation of the right spot and the find was made almost as soon as the words were out of the friend's mouth. Nice job!
Today is Friday the 13th therein lies a morbid fear of such a day called [friggatriskaidekaphobia] lmao
No such fear for the wee-blue-birdy today as i made my way to this hide with confidence having done my homework on it before leaving home. This paid off bigtime as i had the nicely constructed hide in hand in under 15 seconds [^] (Loved that very helpful provided hint )
My ankles were bellowing warnings at me to take it nice and slow here [:o]
No twisted ankles were had and the cache was taken safely away so i could SL at 11:03 on 13/11/20, then replaced exactly as found [^]
A favorite point is awarded for the workmanship and the idea of placing one here sneaky... as i like it (most of the time ha ha )

Found four more newish trads on the way south and found myself at Flinders Uni. Eventually found a park and spent some time walking around to get the 3 trads there.
Headed further south to Flagstaff Hill and found 7 more trads before it was time to head home.
