With caching being a little quiet for us over the last few weeks due to life commitments I decided it was time to nab some after work. I finished a little earlier then anticipated and with a few hours up my sleeve I thought Id get cracking at the Running ManI never actually realised this area was bush land so that took me by surprise, I guess its always a pleasant experience to wander around somewhere new, and I really enjoyed walking the trails, it brought back some memories from my old caching days.Quick find here after a brief search. Thanks for bringing me here.____________________________________Something big is coming to the Sunny Coast on the 5th October 2025.Head to GCARTY0 to see all about the Sunshine Coast Beach Party event.#4469 - TFTC
After a last minute change of plans yesterday, , headed out west today to try and do the whole Running Man geoart series. I had solved the majority of these before leaving NZ, but did need a nudge from the CO after arriving in Oz, to get me on the right track for the remaining few.A pleasantly warm winter day today with 33 degrees, , so my initial plans from weeks ago of walking a route to get as many as possible were scrapped and driving as close as possible was now the order of the day.Well, this was a doozy. Needed quite a bit of help to achieve the puzzle solve. Then at GZ, I had a tott, but it's mode of operation was the reverse to what I needed. Hmmm.., a bit of Kiwi no 8 wire ingenuity was called for and before long I was signing the log on a 5/3.5 cache that would fill one of my remaining spots on my loop 2 D/T grid. Absolutely has to be a FP from me here and also very pleased to complete the series today with 100% finds.
Out with the COs to do some maintenance on the Running Man series. This was the first one. Interesting concept. Seen a few times over the years. Signed the log and returned to where found. Thanks RoddyC. All good with this cache and puzzle.
OOps. Forgot about this one with all the work going on for GCLOGAN in September/October. Will make time ASAP.
Replacing the cache today and the branch broke. Will have to come back with greater height TOTT, but that won't be until the end of April as we will be away from tomorrow till mid-April. I'll try to re-post in four weeks to keep this away from the "Assinine Archivers" - whoever they are at HQ!!!
A plan was hatched to go for a walk and collect all the caches in this well laid out geoart today. We had great weather conditions and enjoyed our exploration of the reserve and surrounds as we hunted. We spent a long time searching here and couldnt see the cache even with guidance from a PAF. It seems though, from reading poolpools log, that it had been removed for maintenance the day before our search. Sadly, this was my main target cache for the whole series as it filled a space on my D/T grid. Thanks RoddyC
The main objective for our stay in Brisbane was to complete the 'Running Man'Worked our way through the puzzles conversing with the helpful CO along the way...It's a D5 for a reason, a very good reason, hats off to the CO for this puzzleToday was the day with the CO and hatzofff in attendance we drove, e-scootered, walked our way along the well defined pathways signing the logs and performing maintenance as required...TOTT required, signed the log, but broke on the return, TFTC RoddyC, FP awarded !!!
Out today with the rest of the MummaBear and the cubs gang while DFC was on a day off.
We headed to the to Logan gathering caches for this months challenge and some oldies along the way.
Signed the log as MB&C
Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment and giving us a reason to stop.

We were lucky to park close bye.. Found what we needed and we returned with our tott. This cache sshaw did have our measure... The cache was totally broken, after some repairs and a new log sheet. The cache is now ready to be found, and the log is ready to be really signed off on. Tftc
This was an interesting caches and needed a couple of TOTT's to make the find.
Found with Fora the Explorer on our 2023 road trip. The 2nd TOTT did the trick. TFTC
Tftc RoddyC, having solved the puzzle, we now have the chance to collect this one. Had to use some ingenuity at GZ , cache soon in hand.
Nice DT.
Nice DT.
Today, I spent the day with georode in the Logan LGA area for a number of recreational activities: a paddle, a run (Running Man), fishing (for caches), and finding a few challenges.
The morning's rain was relentless as we questioned our sanity to geocache, but during our walk in Boronia Bushland Reserve, the rain subsided, and we started to enjoy our finds. The day commenced with a short kayak session in Scrubby Creek, followed by the completion of the *Running Man* geoart. A few extra Boronia Heights geocaches were found as we travelled around the area, and then made the detour to Logan Gardens Water park for a couple of strategic reverse Wherigo TOTT caches. The day was finished with a visit to Burbank Bushland for a couple of laughable challenges.
We needed to revert back to the vehicle in order to bring a TOTT to this cache, so after parking nearby, we took a wander to GZ. It took a while for georode and I searching around the trees searching upwards, and we were a little unsure where this cache would be given its Terrain rating, yet anti-climbing attribute. After reading some more logs and getting a feeling what this cache was, we finally caught sight of the cache, and then wondered how we had missed it for so long. Its coordinates were slightly out. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a nice/unique variation with the use of the TOTT. It wasn't the first time that I had seen this method used, but normally it isn't so high! Thanks RoddyC for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A Favourite Point for its unique construction!

Out for a daytrip in this area with Davidwazza for some caching.
This geoart was one of the main targets for the day. The puzzles were solved over the last year, although for some of them I needed strong hints to get to the solution. All in all a great mix of puzzles and a nice area for hides. This one was obviously the hardest and needed a lot of guidance to be solved.
More (mostly unimportant) information can be found in my caching friends comprehensive log
Thanks for the geocache

This caravan work is taking its toll and is a bigger job than I expected. However, I still need to collect a cache for today and keep my challenges kicking along. So it was just one today and this was the lucky one, oh but there is another just a short distance away so I guess I will grab it too.
How funny is this one, while I was looking in a different spot and having no luck I thought I would expand my search. I went back to the path and started surveying the area, with in seconds I spied the cache, well I think it was the cache. I walked over and sure enough it was and although I have seen this type before I still got a smile. Ok a favourite point here from me.
I signed the log and returned it to its hide. Thanks for the fun here today.

Sunday. Out on a trip with Que Sera. I’d been here not too long before with another geocacher, but this time was just as much fun. Such a fun cache.
Just stopping in to log some TB visits.

Mrs Slow Puncture and i decided to meet up with our push bikes and find some caches around here. All up we found 28 caches and 1 DNF over a 4 hour bike ride . My geo work friend and i had so much fun solving these puzzles .This puzzle we got somewhere, then nowhere . We put it away for awhile then picked it up again and got further. Then we hit a road block . We were working with another cacher and she had some hints from the CO (thank you) . I had a bit of an idea and it paid off . Then there was another step and i would never have got that without help. At GZ the cache was easy to spot and i had fun getting it down. Thats a cache i dont think i will forget. So giving it a FP for all the fun
I have a good idea where my puzzle skills top out… and it’s well below this one… luckily I have much smarter and patient friends…
Thankfully it wasn’t a long hike into GZ… although Geepers wanted me further into the greenery… once I widened my search area it wasn’t that’s to spot the odd thing out…
I haven’t seen one of these types of hide for ages… I remember them being popular around Stanthorpe many years ago… a quick retrieval and even quicker return…
Tftc… My final Running Man!!! I’m exhausted…

Needing some exercise, I to Boronia Heights to find some solved mystery caches an to go for a walk. This cache took a bit of effort to retrieve as my tool was not set up for it. A bit of maneuvering and I was soon adding my name to the log. TFTC

Saturday. On my way home with Pprime. We’d had an exciting night camping up at O’Reilly’s. It was rather stormy up there (to say the least). No sleep meant I really didn’t want to go walking with the rest of the group to grab caches up there, so decided to head home with the safety of Pprime being in the front vehicle. The road was practically washed away and I was bottoming out, so home it was. I had this particular cache solved some time ago and although I didn’t have the required TOTT, Mr Prime did, so we parked and went in. Nice quick grab and we had the log signed. Nice idea and slightly different to the usual TOTT required. Thanks for placing this one here for us to find today.
This was the only cache found on this outing.
Thanks ***RoddyC*** for showing us this place

After a poor (but largely successful) attempt at camping in a gale, Mrs Slow Puncture and I decided to have a quieter day away from the weather. After coffee and a leg stretch in the sun (so nice being warm again) we decided a couple of rest stops on the trip home would be a good idea, so ehre we are. I carry such tools in the car, so no worries here at all today.
Thanks RoddyC for entertaining me at this location.

Solved this one a day or two after it was shared as a potential day trip, but alas, I do not have the TOTT. Fast forward to today and I joined Jacs, my fav witch, and Batman to try our luck! JACS did the retrieval honours to celebrate her 10th loop - very impressive indeed!

We have a few loopy trips of late and today was mine. The weather was not being super kind and I was particularly tired after an early morning trip north to park run with mum and then the puzzling trail. I was was glad we just had the one significant one to do here and I kinda of enjoyed the drive over as it gave my legs a rest. TeamARF was eagle eyed and spot this lovely contraption up the tree. I did the honours of bringing down to earth, before allow it to fly free back home. Such fun. A big drive home and a quick spot of lunch on route and then it was time to curl up on the couch and check out the back of my eyelids for a while.
Thanks for cache RoddyC. No doubt we’ll be back at some point to clean up the series.

In the company of JACS Team to complete her loop 10 here! Clever multi-faceted puzzle and I loved the ingenuity of the cache!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Always up for a loopy cache - it was JACS Teams turn for the loop today. I did not enjoy the puzzle - mostly because I could not see an obvious solution! But I eventually got there. Despite my world renowned tree fishing skills, I let JACS do the honours today. TFTC.
A puzzle to make the head spin n' ache. Others supplied the brain power and the good looks. My job was simple, bring your big stick and keep quiet. I went beyond my simple tasks and spotted the cache hide too.
Happy for JACS achieving the perfect ten for this find. Expected to see JACS recreate the Running at the Beach scene made famous by Bo Derek in the movie 10 but I wasn't allowed to watch.
With this series started I will devote some brain activity to look at the other puzzles for a future trip to the dark side. Cheers RoddyC for your efforts.

I searched for this for far too long and, when I spotted it, wondered how I’d missed it. Thanks for the cache
Out for a day of caching with KerriMG and we decided to go south and collect some solved puzzles.
This puzzle caused us a lot of heart ache as too did the hide. We looked up every tree on both sides of the running water with no luck. KerriMG ventured a little further away and said those magical words - found it.
KerriMG had the honours of fishing and while she made easy work of the retrieving it took a bit to put it back (we didn’t want to just let go as that might break it) we finally got it back as found.
Moral of the story. We solved it. We found it. We signed it. We returned it.

Late start for the day. As I was heading towards Victoria Point I rung Muggle65 and Green Geckos to see what they were doing. Green Geckos said they were heading Southside. I ask if they would like to help with some high D/T caches. They said yes.
Why waiting for them. I did 3 waypoints for Adventure Labs.
My finds count for today was. 9 Finds the breakdown was 3 mystery, 2 traditional, earthcache and 3 waypoints.
Oh what fun it is for tree fishing. My caching buddies had done this one before and ask I would like to grab this one. I couldn’t say no could I.

Out and about caching with IolantheK and joojoo57 today. Initially, after the first cache, we were hit by about a 20 minute shower which was heavy at times. Afterwards we decided to tackle some of the Running Man series of caches. We completed 7 and 2 of those we required the Tree Fishing pole. All the 7 caches we went looking for were found and logs signed. TFTC Roddy C
Yet another catch up with joojoo57 and Richmond Lad, for some puzzle solving and caching [^]
We had collected an AL this morning but got rained out just as we completed it, so decided to leave the rest of our caching to this afternoon. Now our plan is to gather 7 of this series. Last cache for the day, and I picked this one specifically as it helps towards my 8th lap of the D/T grid. And it also stands as my 12,000th find
A little surprised by what we found, but Richmond Lad made short work of the grab. I signed us all in then was pleased to have the duty of "returning the cache to its rightful place" TFTC, RoddyC.

After had our morning caching interrupted by some heavy showers we decided to venture out mid afternoon and was able to collect a few. All were quick finds and in good condition. Thanks RoddyC for the puzzles and the hides.
The whole process of solving this puzzle & finding this cache was a marathon from publication to final elation!
But ... well worth the effort.

Solved over a few weeks, bouncing ideas and receiving some pointers from CO.
It will help if you csn get inside the mind of the cache owner. Not sure how but I have heard of this thing called 5G
At the coordinates I began looking at a likely candidate before widening my search a bit
Thank you for hiding this geocache RoddyC

Trying to complete a D/T Loop of Mysteries, TGG & I were lucky to discuss a few with fellow cachers a few weeks back. So today we put the icing on this one on our way about Bris. Loved the concept of this one a fav!!!
Muggle65 and l were very lucky at a recent event to have this one explained to us. Have to confess that l understood very little of what was said but as he had been given the coords, was happy to share. Today we ventured out to retrieve the prize. It was very unique! Fave point from me
Very fortunate enough to have been invited by the CO to assist with the beta testing and cache placements of this terrific Running Man geo art series of interesting puzzles. Since then I have been slowly trying to solve each one but as in most cases with there being unique puzzles, of course I've had to resort to several PAF's.
Such a wicked puzzle but do enjoy getting the use out of our new ToT.
A favourite point from me.

Out on the southside picking up a few target caches, in particular the Oxley series and Runner geoart, with lots of others grabbed along the way.
This was a particular target cache as it is completes our 9th DT loop, so a lot of effort was invested in solving and finding it.
With a nice babbling brook nearby I searched for the cache and soon spotted it, and retrieved it using my trusty TOTT.
Find #11080 @ 10:01
Thanks RoddyC for giving us a reason to visit. Adding an FP for the adventure.

RoddyC.... I’m not sure how you managed to get to this hide into place!? Was it Hatzoff who did the honours!? Well, either way it was a nifty hide and we needed to put our brains and tools to good use in order to extract and grab this one.
We had not solved this one in advance, and were grateful for a few bits of information at the event from the CO himself With some good numbers, and our stomachs full of sausages and cake we found this one on our afternoon walk.
Thanks RoddyC for the puzzles and hides. Many creative hides and good camouflage along the way.
A FP here for sure!

I'm not going to pretend I've solved this one. I make D1 puzzles D5! I'm hopeless. Even with his generous hints and explanations, I feel like I have to go to Uni to help someone else to solve it. LOLs
Lucky the CO wants his caches to be found. And we did find this fantastic cache! A favourite for sure.
