no luck today. stomped around for nearly half a hour with several hiding spots that had potential but unfortunately were not it. just DNFing so i know to return when its not quite so late in the evening!
#13115 16:58Great spot at the waterside. Some great houses in this part of town!TFTC AussiePam
TFTC from the Kayakviking.Having just picked up CONSOL.LOG I wandered around to the point to stretch my legs.A cache guardian was sunning himself on a nearby rock and watched carefully as I maneuvered around.Cache located but was very exposed so I replaced the UPR.All good KV
Out for an early cycle. This was my turning point. Arrived at the Gz in the dark but with the help of my cycle light I soon had CIH. Sat and had a small snack, beautiful location. SL duties done and replaced as found. Cache and log in great condition. Thanks for placing this cache AussiePam #1870
Wifey and I parked up the hill and walked down to Folly Point on a lovely summer afternoon. Spotted this one quickly after a short rest looking out over the water. Cheers!
Spent a while looking for this one in the rain! very sneaky spot! GPS definitely helped
We balanced precariously on the slippery slope, closely checking a possible spot from each side before returning to a more level footing and taking another path that led to the hide. Just read the full lesson and I'm enjoying the clip as I write this. Thanks AussiePam.
This was a great place to come to hidden along the shores of Sydney.
Tricky slope but found cache.
Thanks AussiePam

I discovered follys point exploring while in lockdown but hadn't got back since for some unknown reason. Tonight thought I'd head there after work just at dusk. It was deserted and I spotted before not to long. Thanks AussiePam.
Nice one thank you, was pretty exposed so replaced it a little more discretely
Sent to Northbridge to repair balcony doors that are about to fall apparently and missed the turnoff, so headed here first. Hopefully I can find it before work, well that took some finding.
Quite a bit of back and forth, retracing steps, I was obsessed on looking for this stump.
Witnessed a large group of rowers too, thanks for the smiley

Found if with the goedog Zelda, on a journey to the northside to work off those excess Christmas (and covid) kilos. A young couple were enjoying lunch near GZ, so after a failed attempt, I visited the other cache nearby then attempted it on my return.
This time I ventured lower, and just as I was about to message the CO, I spotted it out in the open on the slope. After doing the legals, I hid it behind the bushy ferny shrub, out of sight.
I wasn't sure what UPR (Unnatural Pile of Rocks) meant, but now I know it means the same as SPOR! Though there was none near the cache location. And no stump either. Maybe it has had some cache creep.
After replacing the cache, we went down to the water's edge to check out the scenery. A very nice place to discover, that I would never have known about if it wasn't for geocaching. TFTC

A beautiful sunny day to revisit Folly Point. We found the previous cache here a few years back and it was just as nice today as it was then. SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek
Found it! Was challenging for us as our dog distracted me by eating human poo right in the cache location - yuck! Covered remaining poo as safe for the next finder.

Out for three calendar finds this afternoon. Decided to head east towards Cammeray where I have a few choices of target. As I still have a sore arm after yesterday's CoVid jab, the higher terrain caches were out. But I still ended up doing one cache with a very steep, slippery slope. Sigh.
Got all three I went for - HUZZAH! Pity I had to wrestle with some diabolical traffic nearer to home - ended up taking a big detour.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well I've been here before or a similarly named cache. And like last time I managed to get
a park close to GZ.
And then I saw the slope. Looks a lot steeper and slipperier than last time. But made it without issues.
Quick find - no camo. Signed, replaced and added extra camo.
Onwards to the next one.

TFTC! The trackable is already gone, but there are still a few little trinkets in there. Great weather for geocaching.
The obvious hiding spot at GZ was empty, but eventually we found it 4 m away and only later realised he meaning of the hint.
Geo Rabbit was on to this spot quick smart. Cache in good condition, log book dry, good place for drops an swaps and to drop off a TB or two. Dropped some swag took some swag. SL Thanks to the CO for bringing me to this location. The sea breeze was lovely on a gorgeous summer day
A feeling of déjà vu here.
With no parking available, I stayed in the car while oldmorty went for the cache.
He returned - no luck. As on our previous visit here the leaf little made it incredibly slippery.
We swapped places. I remembered a set of stairs leading down to the water and made my way there before tweaking my approach towards the cache.
Likely cache hide spotted - tiptoe towards hide (trying not to disturb the couple below) - cache in hand.

While frazeydaze hovered in the car in the turn circle - no car parking for miles - I approached gz via the slippery slope and decided that I'm too old for this and returned to the car. While I did some hovering frazeydaze found a set of stairs which made for an easier access to gz where she soon had the CIH. TFTC AussiePam.
My very first geocache and a very clever hiding spot! The spider was a surprise but he was very friendly. Thank you to the generous individual who included a propitious smiling fat Buddha, I have exchanged it with a figure of Ganesh I acquired in India. TFTC!
Have visited this place a few times over the years but not since I finally found the old cache placed here. No problem today and always wish I could jump into a tinny and head out to my yacht.....back to the car.....TFTC!
It was no folly coming here to find this cache, as the view here is beautiful, and a gentle breeze was lifting off the water on a warm afternoon. TFTC AussiePam
I feel like I found a cache down here before.
No matter, as the location is definitely worth the revisit.

Stopped off on my way home from work, after a night shift, to have a look at this latest "rebirthed" offering from AussiePam at Folly Point in Cammeray. There was plenty of easy parking at the end of the road on this quiet Sunday morning, but I'm sure that would not always be the case down here.
I remember coming to this lovely spot 6 years ago (9th August 2014) for the previous cache "GCKMFP Molly's Corner" (find #126, well before AussiePam adopted it and gave it a slight name change), and it's still as nice a place as I remember it. Headed down the steepish slope to a familiar spot for a super quick find, although I see that the original "host" has long gone and a substitute is now in play. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
After replacing the cache I went for a wander down to the water's edge and was rewarded with not only a nice early morning photo, but also a five dollar note that had washed up on the rocks. Who says geocaching doesn't pay . TFTC AussiePam, and the fiver!

A familiar folly in more ways than one.
I used to walk here via Primrose Park with the actual Bebes when they were puppies, it’s a very pretty spot even in today’s thunderstorm!

Well that was a surprise!
It's been a really long time since I had a FTF, but this morning the caching Gods were smiling on me and I was lucky.
Didn't hear the notifications of this morning's publishing, vacuuming, erk! Went and got organised to go out and do a couple of jobs and I was just about to leave when inquisitiveness got the better of me and I looked at the email and saw there'd been some new caches published and this one wasn't too far from home, but then again it was 45 minutes ago and with all those local FTF hounds there was no chance.
Still I headed over, completely wrong direction for the other jobs and arrived at a beautiful spot where I'd found a cache when I was a newbie. No one in sight - either they'd been and gone or could I be lucky??
Followed the GPS which took a while to settle here with all the trees and taking account of the hint fairly quickly had CIH. Opened it......blank!!
Signed the log, rehid the cache and was sitting on a rock enjoying the view and trying to do a quick log when a car pulled up and parked not quite legally. Yep another cacher!
So that was a successful start to the afternoon.

Thanks aussiepam for another cache

So nice we were on our way out here we thought we should have a stab at FTF. No chance. Three ahead of us on the log. Thanx anyway.
3rd to find at 12:29.
You really have to be quick to grab a FTF. I was at home today when the notification came in about this one being published and headed out immediatly upon recieving it.
After stumbling down to the GZ i found that i had missed the FTF spot by only 14 minutes. I ended up meeting BmFreja and erroma who arrived as i was signing the log.
I have a memory of coming to this reserve to find another cache a year or teo back that must have been archived. It was raining at the time and there was a muggle who was just sitting in the park, getting wet, the whole time i was searching.
Thanks.
