Staying at Mt Gambier, we did a trip to Port MacDonnell today Muggle Husband took a wrong turn and ended up at this beach, which was great, as I immediately announced the presence of a cache close by. The cache container fits in with the location. Just brilliant.

Apologies for the late log, we have just come back from a 10 day holiday to South Australia, spending every minute we could with family Today (Wed 25/9) we checked out of the accomodation in here in Port MacDonnell just after 8.30am so we could find a few more caches here before heading to Meningie for the night. This was next on the agenda and once we got closer to GZ, GMelb made his way to GZ as I was wearing different shoes to yeserday as the others werent quite dry yet so I kept losing my footing. They dried a bit more as the day went on so I changed into them later. GMelb made the find of the appropriate cache at this pretty spot. TFTC Blamik - GJMMelb

Found at 12:46 PM GAFF1.We were wondering how the heck are we to get down there - is this really just a T of 2.0? Found a faint track which led me to a clearing and there it was! Right out in the open just lying there as a dismembered part!Replaced it in a nice secure spot with lots of rocks SmileThanks to Blamik

Staying down this way for a couple of nights and today, after finding a few selected multis in Mount Gambier, headed down to Port MacDonnell, hoping to clear the area of unfound physical caches. Had a rewarding day, dodging the showers, sometimes, and only missed one traditional that, without swimming, was never going to be found in the all too few hours spent in this lovely little seaside village, hope it stays that way.
Quick find once at GZ but container was badly damaged and log was suffering as a result. Also noticed that there is already a Needs Maintenance log. Sooner the better.
Thanks Blamik for putting out this cache for all to find.
Cache #13392 for me.

TFTC. We are camped at Penola for the week. Each day we head out to explore and cache. Today we headed out to Port MacDonnell. The main aim was to find the 2001 Lady Nelson Views. Once that was achieved we made our way back along the coast toward the town, caching as we went.
A great day with the rain holding off.

Thanks to Blamik for this hide.

Haha! We had a good chuckle when we arrived at GZ. We were not expecting that! But, very nicely done, and we have now signed the log and add a favourite point for this one.

On a camping road trip to the Grampians, Mt Gambier and surrounding areas. We are now camping at Fort O'Hare Camping Ground in Dartmoor. Today we headed interstate to explore the Port Macdonnell area and pick up a couple of caches, this was the second cache for the afternoon. After checking out the views we took the short walk through the sand dunes to find the cache which we did. A very appropriate cache for the area and a favourite from us. TFTC and bringing us to this area.

Lovely themed find here.
Mrs Riddell got here almost spiraling around avoiding the dense vegetation, and was onto it in no time.
Unsure if this is a revegetation area or not.

No responsibile way into this one - should be archived.

04-Apr-22
This is behind a fenced revegetation area - access requires an irresponsibile amount of bush bashing, not in line with geocaching tenets. Should be archived.

A group of Victorian teams and one from NSW have been working on solving the On Your Bike series and surrounding puzzles for some time. We had a couple of tries at coming over to actually find them but we were thwarted by rona and the borders. Now we are here for 4 days, the weather is beautiful, the people are committed and the caches were all there.

Found on our way home after spending the night in Mt Scott conseration park and then heading to Port Mac for the night.

After setting up camp Mr Morris wasn't going to move so Lady Morris headed out to try and find a few. Thanks for contributing to the fun.

It was a lovely fine morning and the Carpark was full of local surfers preparing to tackle the waves.
I tackled your cache instead and liked the way you linked the name up.

Found with FUF009.
2 years on and we finally made it back to Millicent. It's been top of the destination list since we were here last time. Pity we missed the Mega.

Today we drove around the coast and just did the caches we came across, that we could access.
A nice day in a nice part of the country.

This CO has a sense of humour similar to my own. A favourite.

Find # 10419

Found with sharkiefan.

Back in SA, caching around the area with out base being Millicent.
It was 2 years ago on the March long weekend we were last over here. (That was pre covid/lockdown days.)
We had a great time, back then, and when we got home it was only 20days later Vic went into full covid lockdown mode.

The world has changed somewhat since then, but caching still gets us out n about.

And it is kind of fitting that we are back here for a planned interstate caching trip to get us both back into an area we enjoy (not ta mention I always enjoy the SA caches n trails)

This trip we are both armed with some new gear for the new trails. And i had a few caches targeted to help achieve some challenges and stats.

Once again it was a great little break from the norm of life back home.

Took the hard way in, made the find then followed the easy track out..... gotta love it.
The water around here is super clear today.

Found with Team Waldron during a trip to the south-east for a few days. On Day 1 we travelled via Meningie, the Coorong and Kingston SE to Millicent and Tantanoola. On Day 2, we toured around Glencoe and completed the STCL series, Colour by Song series, and the AooA series (and found any other caches along the way). On Day 3 we cached around Tarpeena then to Mt Gambier to do the Adventure Lab caches and down to Port MacDonnell. On the final day we completed the Honan Mint Trail and found the southern half of the Awaken and Live series before time got the better of us and we headed for home. Thanks for the cache Blamik!

A trip to the South East with Featherwaite for a few days.

We had a great time and found a "few" caches along the way.

Off to an event in Port McDonald today, quick stop for this one. TFTC

13-May-21
We were in Portland visiting dad (SuperPop) and with the weather looking marginally better on the weather map this side of the border we thought that we would come over here and try our luck at a few caches.

We have to agree with the cache page about the views here and the weather today made it far more scenic. You most certainly wouldn't have wanted to be out in a boat or in the water.
We rugged up again and followed the GPSr to gz where the cache was spotted as we approached and we both smiled at what we saw. This was another very well themed cache of which the log book now contains our name and the cache page another favourite point.

Many thanks once more Blamik for the cache.

nice theming. quick find after a short stroll.
found with mogni. The target this australia day long weekend was 3 island caches, ladder entry in to a cave, a few tree/structure climbs, finishing mine and mogni's tradition fizzy grids, driving for 10's of km's along the coast line at various spots ( longest stretch was over 30 km's ) and a multi on a calendar day for me plus a puzzle and multi on calendar days for mogni.

25-Jan-21
A long weekend away with sir_spectre. Lots of 4WDing and for me getting those caches that I had been hoping to get to one day. This turned out to be an unfortunate choice of container, considering recent events.
Thanks to Blamik from mogni Smile

This weekend, I headed to the Limestone Coast / south-east for cave diving, but also to find a few geocaches when time allowed. It was only a quick weekend travelling to Mt Gambier via Bordertown on Friday, and returning Sunday via Millicent and Kingston. I was able to fit in a visit south to Port MacDonnell on Saturday, and a few other small detours around Mt Gambier.

Today, after cave diving just south of Mount Gambier, I elected to use the remainder of my afternoon with visiting Port MacDonnell to complete the *Port Mac* Adventure Lab. I made my way back to Mount Gambier via Wye to then attend the dinner event. A few miscellaneous Mount Gambier geocaches were also visited, in addition to completing the *Mount Gambier War Memorials & Artillery* Adventure Lab.

I had visited a cluster of these geocaches towards the end of Port MacDonnell only a few months ago, but obviously this was a new one that had been published since my visit. As I was already nearby completing the Adventure Lab, it was only an additional short detour to visit this beach. I made my walk out through the dunes to find the very creative and nicely constructed cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. A Favourite Point for its theme to this spot. Thanks Blamik for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A nice bit of exercise to get to this cache...nice views too...

Now we are on a mission. Nine caching teams riding in convoy. Nothing will stop us now. Starting to rain.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Due to COVID restrictions the event is now postponed to early October 2021. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this four day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find including two classic geo art trails including the famous animated bottle and glass.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found with hevwalker and SnappyTomCats whilst we enjoyed a caching day with geofriends, we had planned to go along the beach to get some cool caches but high tides and waves prevented us today so will return another day for those. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful view....althou we nearly blew away with the wind...... it was still a great day. TFTC

In Millicent for the long weekend and to attend the Geoventure 2020 Celebration Event..oh and to cache of course! Today was also a number building exercise to get us to our next milestone of 5000. We were out with hevwalker, scramping. Mattycat, Sebastbat and **JEM**. TriggerFish and Freddo had joined us as well. It was a wild and wooly day today..rain. wind, birds flying backwards, Cows blowing over...it was carnage. With this many looking for the cache, it made for a quick find! TFTC[8)][8)]

( Hopefully we'll be back for the big one when it's able to go ahead Wink )

Teamed up with Sebastbat, and JEM for a long long weekend caching. CoolCoolCool
Joined SnappyTomCats, Scramping, and Hevwalker for a while today, then added Freddo and Trigger_Fish, so interesting tracks, sand, mud, bushes, coastal ruggedness... all in the pouring rain and wind. Great company and a lot of fun Cool

A nice little themed hide. Not a mint tin so deserves a fav point Razz
Fingers might have pointed at a bad time of the month Surprised
