Logs
An afternoon caching in Yarraville with echidna44 led us to this site where we found this cache snugly hidden away in a sneaky spot. Thanks Robmc
TFTC:). Looked around for a bit. Eventually saw something that stood out and made the find.C.C
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #20 - a 20,000 step walk around Yarraville and Spotswood. On arrival, I couldn't see anything that matched the cache name. That is until I did. Not much of this old fellow left. Thanks from D B-A
I don't know what cachers have been finding and putting maintenance logs on as it is not the cache! The cache is in its original location with log sheet inside, and not damaged. It is ready to be found.
Log is missing from the container. Completely empty when opened. Apart from that everything else seems ok. Hope this gets replaced soon.
Sorry about the previous attention needed log that was for a different cache. My bad
TFTC the log inside was a bit damaged and the container was in plain sight. Log needs replacing probably
A need for a walk despite the possibility of rain saw me travel over the Westgate, and down a couple of streets to park up in a residential street which sat opposite one of the two bridges over Stony Creek in this section of the creek. I appreciated the short travel time and once again marvelled at how getting from one set of inner suburbs to another is far quicker than driving to the northern suburbs or Mornington Peninsula. My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. Many thanks to the COs for placing these additional caches along Stony Creek during the latter half of 2023 and one in 2020 during the lengthiest lockdown. I ended up walking (and finding) the other half of what I thought I might find when looking at the series on the computer/phone a few days ago.I was just fine with that given it fulfilled the desired distance. This was a much healthier walk given fewer trucks in the area. The bit of Stony Creek over the Somerville Rd./Princes Highway intersection really needs a bit of money spent on it by the local council. It's like it is an afterthought, probably because pedestrians can make it across Princes Highway a little further up the road as opposed to using the set of crossings at that intersection.---I could've sworn I had found another cache some years ago in the exact same location. I remember having issues with the nearby basketball court being occupied by muggles and thinking I was glad that the cache was tucked far enough away such that the find could be made away from prying eyes. At any rate, this was a very quick find once on site.
I had millions of ants crawl on me as I grabbed the cache. Very easy to find.
First geocache! Pretty fun to find, and in a nice spot. Me and my brother loved it
*Tenth Day Of Christmas Rainy Cache Bikearama #21*Why? Cos we're crazy. This must be audit dat, RobMc! This cache was "out in the open", covered in some sort of slime suggesting it had gone through some creature's digestive tract. The log sheets, thankfully, were still dry. I made the cache less obvious to muggles (but maybe more obvious to cachers). Well worth a health check. Thanks heaps for the cache!
Found at 14:09Last of my loop for today and happily the area was deserted so I was able to check out the three different versions of Ex-Tree to uncover the container. Thanks Robmc for the cache and for the excise to walk some more of this nice trail.
Working in this area and when I finished early, thought I would go for a stroll from Tottingham to Spotswood collecting geocaches on the way. 7 finds, 2 DNFs and 1 Multicache I started but wanted to take me back the way I came. Not bad for 2 hours and over 7 kilometres walked. Almost got the targeted 20 caches in this LGA now.Found this one without the guys in high vis seeing me. Glad the trees were between the cache and them. Thanks for the cache Rob MCHunter
Two trains and a bus Iv'e come down from Thomastown to do a few caches. First one for the day, found it OK and in good order. Thank you Robmc for getting me out this way.Greytiger
Out today for some walking and caching. I chose Stony Creek and Kororoit Creeks to walk some and drive some - truly a Robmc day with all caches belonging to him. Yep. Found it!
My thanks for the cache, Robmc.
My thanks for the cache, Robmc.
Not sure what people have been finding, but the cache is still in its position with an old log sheet that is not wet.
Signed: GeoYowie’s …in light of previous comments and in the spirit of service to the geo community, I donated some fresh dry sheets of notepaper in a zip locked bag, as the log was too damp and couldn’t be signed..but I think the cache itself will still need to be given some waterproofing enhancements at some stage.
Maybe someone can advise me if I need to fill out a Maintainence request or whatever is the correct protocol - if any.. Thank you all the same for this fun series right on my doorstep

Yay! Found it. Not as per the hint tho’… it was under a rock at the base of a living shrub. Log is a bit fragile (soft and tears easily) but we managed to sign it okay.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Whilst I was able to find it, I was unable to sign as the log book has been ruined.

A small detour on the way home after spending the morning in Melbourne.
I walked past the hide following the GPS and spotted something that caught my eye. Once the GPS settled, it took me back to the spot I’d just spotted.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional cache Robmc
