I searched around here for quite some time yesterday, without any success. Last night I attended an event in Bright, and managed to get some excellent information from a member of the group that did find it. Returning this morning, armed with this extra knowledge, I managed to locate it.Thanks for your great work in this area, Ronice88.

Found by Mary and David with the VIC1 group. Today we started with the Bon Accord track caches and several others around Harrietville. After lunch at the pub, we headed out of town to tyackle the F.L.A.K.E. cache, which we completed. We found few Trads and multis along the way, and finished the day with an Event at the Bright pub. Our thanks to Ronice88.

I needed to warn up after a semi-dip at the dredge hole, and am always interested in some abandoned infrastructure. I'm always fascinated at how (likely) some people travelled half away around the world, into a foreign country faced with serious racism, worked away in the middle of nowhere, and only a couple generations later almost nothing is remembered of them.Found the cache quite quickly, and had a little bit of an explore around the area.

Found it! On my way back down the track I stopped here and to find another golden cache! Finding a way up took a few moments but soon I was up and wandering around what could be GZ as my phone gps dot remained on the track! Looking under various rocks and in nooks and crannies resulted in no cache and no gold! So I walked further up the hill to only come back down to where I started looking as the gps phone dot finally caught up. Looking at the base of a pile of rocks I saw a long thin dark tail disappear into some thick vegetation so I went the other way. Thankfully I didnt see the tail again. After looking in various places, finding a cave and retracing my steps I sat and read a few previous logs that sent my into a little gully and looking under some very large boulders. Still no cache. I nearly gave up but decided to ask the CO for an extra hint. As I waited for a reply I sat in the shade of the large boulders and just looked ahead of trying to regroup my thoughts and cool down with a drink water. And then I saw it. A golden glow in the setting sunlight, shining out between some rocks at the bottom of a wall, the cache! Phew! It was like finding real gold! I thanked the CO for their prompt reply and explained I had just found it! She was very happy to help anyway!! So I signed the log and replaced the cache back to its hiding and carefully walked back down to the track. Yeah! Phew TFTC SL cache is in good condition.

I’ve finally returned to Harrietville to finish off the Snomo series.

This was another small detour from the series. I took a good while searching before looking at previous posts. Those ftfers were a gold mine of help!

Cache was in great condition.

Nice spot! TFTC

#4745 Mr BGF was sent in to complete this mission while Mrs BGF and the geohounds waited down below. Long grass, uneven ground, prickly things, rocks and more rocks were all negotiated on the way to gz. Now where is the cache? Referred to the hint and thought is this some sort of cruel joke?? After looking around for near on 10 minutes, a clue in a previous log ensured the find was made before leaving the area. The waste rock dumps here are extensive and there was nicely constructed stone wall also observed on the way up. Another fascinating site and a fair assumption to link these workings to the Chinese. TFTC and adventure Ronice88.

This was such a blast. We clambered and stumbled to this cache and I would give it a touch higher terrain rating. It was so worth it though. At gz we scruffed around for a while and then the hint made sense. Another gorgeous container.
