Logs
Reading the dish racing reminded me of an adventure ~45 years ago in the snow. I was taken to the snow fields with a double blow up air mattress encased in a giant plastic bag. Then every kid in range jumped on - the speed was super impressive, but it had absolutely no steering. We raced straight through the rope fence meant to mark the boundaries of the toboggan area, and waaaaaay down the slope. Great fun!I also didn't find the log book - it seems that alternating finders do. I suspect I wasn't keen enough in my efforts to dismantle the inner container .... I did try though!
Certainly not enough snow around to get any skis on here. But a little but of ice in the cache instead. Loved the big container, really easy to find and with a cool hidden log book inside. One more cache after this one before the summit!! TFTC
Thanks for bucking the trend of more micros Found on our way to lunch at Harrietville after a night of camping at Fed hut
After a few hours hiking around Feathertop I stopped at this cache on the way home. I had to hurry as a thunderstorm was brewing. Love the skier but no log book or pencil.
The call was made to head for the hills and a beaut day was picked indeed! With a 34 degree day brewing in the valley it was a lovely shaded morning to be walking up the Bungalow Spur.
The goal for the day was to summit Mount Feathertop for the first time this year (leaving it a bit late I know).
The temperature was perfect up top and it would have been great to have stayed longer.
There was a lot of people on the trail today ️️
This was one of 2 caches found for the day. There was a little bit of moisture in the container but it was removed. The log sheet was safe and dry though.

After spending a foggy night camping near the Federation Hut we headed down Bungalow Spur. I have been out to Mt Feathertop many times but this was the first time out this way. It wasn't as bad as I had heard so that was a pleasant surprise.
No snow yet this season so the skis will have to wait, Thanks for another well themed cache, all well with the cache

My forward process had slowed up considerably by this point, as it always does along this section from the old bungalow site to the hut, although I must say the track is in the best condition I have seen it for years, as this last kilometre used to be brutal, but it’s not so bad now, a hell of a lot less steps….
So, back to the action….
I was moving along at the speed of smell due to the after effects of the booster shot, and looking to my left for an entry point to the bushy bushes….
And then, “ah, there it is”…..quite a bold hide that, but I suppose every is looking in the other direction up here at the view, not into the bushes.
So I wrote my name in the log book, and added Poolpools name to the log sheet as well.
Now, the final push to the hut….

by the time you reach here, you are going to be tired
we were tired
we made the mistake of climbing a hill this morning which, coupled with this pig of a hill, contributed to that creeping looming piercing tiredness
but ignore your legs and look for the good news: the silver lining on the blustery clouds
we are almost there
only about a kilometre to go, and only about two hundred metres left to climb
and about time too:
the sun has already sunk behind the mountaintops and the evening light is fading fast
and about time to:
get a move on
and get to camp
onwards and upwards

I am out for a couple of days with the outdoor education students from work. We camped at Fed Hut last night, after yesterday walking along the Razorback track. Today we are walking down the hill to back to Harrietville. I had the job of walking at the back of the group, so had time to stop and find the caches on the way. What creative caches have been placed, and with informative info too. Didn't even realise I was 2TF here, but there was no logbook to sign, so I just left my name on a piece of paper in the container. Thanks for the time and effort to place this cache here Ronice88.
Great waterproof container and what a trophy for chook footers to boot. Bravo. Thanks CO
