Logs
Day 1 of my 2.5 weeks road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. A leisurely morning sleeping in & packing up. Left midday. This was my first stop to avenge a DNF. Fifth visit a success, after four earlier stopovers (ah, it was lost and replaced six months ago). Quick find today. Thanks AtTheLakeHouse and the original CO Wonka for my 2109 geocache find.
#21065 - 12:58:15 PM; Heading up to Port Macquarie with the geohoney for some family business. Stopped in here for a rest and to stretch the legs. While the geohoney enjoyed an ice cream, I headed over towards the bridge to grab this cache. Took a little longer than it should have and I noticed some other Canberra cachers had stopped by here not too long ago as well! TFTC Wnka
Quick trip north with friends, quick find as we momentarily stopped for a 'rest'. Quick find. TFTC AtTheLakeHouse!
I am travelling north for GCLOGAN, but first I had to stop into Parramatta LGA to grab a cache so that my map of NSW is completely green. Being by myself today I was able to take a break in here as hubby doesn't like to stop for a cache. After reading some previous logs I was able to work out where this little blighter was hidden. His log was signed as SG. TFTC Wonka

On our way from Perisher to Newcastle. Found it with help from a picture. Slightly off GPS but beautiful location. 25/08/24
Tftc. Stopped off on our way through and found it after a short search. Found with red_ear_slider
Nice and fast find with Portstevo on our way back north. Tftc and the brief stop on our lo g drive
Heading home to Newcastle in no great hurry stopped abd had time to get this cache. After having been over it so hundreds of times it was interesting to see under it. TFTC
Had a good look around and checked your previous logs for some possible clues. Wasn't able to. I was limited on time because just a quick stop here as part of a bus tour
Camping a night in the vicinity so had to grab the nearby cache.Thanks. Lovely spot
Its a good thing engineers design bridges, to withstand the constant barrage of tonnes of cars and trucks which pass over it each day. Under this bridge while finding the cache you certainly appreciate how strong these bridges are, Tftc
Found at 17:25 hrs. The first time Ive been here when there were no fishermen under the bridge. The last time I was here I managed to locate the cache, but there were too many watchful eyes, so I waited for another time. A beautiful sunset on a cool evening. TFTC.
Yeah great geo, the paper was a bit ripped up and I forgot a pen, so new at this and wasn't prepared haha
Heading to the Hunter for the second week of the school holidays. This is the third of our stops and the first with a cache. Took the fig and all quiet in the rain. Quick find here today - fat fingers made log extraction difficult.TFTC Wonka and AtTheLakeHouse for maintaining
As per my conversation with the previous owner, the cache was definitely gone. It was replaced today with a camoed mint tin. Please be mindful that there are cameras watching and treat the area respectfully. Also, there are often people fishing under the bridge. Please do not search while they are present but rather come back another time. See photo for new containers positioning.
Live too far away now so will archive soon unless someone is willing to adopt it? No idea on the condition of the cache. Sounds like it has been moved.
Fourth visit here, including my original DNF last Sept. Dec 23; Jan 24 and Mar 24 opportunities yielded zilch, so heres my 2nd logged DNF. Even got nudges from two PAFs last Dec and nothing yet. Interesting, eh? TFDNF
Not sure if this was a DNF. Plenty of fisher folk out today, so could not really get into the hunt. It was a very low tide too. Had a look, but nothing too serious. Aroused enough suspicion trying to prompt a "Are you looking for one of those cache things?", but only got odd looks. Will return.
Looked while at a family Christmas party. There must be thousands of different nooks and crannies this cache could have been hidden in, I looked for a while with some help, but couldn't find it anywhere! Maybe I'll get it next time. Thanks for the cache Wnka!
Nice little pit stop for stretching the legs, pretty view toilet break and a cachewhat more can a gal ask for!! Log full and we didnt have our geo bag on us this trip dammit so couldnt replace it.sorry!TFTC
A reasonably quick find while in the area. I had to explain to a young fishing family what was going on. Mum knew what I was up to. The log is a little full, but everything else is fine. Even smiled for the cameraTFTC
Name is misleading as its not actually under the bridge but a cool spot anyways. TFTC
A few logs have noted that this cache is not under the bridge. When placed and last checked it was under the bridge so it may possibly have been replaced in the wrong location. There also appears to be camera in place now. I dont know when Ill be able to have a look at it, probably a few weeks so please be patient. I will probably archive for these reasons including myself moving away from the cache a few months ago, unless someone is willing to adopt.
Tricky with sleeping fishermen near GZ. Should be around but we cant find it within 20 mins. Another time
Did my part in picking up some rubbish. Very Smokey today with hazard reduction burns and felt uneasy with the camera, thanks for the placement
Greetings from Ireland!
I am driving from Sydney to Brisbane over around 5 days and stopping at certain caches as I go.

Some junkies shooting up while fishing under the bridge made this a horrible experience. Tftn.
Ah, Brooklyn Bridge - I often cross it, but by the time you get this far all I can think about is lets get home.
I have managed to stop here before to look for the cache. First time - no hope, muggled out by a large group of fisherpeople. Second time - looked everywhere and just couldn't find it. Was it still there? Some logs suggested maybe not.
So I watched it. Hmm, a few recent finds, so today I stopped.
Armed with a bit of information I was able to narrow my search area.
Found!
How did I not find that before? I definitely looked there but thinking back maybe the sun was in the wrong spot and made it extremely hard to see.
Glad to avenge the previous DNF.

Took a few minutes to find as it was a bit disgusting with urine, rubbish and security cameras. But got it in the end.
Took a few minutes to find this in fading light but geokid made the find. Quickly signed and raced back to the car to get out of the cold.
On our way to Maitland we stopped for a morning tea break, stretch our legs and let the geodog have a little run. I approached GZ and after a quick search it was CIH. Found with Cryptic8 and GeodogZelda. TFTC
Staying nearby so had a couple of opportunities to try this but each time was grossed out by the urine smell and rubbish, not to mention the cameras. Obviously a popular fishing spot but also for the homeless. No luck this time, will come back with gloves next time.
While staying at the nearby boat ramp we went for a stroll to GZ and saw the cameras in action. Waited for a while and decided to give it a go. We searched high and low and finally found the cache not under the bridge.
It was well hidden in its hidey hole tucked away. Signed log and headed off back to camp.
Plenty of fishing muggles about, thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

No luck today. Thought I had a pretty good idea of what to look for, and a bit of guidance from some previous logs, but was unable to find anything that wasn't fixed to the structure.
I did meet a blue-tongue friend who stunning himself on a nearby rock though.

Long search under the bridge...
Found it like 5m. away from the point, not really under the bridge!
Nice place, tftc

This is certainly not a relaxing spot. So noisy . However the cache was soon spotted. The cameras gave me the heebee jeebies so I got out of there as soon as possible.
Driving north in pooring rain, but had to stop here to finally knock this one of the map.

A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.
10:40pm and still a long fisherman under the bridge. We chatted. Here ignored me and I quickly found, signed and replaced the cache without him noticing.

Despite the rain this was a busy little spot with plenty of fishers about so we turned around without looking too hard on our way south, but stopped back here when we were heading back north and managed to make the find after a bit of searching.
Thanks for the cache!

While having a comfort stop in the car park noticed a cache nearby so wandered over and it didn't take too long to find this cleverly hidden cache. Thanks for the cache.
Came back with more confidence to avenge a DNF. Very special part of the world here, thank you
