Logs

I went out to this cache today and had to approach the new security for the power station to see if they could escort me in to remove the cache from what is now ,without any local advertising a closed community park. It seems that the war has caused some others not being our leaders but the shareholders to increase security around one of the states majour power supplies.

I will put a new cache in as soon as the situation settles down and the park is reopend.

Anyone looking for this cache btter forget about it while the War With Iraq is on. The area has been closed off for now due to suspected Terrorist Targets. As we approached the turnoff to the area, We were stopped by a security guard. It's a bit hard to explain what we were doing, when the person you are explaining it to is a little short on intelligence.
Anyhow, It was a good drive.

I hope to find this one after the War. Hopefully it won't have been Blown Up by Terrorists.

Took a look at the Power Station first. Quite impressive. Found the survey marker on my way to the cache. I was out by a bit at first in looking for the cache, but then so was my GPS for the survey marker, so I ditched the GPS and thought like a cacher and soon found it. Took nothing, left a Lion King figurine. Flick Travel Bug visited with me.

Good spot.. We were steered toward the permanent marker when we could not find the cache the first time... Decrypted the clue and then it was easy to find.. The container is still in good nick and all the contents were dry.. We resisted the temptation to take the tatoos and added a pokemon card and a hooter to the cache.. Great picnic spot..

Came in on our way to the Bunya mountains, first we called into the power station from the other side, very very exciting then went and had a look at the coal mine, up the dirt road then went around to the park where the cache is. Really easy to find.

We found the cache with no trouble at all at about 12:40pm. Easy cache to locate, but disappointing for the kids in that there were no contents other than the log book. Perhaps a visit to Crazy Clarks would be beneficial (although we didn't see one in Nanango)?
Left some tattoos for the next visitor.
Thanks for the hunt - nice spot for a picnic.
