Like expedrory, we looked for the starting tag but couldnt find it. The mentioned coordinates take you to pile of leech infested tree branches, maybe there used to be a seat?

Had another go at this on my way to securing DGS AWP#2 (in fact 2 goes, one on way up, one on way down) but still cant find the initial instructions. I am assuming its a small tag somewhere but cant see it anywhere around - i will keep watching here to see if anyone else is able to find it and come in for another go as and when i can. I dont want to miss out on what no doubt will be another bush bashing epic!!

A big days walk scooping up whatever caches i can get round, possibly over-ambitious! Always prefer these remote caches so appreciate everyone's efforts to get them out in the wilds. TFTC.Last of the day, big day of 16km's walked. And unfortunately I couldn't find it. GPS signal very bad here but a good scope around and still came up blank. Quite a few obvious spots but no sign. Probably me being a bit dumb!

It was AWP with Toolman although knew the going might be a little overgrown. Cache is all good and decorations still in place. May not have approached from the best way but the regrowth Is dense and would not have been able to carry my caching partner so slow and easy, taking our time picking which way to go rather than the straight line. Got to gz and WOW! Like another world and in your own world at the same time.

Thanks DGS AUS for the cache.

What else would you want to do on a sunday arvo but smash a ftf and beat HUNTER THE HOUND....
Wellllllllll...... THIS WASNT THE CASE HERE !

After getting a head of steam up thinking i was a hero beating hunter to a MINT TIN at 12noon today i rolled home and got a message from a filthy dirtbag...
"whos going out this arvo"?
'Nope not me, cant do a big long walk. Happy to go for a cruise but thats about it.

OK, let leave soon TIM SAID
️ 'A WALK IN THE PARK' TIM SAID
'Dont Need gaiters' TIM SAID
'This this way will be easier' TIM SAID

.. ️ TIMS AN IDIOT ️ !!!!

But WOW HOW MUCH FUN IS FOLLOWING SOME PINHEAD INTO THE THICK UNDERGROWTH AFTER HAVING ALREADY SEEN A BIG COPPERHEAD SNAKE .....

In amongst cursing TIM, i had to stop and soak in the stunning tree ferns and boulders ️️

How can 350mtrs take soo long

This is a dead set cracker spot and its a shame i havnt been in here before....

'WALK IN THE PARK' is exactly that

**Not bad for a bloke who thought he would never hike or have fun again
Theres always something to smile about and push for

Fav point for sure

normally with these offset letterboxes, we would hesitate to talk in much detail about our journey to the treasure:
we know hunters often don the deerstalker and scrounge through past logs for clues
we wouldn’t want to give the game away

but here
we have no such worries
we could go into great detail about the trees and rocks and wildlife seen on our trip from A to B and no one would be any the wiser
the whole hillside is covered in the same coat of bushfire regrowth
dotted with the same mounds of granite
but, with the same sights and sounds all through these hills, you will not be able to figure out where we ended up

I've now hiked in this area both alone and with the Dirtbags, either caching or exploring. Each time I think I've seen all the cool places in this area, the Dirtbags find another great place to visit and this was no exception.

I've heard the Dirtbags talking about "contours" before. I'm guessing that they don't know that "contours" is just a scam created by the designers of the maps to stop their maps from having just a giant green spot on their maps. Knowing this, once I got to the posted coordinates and got the projection, I just followed the trail as far as possible. Then I took the straight line approach. Then it was straight downhill, crossed a creek, up again, crossed another creek and then looked at the large, steep embankment in front of me, with only 80 meters to go. I thought about heading down stream, and seeing if I could get around, but just struggled straight up. From that point I could see the rocks that the dirtbags desire.

Getting the last 20 meters to the GZ, meant sliding down hill and avoiding the large wombat, who ducked into his hole. I never saw any Bunyips but the Cache Guardian Spirit did then attack me. He had the cache well guarded but with a FTF on offer I had to go in. I can honestly say I won, with the Guardian loosing 2 teeth, but he did bite a hole completely though my jeans. Another pair destroyed on a DGS cache hunt, and I think that makes the count 3 jeans, 1 shirt and a pair of shorts.

Thanks for the cache DGS AUS.
Another favourite adventure, and I was able to sign the log book first at 7 am, a great way to start the day.
