The Geomen took off early this morning to conquour the "This is SA" series and show those Victorians a thing or two. They returned triumphant, having found all the caches on their hit list. Thanks for the cache.
With sustenance packed, geo-hubby and Mr ILT set off a first light to do the This is SA series. They enjoyed their adventure and grabbed several other caches in the area while up that way. Thanks Michells&hound
We are heading home after having a great time at The Great Leap Forward Mega dropping micaparamedic off at the border making a slight detour on our way to Portland hoping to pick up a few caches. We missed the entrance to this one on the way passed as the gates were open and the sign was on the one facing away from us. A quick u-turn soon fixed that and we soon found the right way in. We certainly had no idea that there was a cemetery here and if it wasn't for this cache we would never have found it.We followed the GPSr and spotted a very likely location as we got closer and sure enough our suspicions were right so after adding our name to the log we returned everything as it was and headed off to the informative notice board to learn a little more about this place. Many thanks Michells&hound for the cache.
Good to remember Rex, I parked at the main gate this evening and made the walk in. Pitch black and phone torch light made this one tough to find. After searching the trees the cache was found and is all goodThis week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache
Just finished the Border Track and staying at The Frances Hotel/ Motel. Love visiting old cemeteries and this was no exception. Log in good condition, signed and replaced. Thanks Michells&hound for this cache
On our way to Keith and a slight detour at Naracoorte. Both Nephews were excited to get out of the car for a stroll. Cache was found and logged. TFTC
Thanks Michells&hound for placing a cache here, what an amazing cemetery, spent time wandering the site, thanks for placing this cache here. Happy trails from Deanside
Found by Mary and David at 12:10. A FP even before M got out of the GeoPrado. SheMuch to see here, loves these places for the graveyard architecture, plus the carved symbolism and social history of the epitaphs. Much to see here, especially some lovely wrought iron, probably the work of the local blacksmith. Our thanks to Michells&hound.
TFTC. We had pulled up at the recreation reserve to camp the night. As it was still early I got the bike out of the car and cycled to the cemetery first and then the Rusty Rails cache. Both quick finds.
Fascinating cemetery, small and tucked well away from the main road.

Three day Melbourne Dash
Day Three: Melbourne to Gumeracha
Weather: amazingly cool after yesterday, with light rain in Victoria.
Back in SA, and also thrilled to see that I’m in Naracoorte-Lucindale LGA - I was expecting this to be Tatiara. A familiar CO too; it’s good to be home.
This is an unusual cemetery, completely obscured from view by a surrounding mini forest. I can understand why Rex would have liked it.
Thanks for putting a cache here Michells&hound.

Finally got to here after bypassing this road a few times...
I got to meet Rex a few times, and watch his tree climbing antics.
Tis sad he is gone now...
R.I.P.
Quick find, as it was out in the open, so placed it back as per the hint, and covered it to maybe stop the next critter moving it...

Thanks

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Michells&hound

Heading up to Ngarkat for some caching & 4 wheeling fun, the rain subsided long enough to find and sign this cache on the way past.
An interesting Cemetery and I'll have to return to get a better look in daylight
Thanks Michells & Rex for placing & maintaining this game piece
Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK

An absolutely fantastic spot. Would never have thought to visit this location if it wasn't for the cache. Even the other half was impressed! TFTC
Finally into South Australia from Victoria and heading up along side the border. Decided to look for this cache as the other site in town had workers near it. Always interesting to check out the local cemeteries and this one was no exception.
The cache was located by the eagle eyed geowife.
Now off to Bordertown for fuel as there is no unleaded in town.
TFTC and sorry about the delay in logging it

Heading homeward after a week of adventures in the Murraylands, with fellow cachers from NSW, SA and Victoria. This is certainly a cemetery with a difference!
Satellites today had our GZ 11 metres SW of where we found the cache.
Thanks Michells&hound for placing caches in interesting locations.

Plans had been made for a weekend away to find the This is SA series of caches in Little Desert. We had planned that AusFox;, Sims_family and my muggle brother. Unfortunately for AusFox;, caught the dreaded Vids and wasn't up to the weekend. So my muggle brother and I headed off for a long weekend of camping and caching. Having safely made our way through the Little Desert, we stopped by here and walked into a fascinating old cemetery. After searching for a while, we finally found the cache on the edge of an old, dilapidated grave. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Michells@hound.
Such a cool cache location...... we spent more time ........ checking out the surroundings and history....such a cool place....
Out & about on this beautiful spring day with scramping. We headed to Naracoorte for a bit of bargain shopping then through to Frances collecting the few caches we have left along this route.
What an interesting location. We wandered around a bit before we remembered why we were there.
Thanks for bringing us to this location, Michells&hound

This is a spot you would not even know was here. Bit past its prime but still a nice spot. Overshot the cache using coordinates but used hint and soon spotted the cache. Giving it a fav point.
Heading to SA today we followed the trail of unfound Adventure Lab's and caches along the way, making it a very zig zag route. We finally crossed the border after 12 months of Covid problems, leaving Victoria behind us and our new adventure beginning.
We enjoy cemetery caches but this one was extra special. A hidden location that looks like it has been forgotten for many years, quite sad really to see the neglected damaged headstones and overgrown vegetation.
Thanks Michells&hound and Rex for showing us here today with your cache.

An amazing place, straight out of a horror movie !
Still, if someone took an interest, it would only be half a days work to clean it up and clear the access track in and the grave site area .
TNLNSL.
Still plenty of room for new residents .

My goodness how did you find this cemetery in such a hidden away area. Thanks for bringing us here.
We did find the co-ords to be out by around 10m's and our GPS had us in the yard next door. Once we placed the GPS down and started to use our eyes and the hint we found the cache. I thought that I took a set of co-ords but it appears that the gremlins got into our GPS and removed them. T 1 x TB SL TFTC

I see dead people. This site is the perfect place for a halloween event. We locked the gate when we left. To make sure the zombies did not escape. Awesome location. The blue and red flashing lights on the nearby border were additional awesomeness.
Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
