Logs
Bit squelchy under foot due to rain but we got what we came for, no toilet paper just a log book. Nice little stop before heading up the river road. TFTC
After a DNF here a while back, we have been checking back to see if there are any finds, and after a couple new logs we went back today and found it easy! No idea how we missed it the first time. Leaving confused but happy to have changed a blue face to yellow
Turned my frown upside down, not sure how I managed to miss it with all the searching last time, found in under a minute today. Thanks for the cache. Log signed Tilly and Sticky
I have found the cache But the paper Insite was very durty and look like paper of the toilet It was to dirty to write
Looked around for ages, got on my knees and felt under everything I could think of. The previous DNF didn't instill hope...
Searched for about 20 mins, using the hint and all the previous logs, no luck today unfortunately
Stopped off on they way back to wanganui from the lookout on river road unfortunately after what felt like forever ( maybe 15 mins) myself and my partner and friend could not find it Look "underneath" everything, high n low. Hopefully it's still there
Took my kids out for their first find, great lil hunters! Awesome little find
Nice info board here. Good place for a break. Had to read the info boards to fill in time waiting for the muggle to leave. Yeah, right! I would have read them anyway!
It's a four-day weekend! Lord knows why the boss gave the whole company a paid day off, but nice! Thank you very much! So I headed to Whanganui, and maybe Hawera, to get rid of some pesky green spots.

On a day bike ride up the Whanganui River Road. Looked for this one on the way in, and then again on the way back. My bike buddies helped too. No success today, not sure quite what the hint referred to but tried the obvious locations. Will have to return and try another day.
10 years ago this week I was in a van driving Pipiriki to Taumarunui having just kayaked the Wanganui river. Just being here brought back some memories. Didn't take long to find the cache. Thanks mjmnz

Heading through to Wanganui today and this is a nice quiet place to stop for a visit. Soon spotted and signed before heading off, cheers
After we leave the Tongaririo NP and drive to Whanganui we stopped here to have a look for this Cache.
Thanks for hidding say GeoGrillen

Almost back on track with our caching plan after a FTF detour towards Marton, this one was a relatively easy find but I did almost come a cropper going down the ramp and not walking on the centre grippy part!
TNLN TFTC!

Found the lidless mint tin which was all rusted. Luckily I was carrying spares, so replaced the cache with a new one. Interesting location. Thanks for the hide
Find number 7739. On a trip with my daughter. She is doing the Te Araroa Trail and I am being her support for a few days. Having spent 2 nights doing the Whanganui she made her way by pushbike along the road. We spent a night at the Rivertime Lodge where I had a good sleep. She did not as she claimed I snored all night. She left early this morning and I caught up with her here. Took me a while to located the cache but got there in the end. Thank you for the placement.
A fairly quick find as we started up the River Road. From looking at the logs later, it sounds as if there may be two containers here. If so, we found the lidless one. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. We found the green container after a bit of hunting.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather most of today and we travelled from Whanganui to Turangi..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

#13,116. Interesting stopping point at the start of the Whanganui River Road in Parikino. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a bit of a search. The cache container lid had gone, but the log remained dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and .T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e..M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.
Our ‘loop’ drive has finished and it has been most interesting.
I last came down the river road in Easter 1977 when the road was not tar sealed, and as damp as it was today. My friends and I were in a mini and we made it a rally drive - a safe rally drive I might add. Today’s trip was slower with many more stops to find the caches and enjoy the views. I would like to be back here to see the Wanganui River in flood. TFTC mjmnz.

After a bit of a break from caching I am catching up on my logging that I hadn't finished due to various reasons, mainly procrastinating.Heading North with redants for a few days away to attend a wedding near Cambridge. I'm sure i had found a cache here before.TFTC mjmnz.
The weekend was long and we had to get to Hamilton by Sunday. Road was easier, so we packed up the car and headed north with a spot of caching to break the monotony of the scenery rushing by.
Another cache already found by Banian so I was on my own, again. Spent the whole search with one eye on the sign boards and one eye on where the GPS was pointing. Took a bit longer to find than it should've, but got an excellent crash course history in the area to make up for it. TFTC

We’d been planning this trip up this road today to explore all the history for a couple of weeks so imagine my dismay to big rainfall predictions for the weekend...we decided to chance it and still come as this area was only showing 30-40% chance of rain. Was teeming with rain in Taranaki as we left early morning but by the time we hit Hawera the skies had lightened and we had pretty much good weather all day! But I did still have to get a towel out of the car to kneel on for the hunt for this cache as my knees would of gotten soggy. Next minute the hubby was on his knees too having a look. He gets the credit for spotting this one. Was good to read the signage across the road to see what we were in for. TFTC
Eventually found after following little blue he's directing. Found the new blue container but no log so inserted a new sheet. Found lidless green container with log so signed that too. Returned both. Tftcsl
Checking up on some green spots on the maps and discovering a couple of logs that i had failed to do so this is a rather late log. we were on our way to ohakune and decided on travelling along this route instead of the normal State Highway 1.
I remember an earlier cache here also,
thank you for replacing this cache .

Traveling down from National Park to Wanganui this morning, and nothing else planned, so plenty of time to pick up caches along the way. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball, so it was jump out of the car and find the cache as quickly as possible to minimize the wet clothing! We got out here and had a look, then another look and then two cyclists and a truckie emerged for a break so we gave up at that point. The cache may still be here as we hadn't finished looking, but going by the previous logs it should have been an easy find and I did check the logical spots before we were interrupted. Maybe a spot of cache blindness on my part - I will watch the future logs with interest!
First stop on our way to Hamilton.
We've found one here before. In fact its probably the one that's next to the new one. We signed both just to be sure.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

A cache a day for 2 days, won’t last long!!
Out for a ride a stopped here to see how I went finding the cache. Coords took me right to GZ where the cache was soon found - TNLNSL and left as found.
Thanks for the placement here mjmnz, second time finding a cache at this spot.

Since I didn't have much luck on this trip I was so happy to find this cache! Thanks for hiding it for us!
Very nice find with woolwood9 on a little trip away!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (May be black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We really enjoyed the tour around from cache to cache!*
Quickly found.

A beautiful, peaceful day. I got one here ages ago so was delighted another one had replaced it. The site is lovely to wander through and have a read. TFTC
I was going to Bulls this afternoon so I carried on to Whanganui to find some more caches. Had found one near here before. Soon had cache in hand and signed. Thanks mjmnz for the cache.
Getting close to our destination but still time to get these new placements. I also found the last option here and good to be back.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

My last evening in Whanganui for a while and it was all quiet at work so headed out for some new caches. A rather miserable wet evening but always worth being cheered up with a smiley. Quick find here and probably in the same place that I previously couldn’t find the old cache. Thanks.
Thanks for placing one here, never stopped before! Took a bit to find and the lid is missing, tin is rusty too. Signed log and put back. TFTC
What a perfect Spring geocaching day so we enjoyed a little expedition to the north of Whanganui, and up towards Raetihi. We aimed to complete eight caches and succeeded with seven. Most of the caches were quite straightforward and we drove through some great scenery and a few roadworks especially along that unstable Parapara Rd - but it is very interesting to see what is being done to maintain the road. We got back to Upukongaro in time for a late yummy lunch which we ate sitting in the very pleasant garden of the cafe - a lovely finish to our day.
We've visited this spot before and the info boards are good, although the area beside and behind seems unfortunately to have been being used as a toilet!
We quickly found and signed a cache, but it was in need of attention - the lid missing, although the log had been replaced. Now we wonder if we found a previous cache container - but it does appear to be still in use! TFTC

After noticing this cache having gone live the other day we made a plan to come out and find it this evening while hopefully nabbing the STF.
Once at the site we had no issues locating it. We claimed the STF, signed the log and concealed again while no one was around.
This was such an amazing spot. We stopped and read the information on the signs. I can’t believe I’ve never stopped here before!
Thank you for bringing us here and TFTC mjmnz!

[FTF] Hard to believe that this was published over twenty four hours ago and I'm still the first here. Passing by on one of my regular weekend trips to Wanganui and couldn't pass by the opportunity. No problem finding this one in the first place I checked. TFTC.
