Accompany with Groot-1983. What fantastic weather today! It feels warm. Thanks to ALL7 for taking us to Braidwood town for some caches. Excellent, enjoyed the day, and here lovely spotted, sign the log by the stamp of us. TFTC
Indeed the last stop for most people lying down here today. I think that the trick is to keep walking very fast so that it's NOT the last stop - well here anyway. Lovely cemetery, as far as cemeteries go, quick find in the beautiful Winter sunshine. TFTC STrangeTrousers!
A great day out in Braidwood and surrounds. Last time we were here there was a service being conducted, so we stayed away. Today this was a nice straightforward find at GZ; all good with cache and log. Thanks, StrangeTrousers!
A sad little corner but thanks for bringing me for a walk thru the cemetery I always find the old ones fascinating
Cooma to BraidwoodStopped for a couple of caches along the road where suitable with a caravan on.Now at Braidwood we are camped near the golf club. A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trailThanks StrangeTrousers for hiding this cache.
Good to revisit this old graveyard and as it has been many many years since I was last here.
Another DNF for this user that apparently the gps is off and very little description and hint
Finally! 1 of 3 today found!! Tftc. Looked at the old cache location (and no coordinates), and funnily enough no dice. Tftc. Quiet little corner far away from muggles
With Snotboxx visiting some local open gardens.Nice easy find in a interesting and quite old cemetery.Container and log book on good order.TfTC
Yes GZ is off a bit, but the bench seat provided the perfect place to sit and fill out the log, thanks.
Say on seat (wrong coordinates) and looked for a likely spot within 13 metres. Tftc
A quick stop in Braidwood on our return trip from the coast to Canberra. We stopped here, and with the updated coordinates, made a quick find at GZ.
Thanks Strange Trousers

I did not plan to find this cache, but Muggle Husband took a wrong turn, and had to pay the price. I found this cache using the coordinates supplied in previous logs.

Looking for a while at the post coordinates came up with nothing so we moved to the coordinates of one of the previous finders and found it in seconds. TFTC
Found it with itsharry084 - coordinates were off. Love exploring old cemeteries. TFTC
Off to the south coast of NSW for a week.
I was on the right track but didn't go far enough. After a jump into next paddock and back, it was a quick find.

Exploring the area around Braidwood, Araluen, Majors Creek.
Picking up a few caches and Adventure Labs.
Looked in one place then noted the cords were out so moved further along and made the find. We love visiting old cemeteries.

My first find of the day.
A peaceful and beautiful little cemetery.
It took me a while to locate the cache and in the end i resorted to checking the comments for clues.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Picked up with Joolay on a drive to Braidwood and Majors Creek. Lovely to be in here visiting this interesting cemetery again. Found cache 15m south of coords Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache StrangeTrousers
It was a day out and about Bungendore and Braidwood with the FFLL ladies and the ladies picked the best day to do it. It was a warm day with the sun shining and our main target was to get some multi's under our belts. A day of lots of laughs and quite a few caches found, including multi's, puzzles, traditionals, adventure labs and even an earthcache. Finished the day off getting caught in a hail storm on the way home, was a day of all kinds of weather.
Searched in all the wrong places at the GZ before being redirected by the comments of the GZ being out and the FFLL ladies advising me where to look. When redirected, the cache was soon found. Its a sad little corner of the cemetery this area is.
Thanks for the cache placement StrangeTrousers and thanks for the lovely day out FFLL ladies.

I remember coming here and claiming a find on the previous cache. Enjoyed the replacement, though I noted the coords had me >10M away

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Out with Marmaduke Rothschild for a drive interstate and in the country because we can.
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to StrangeTrousers for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

#11848 - 10:31:00 AM; Another day and another caching run with Sol de lune to meet our calendar day challenges. Braidwood was our destination of choice today as we build our number for 19 July. Fifteen finds with a single DNF for today's mission, with all our found caches in good order. We were having no luck with this one, so checked earlier logs which suggested we should widen our search area. once we did that, the cache was soon spotted. TFTC StrangeTrousers
Out with LuckyL10n for a run to Braidwood and this was our next stop.
I enjoy a good walk around a cemetery for a cache or two and this one was no different, although this corner of the cemetery makes you stop and think for a minute. No real issues with the cache and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks ST....

Finally found though a bit further away from where our iPad had it. Took time to look at some of the dates of burial on the way back. They are almost 200years old. TFTC StrangeTrousers
Out caching today before it got dark. We pulled up at the cemetery and headed to GZ. Wow, this one was tricky. The coordinates had me way off and I was looking in one spot for ages and got scratched A LOT! So I started expanding my search area and tried searching around another spot which seemed plausible but then a massive spider gave me a spook! Then finally we found it about 15m from our original search area. What did we do wrong? TFTC ST!
Found with SJG66 as part of our Braidwood Blitz. After finding all the multi caches, we turned out attention to the traditional with clean sweep. Thanks to all the CO's who hid and maintain these caches. TFTC.
Found with O319 on a day trip to Braidwood and Captains Flat. TFTC Needed to expand our search for this one.
A day caching in Braidwood with Binliner and Decrypter. Cache and log are good. TFTC StrangeTrousers.

Out for an after work drive to top up my find numbers for the day. I needed 12 caches, which is now hard to do in Canberra, so chose to visit Braidwood. A quick find here after a short stroll. TFTC.

After a few early caches and a Parkrun I had a nice coffee in Braidwood before leaving for today's goal, the trail towards Captain's Flat. Made good progress but had to leave a DNF as well.

I had a day off, so was looking for an area to spend a bit of time to get today's needed set of caches. I headed to Braidwood and did several normal caches, collected lots of information for Multis and did the Labs. I then went up to Majors Creek to visit and cache around there.
Thanks for the cache StrangeTrousers

Yay! Made the find but the cache was pretty hot to touch today!
Keen for a drive and a bit of caching today - Braidwood looked like it might do the trick! Has been great to pause and explore the area as so often I just stop in quickly as I am passing through. A great little adventure and a very successful day. Can’t wait to be back!

Quickly found, signed and retrieved. I think I've found a cache in this cemetery many years ago. TFTC
Finalf29 and I are on another caching road trip... woohoo! So good to be out with my bestest bud
Doing the multis in sunny Braidwood today
Thank goodness it wasn’t under that spiked tree! Thanks

Tankengine and I came into Braidwood for a couple of reasons. But one being to collect a few outstanding caches we have around town that have been published.
All caches found with ease and little issues. There was some interesting spots highlighted and it was nice to have the opportunity to see more of Braidwood rather than I usually just drive through to the coast.
Thank you Tankengine for your company and assistance today. It was a lot of fun! I'm so glad we got everything we wanted (and more) ticked off our list. I didn't think we would get all the caches in town as well, so that made an extra bonus.
This Cache: We parked at the entrance to the cemetery and walked up the back to GZ. There was a lizard on the way that ran into the plants and fake grass which gave us a jump, but the cache was found all safe and sound. Tftc StrangeTrousers!!!

Chooo ooo [found] - with dty73! We set out to do some caching in Bungendore and Braidwood today - and success - we cleaned out those two towns! (Again)(Well for now anyway)... This was a relatively quick find. But there were some minor delays in getting back. Thanks for the cache StrangeTrousers, and thanks for the company dty73!
So..... the weather is a bit crap for any walks, the grass length suggest staying to the paths..... so today Aquilus1 and I decided to target some numbers....being the newish trail from Captains Flat to Braidwood. We were in lucj as we spotted rainbow unicorns again, and this time we have a tame one with us!
Of course we grabbed a few others in addition to the trail, starting the day with a ladder cache, then onto the power trail, having lunch and with it a delightful bunch of simple caches around Braidwood, culminating with some oldies & larges on the way back to Canberra making it in time for the fabulous event TikvaNZ hosted on the lake.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining, we had a nice day out in some pretty nasty weather conditions. We did a ladder cache and three fishing pole caches today....nuts I know.
But, all I remember of the day was the freshness of that beautiful cake at the event.... and driving Aquilus1's car home..... she let me be a grumpy old man I let her be a social butterfly...whats not to like.

With GreyHams we set out for a newer trail between Captains Flat and Braidwood, lovely sunny day, a bit warm but the the cars aircon had that covered and the wind... OMG was it windy, so windy it was crazy! Debris blowing out the trees made their target of the car many times, we battled to just get in and out the car doors! I lost my hat a few times before it was placed safely back in the car and the prickle bushes that the wind blew into you, there was no escaping the long sharp thorns as the wind forced then in deeper!!!
Certainly not the greatest day to be out but we continued on happily, would seem luck was on our side with the Magical Rainbow Unicorn that appeared today! Mostly the caches were straight forward and easily located but we managed a tree climb while swaying in the wind and battled to complete and return 3 fishing pole caches, but we did!
A good variety of caches of all sizes through the day and even managed to collect quite a few nice caches in Braidwood after lunch. Heading back to Canberra for an event we stopped for a few old and large caches, as well as a few that there never seemed to be enough time to stop for previously.
A great day out, weather aside, and TikvaNZ's celebration event was a nice way to end the day by the lake and with absence of the crazy wind, finally! Nice to have a chat and the cake and sausages were great, as was the nice ice cold drinks which I got to enjoy while staying on for a little longer!!!
Thanks for your cache that was part of an enjoyable day! I do love a cemetery cache and this is a lovely old one to visit.

fitzy_1965 and I decided to head over to Braidwood for the afternoon to do a bit of caching.

Thanks StrangeTrousers. Quick stop for lunch.

22,110. Found during a run down Braidwood/Majors Creek way this afternoon with minniek.
Wanting to go caching, but not into Canberra again, we had a newly solved puzzle, a Multi and an AL to do down Braidwood way (not counting the new-ish power trail starting/ending there), so off we went. This was the next stop of the day. Not the first or probably the last cache I've found here. Walked in admiring the headstones and being wary for wriggley sticks, and once at GZ we made a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks StrangeTrousers !!

Today is the 23rd November 2020 and I managed to find about 32 Caches for the day with my friend Loci612. It was an amazing day of caching. We had 2x DNFs for the day and we also finished two Adventure Labs plus their bonus caches. We spent a total of almost 6 hours caching before I had to head home to do daddy duties. One of the highlights for the day was having a very tasty pie from the bakery in Bungendore. So very yummie. Lots of driving to find caches these days but I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 32 finds including the 10 Adventure Lab stages it is hard to write a different one for each cache.

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

I am currently writing more detailed logs than usual. This is because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author" Badge. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to write an average of one hundred words or more in each Found It log. As of 9th November 2020 my average was 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.

Parked outside the cemetery and enjoyed a short walk through it towards this cache. Noticed all the old graves, it was a little bit sad to see how poorly maintained some of the headstone's and graves were however.
The cache was quickly located in a safe spot in the back of the cemetery, good choice!
Thanks ST for bringing us here

What a beaut spot to spend a couple of days following local history. Lots of familiar names, like Badgery - totally fascinating place. Thanks for the cache, Strange Trousers.
Had not been in here since the last cache hide in the middle at least 7 years ago .
Great spot you could spent a lot of time at reading the history on headstones .
Thanks to Strangetrousers.

ALL7 had advised that she was thinking of placing a new trail around this area and asked if we wouldn't mind helping her, so we decided to tag along.
After finishing with the placement of the trail we decided to stop in Braidwood for something to eat and collected the caches around the area.
One of the FFLL team loves cemeteries so they always take way long then most.
But quick find at this one and then back to reading the headstones.
Thanks for the hide StrangeTrousers

FFLL x 2 and I drive around to country to Braidwood for day.... Good laugh and Jokes... Beautiful animals watched us.... Thanks
An interesting cemetery with lots of very old graves. Always good to look around. Cache found OK and all good.
Thanks,
Thanks,
*FTF* with Black Bunny.
Saw this one come up and thought it might be a nice day for a drive, so Black Bunny and I went out. Turns out the weather was quite iffy, but we found a clean log sheet, which makes up for a lot. We were happy, and found more caches 'on the way' home.
Thanks for placing this one, StrangeTrousers. We already love this cemetery, and have a cache here ourselves.
