Searched ground-zero tree plus those around without success. . Maybe another day!

24-Sep-21
Focused on the incorrect tree for a bit, then had another look and went to another tree then bingo
Found on a very cold windy day the rain was coming in sidewards on the walk back.
Thanks, Angus 88 for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Spending some more time up in the North and North West today and in between meetings and non geocaching related things also made time to search for more of the outstanding and previous dnf geocaches that we are yet to find in the area.

We took a nice stroll across the golf course to this gz. It was raining really heavy so equipped with umbrellas the good thing was the rain seemed to scare all the golfers away, not a golfers muggle in sight. Well hidden cache under lots of tree litter. TFTC

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. An absolutely glorious day to be out caching. Luckily no golfers around today. TFTC

After an afternoon break for a nice cup of tea back at camp, we ventured out to the west this time with the bikes to log a few more before dinner time. But its after dinner now, and its still light. So we are walking from the Dunes bistro to the coloured doors before dodging golfers
and looking for this cache on the golf course. Found easily as it was showing its credentials to all comers, so its nicely stowed away now with a bit more camouglage. TFTC Angus88.

Cool little spot on the golf course. Good job Angus

Mr Beetle waited with the bikes while Mrs Beetle and grandson wandered over to GZ.
We were only just there when a wayward ball went flying past the 9 year old's head!!!
Luckily there wasn't a competition on and it was only a young muggle practising so we didn't have to wait too long until he had moved on past us.
Then a quick find was made.
Thanks.

Thanks for the cache. Apologies for the generic cache. Spent four days 'up north; with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP. Today was day 3, another sunny day, a great day for caching. Today we backtracked a bit, went around in a bit of a circle, followed a few different tracks along rivers and beaches, and visited a nature reserve.

Thanks for the cache Angus88.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I have spent a couple of days in the area, and as it was such a beautiful sunny day today, we headed out for a walk to find some caches. We have stayed nearby only just over a year ago, and there were hardly any caches in the area. Since then, it appears the caches have bred like rabbits! They are everywhere - which makes a trip to the area very attractive. No golf today, so it was a nice direct walk - just a groundsman mowing one of the greens in the distance. A nice quick find at GZ.

After a lovely walk in the Kelsey Tier Green Belt we still had plenty of time so decided to make our way to Port Sorrel to look for the recently published Angus88 caches. This was the first one we tackled.

The coast was clear so we made a bee line to the hide. We had just recovered the cache container when we heard muggle players approaching. One had lost a ball so was keen to ask us if we had seen where it landed. Alas we had not seen it so he had to search on. once his mates had played their shots they all moved on and we returned the container to its hide.

Thanks for this cache Angus88 we had not been in this area for a while so enjoyed a look around on our way in and out.

This cache was published as I was in the area of the Kelcey Tier Green Belt intending to look for the newly published caches there. As it was bucketing down with rain I decided not to proceed further with any searches. After attending the 20 year celebration event at Latrobe with the rain easing I came to Port Sorell to make the FTF.
