Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose, Freddo, and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks Tankengine for the cache.
Love the movie and the book in my old time. decide to do this with 63Roos while she in ACT for her holiday so we solve the problem and head to GZ to sign the log and placed back where it belong... What a great hide TFTC and thank you ALL7 from your lovely drive
Accompanied with Groots-1983 solve this multi and together trip around for few caches and love tintin movies,. TFTM
My 4000th find! This milestone kinda snuck up on me so I didn't make much of a plan to celebrate, with AL points being included and my recent focus on those, my numbers ticked over quicker than I expected. With a free Sunday morning I was keen to log the milestone so while searching the map I remembered this multi nearby. This worked on several levels. The gz hill was my extended backyard as a kid so it was great to be back in the area, I'd also spent heaps of time at wp2. With the days before the internet this was a great resource. Ohh and man did the old carpets make great static electricity for pranking your mates. The final gz was also a place I went past on the way to high school on my bike twice a day, I'd even rode up the alternative way once and looked out. A very cool multi with several interesting locations. fitting for the milestone. A favorite point as well.I got another shot of some more stencil art nearby. Very cool. Thanks for the fun and memories.
Fantastic multi!.. my favorite TINTIN ... I have heaps books of TINTIN but My daughter took my books to read...lol Crazy walking and drive everywhere... lol .. fav for you... wink thank you
Found with Czechboy14 Grew up reading TIn Tin and Asterix, so many great adventures!Took longer at WP1 to work out the coordinates, a tad frustrating but eventually the required numbers appeared. A week later CB14 poked his nose into what turned out to be WP2, again eventually numbers calculated and GZ coordinates gained. A week later passing by for the quick find, sign and replace, all without disturbing a sleeping muggle who possibly had too much drink the night before and was not able to make it home. TNLNSL TFTC
Started this one a few months ago, then did wp2 a month later, then finally today walked up to gz to make the find. A great multi. Thanks
Cache 10698 on 30 Sep 2023. Headed out with SpecimenX, TikvaNZ and ZQX to try our luck at this multi this morning. At the posted coordinates, we stood around for a while sorting out the next waypoint, took us a few minutes. Then off to WP2 to get yet more information. I had seen this in the distant past, so good to be remind of it again. Then off to GZ where SpecimenX made the quick find. A fun hour spent. Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!
#21182 @0905Met up with ZQX, AngelG27, and SpecimenX to tackle this multi. Easily found the WP and soon solved the puzzle thanks to 4 sets of eyes and hands working on it. Headed to the next WP, and then to GZ, where SpecimenX made the find. TFTC.
Found with SpecimenX, AngelG27 and TikvaNZ on a sunny day. SpecimenX made the find at GZ.Interesting feature at WP2.I'm a big fan of Tintin. I've read most of the books, and owned almost all of them at one point. I had no idea there were any tributes or traces of Tintin in Canberra.TFT multi C.
Haven't caches in several months so it was so good to get out on such a sparkling day and grab a few caches Met up with AngelG27, TikvaNZ and ZQX and off we went to WP1. Team effort here and I love the 'twist' to the custom made puzzle.I had an inkling were WP2 was even before we solved the puzzle as I heard about the spot a few years ago. Anyway, off we went and yep... I was right! Quick calc at that spot and off we went for the stroll and made the quick find there!Giving a fave for this one - I spent many hours at the school library reading every single one of Tin Tin's books and every now and again I'll revisit his adventures! Thanks for the fun, TE!
#4268 I ventured in and found the components for the completion of Waypoint 1 a couple of days ago and gathered all the information required for Waypoint 2. This waypoint was then visited yesterday and it did take a few moments to realise what I was actually looking for. Then eventually all made sense and checksums confirmed my final destination. While I could have continued on, I left the final assault until today. The last steps all went to plan and the cache was soon logged and replaced. Thanks Tankengine for preparing and placing this multi for our enjoyment.
No pen today but took a photo of the log (and mini Tankengine coin we found on the ground!) as proof of our visit. Said picture is attached.
An excellent TE multi with a nice twist along the way. I read many Tin Tin books as a child, so it was nice seeing the tie in here.
Thanks for an excellent addition. A well earned favourite point awarded.

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Took geohound and geopartner on a walk near Oakey Hill. Started sunny. Got xold and overcast. But we sorted the field puzzle. Following the brisk walk, we made our way to WP2 then GZ.
This is a fave, because geohound's hero is Milou (aka Snowy). TFTC TE

Attempted to get to the WP2 but everything was roped off for construction and the best I could get was 20 m away. Might try after work hours next time !
Fantastic multi!
WP1 was an unexpected field puzzle from
TE which was really cool to have something unique! It was a lot harder than I was anticipating, once I opened the container and saw the pieces in front of me I groaned! Whilst it’s not a huge puzzle you’ve certainly not made it easy to put together…!
WP2 I have visited before a few years ago, as these types of locations are my passion & I explore spots like these when I’m not geocaching often! Thanks for highlighting this spot with a cache!
A big favourite point from me for both WP1 & WP2 specifically. We had plans to sign the log at GZ later today……so we were absolutely gobsmacked when we managed to find ourselves in a position to actually sign it much earlier whilst cleaning up mess we had previously made… only the CO will understand!
Thanks for this multi

Found with Loci and Seb while picking up the remnants of a failed cache. Managed to spot it from a different angle than I think was intended. Interesting... TFTC Tankengine! A favourite for the nice multi.
I grew up with tintin et milou given my French heritage, and of course all the comic books were also in French, as they were in the 'olden days'. This cache title, and description image, certainly brought back many found memories of my childhood AND it was good that it was a fun cache adventure to boot. TFTC Tankengine!
What an excellent multi!
No issues at the starting co-ords, although we were initially looking in the wrong place before finding the field puzzle hidden in a much more logical spot. A race to complete - very nicely designed!
Off to WP2 which I recognised before we set off from the map location - I have walked passed here countless times on the way between the carpark (sadly gone to make way for more buildings) and the relevant institution. Whilst I had wondered about this before (future cachers will understand when they get there), I'd never got up close and personal with it as we did today while we gathered data.
Things counted, numbers crunched and then a logical GZ deduced - not too far away at all. Cache found quickly in a likely spot (another place I have gazed at many times from a window in a nearby building!) and of course in excellent condition.
This is a very well designed multi, Tankengine, and great to show us a little artistic treat. A favourite from me!

Now this is a found I can log too. I have seen this multi in many stages of its existence and Im glad it is finally out. WP1 has been a pleasure for me twice. Once before placement then again onsite. WP2 is an interesting spot that has been there for a very long time. And so has GZ, but its a busy spot each time I have been there, but most people dont take too much notice. Tftc!!!
Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* with Aquilus1 !
Fun fun fun. A Favorite. Doing it at night only added to the fun of this adventure.
New month, new chaches lets go why not. At WP1 we managed the solve the field puzzle not before long and that was indeed fun. A little baffled by where it was sending us but this was surly it. Fun Wp2 and quick find at GZ made for an very enjoyable cache outing in nice company.
Thank you Tankengine for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
