Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are now back staying in Christchurch popped out to Kaiapoi to clear out a couple of Multis that Mrs McMike2012 had solved this turned out to be easy find, log-book completed & replaced as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,411 for us!
Today is Monday, and I want to complete finds for 2 challenge Monday multis and a 4x4 which needs 4 multis found on a single day. So my goal is for 4. I knew there was going be a train station around. Nice picture, and interesting to see it was near the river. Found the container once my focus was in the good range, Really strange how you can look at a container, but your brain is just not seeing it... Both the container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for the cache!
Seeing it was a nice day today it was time to walk across to the river bank and find some information for this cache.I found the information required online. I had solved this one on a previous visit to Kaiapoi and today I found the cache.Cheers for the cache, Aslan*.
The Seagnoid has come to stay for a long weekend and have some caching adventures. Today we headed to Kaiapoi as I am working on a challenge to find multis on Mondays, and there is quite a few around.A quick stop to gather the information, a short walk to GZ, and a quick find of the cache.
Having worked out the coordinates previously it was a quick find in a discreet place that could have been a busy place TFTC Aslan
Very Happy this cache was replaced as we can get rid of frown face. Need a multi today so good to tick this one off. Thanks for this multi and cache Aslan*.
A nice quick solve while doing the Ad Lab, before heading over to the final. Missed it on the first pass, but soon spotted, TFTC
Mmm. This one had us scratching our heads for a minute but yes we are in the correct place! TFTC
I like multis like this. Found in a group and celebrated zzzmee's 200. Thanks for a nice easy find
An easy find at a lovely location. Found the cache, SL & then enjoyed scones & tea at the nearby Tea House.TFTC,
Only had a quick look but nothing matched the clue. Will check to see if I have done the right calculations
I have reset this one as the building is once again on the move. You will be able to find this by using the information following the photo of the station. Cheers Aslan
Out and about in the middle of the night, and today I need a multi.. A bit of a diversion had me here. I'd got the information some time ago, and had no difficulty locating the cache at GZ. Thanks for the history lesson
TFTC Aslan*, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4093

We have tried to find this one twice previously but wondered if we may of had it wrong. Today we were in the area with two geocachers that had found this. Confirmed their co ords were same as ours so tried again. The four of us failed to find this one.
Interesting info and quickly cornered a couple of items of interest at the final spot.
We were out here doing a couple of other caches and walked past this multi after completing the AdLab.
It was easy to get the numbers using the plaque and Google while Snugpup bought herself some food and drink from the old station.
While she was eating I searched for the cache.
Immediately found two rocks at GZ and thought "yusss!" But they were not concealing a cache.
Searched and dug through leaves and all around but couldn't corner it.
Snugpup also searched but couldn't find it either.
Hopefully it's still there and we're just too tired to see it.

I used google for the research and incorrectly guessed where the final would be hiding, however only a very short away; TFTC
Took a photo of the plaque the other day. Worked out the results at home. Going to grab a couple of items from the supermarket and decided to get this one while I was in the area.
A nice easy find.

A nice quick find this time thanks. We went to the nearby cafe and spotted Ivss_xx looking for the missing plaque. I popped outside and helped where I could!
Ms_KR were the hunt for..... red glace cherries, for the Christmas cache, I mean cake. We hunted in over half a dozen of the usual places with no luck so went caching further afield and had success in Kaiapoi, both cache wise and cherry wise. We celebrated both with lunch.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Yus, this time it worked easily and what do you know: it's lunchtime. Hello Paris. Tftc

The plaques got us really confused but with some googling and a very unexpected appearance of Karma Reprint, the coords were soon obtained.
So only the D value is certainly there and on the plaque.
Then I googled the opening date of the station, but looking at that, A=B-C equation definitely did not hold up. So taking the year and doing the maths worked. So that was ABCD sorted. I was about to google the E but then KR told me what that was so didn't need to.
And then we also discovered that our pens were back in the car that we left at the start of the Adventure Lab. So I hope photolog is acceptable.
Kia ora! Paldies!
TFTC, Aslan*!

Quick and easy to get the numbers then onto the final, took a bit of digging and there it was. Cheers
#10,200. We have been on the road for 6 days now and finally back in Christchurch. Doing the nearby adventure lab. Infoferret had already solved this one previously so pointed out where the cache was hidden. I located the container, signed the log and returned where found. Back home in Wellington I used the internet to check the numbers. They got me close but the source I found had the wrong date in Feb. Once that was resolved the numbers fell into place, check sums were met and the mapped coordinates matched where I had found the cache. Thanks Aslan* for the history of this station.
#20321. Last multi-dot-day of the year, and this multi was the last unfound one "close" by. I had the coords from when I located it with Troodles some time back. So, it was just a matter of leaving work a little early, and making a bit of a detour on my bike road home (so it took a couple of hours to get home, rather than 15 to 20 minutes). It was a nice day for a bike ride, and a reasonably quick find once at GZ. Started the year with 40-odd multi-dot-days, and have managed to get that down to 16. Next one is in April next year; hopefully a few multis get published in the meantime! TFTC.
Obviously there's a plaque missing judging by the mark on the wall. Managed to find the likely final with Google help, but spooked by passers by and gross rubbish at possible GZ. Afternoon in Paris was fun for morning tea. Thanks anyway.
We visited at the same time as doing StreetwalkerNZ's [adventure lab](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC95R2D) on a sunny afternoon in an otherwise rainy week. This was on the route. We made a quick find. TFTC!
Heading back to Nelson with paddle chick getting a few caches on the way .Thanks for this Multi Aslan*
18 July 2021 12:08 pm #3527 The puzzle was simple once we walked up the ramp to be able to read the information. Shifted far more autumn leaves than we should of to make the find. TFTC Aslan*
I remember this building being in a slightly different spot. Was involved with that relocation project.
We done this small multi during in the middle of the nearby Adventure Lab. There was one answer we werent quite confidant about but the checksum worked out so off we went. It had spit abit earlier so looking at GZ wasnt that fun in wet foilage especially as Mum had over looked the cache in the first spot she checked and I found it retracing the likely spots. Thanks for the small multi and the smiley
I am down in Blenheim for some cache maintenance and Taybeedragon suggested a trip to Christchurch. Good idea! So we teamed up and here we are.
Stopped by where while doing the Adventure Lab. There was a lady setting up for the Saturday Morning Markets - just her, no one else had arrived. Shows how early we were! Bit of a challenge to find under all the dead leaves, turned out we were too enthusiastic and thinking the cache was harder than it actually was!

Its still early with daylight just arriving when we reach Kaiapoi. Now a wander around her for a LAB and this multi. The search took way too long with me excavating the area while I was practically kneeling one it. The Seagnoid comes to the rescue and finds it. Cheers
The Seagnoid is down for some cache maintenance but lots of xtra time to wander. I need some caches for my technology Souvineer, with Christchurch our agreed destination for a couple of days. Arrived late Friday night with Toby and Zara. So lets go exploring!

Nice little multi . Customers obstructed my first attempt to see the info and I got a number wrong . But soon checked once clear then quick find . Interesting history thanks .
A railway station with an interesting history, and we soon had some coordinates, but although they took us to an appropriate location matching the hint, finding the well buried cache took us a while. TFTC
Second ever multi feel like letting the kids hunt made this much harder then it needed to be haha. Thanks for this great bit of

For the third day running, both StreetWalkerNZ and I needed some cache finds to bring our total for 28 March to a nice green 26 on our stats page. I needed 10, while SW needed just 6 so we decided to head to Kaiapoi where I could do SW's ad lab there.
I needed a multi find today as I have never found a multi on the 28 March despite having cached for many years. SW didn't but he gathered the info while I carried on doing the final 2 nearby WPs for the ad lab. He even found the cache for me .
As soon as I saw the photo of the station on the cache page, I knew it would have to be a Troup one as his style is very distinctive. There is a larger station that he designed in Lower Hutt, (Western Hutt station) which is on the Melling line, and of course, the Dunedin railway station is his design as well.
I'm pleased that the station has been restored and is being used. Well worth a cache placement. TFTC.

It's been a while since I cached much. It was nice to spend the afternoon targeting a few for the natural wonders attached. In the end I got all the natural wonders I needed and even made a start on the Solar System wonders.
Hmm. I'd actually told myself I was finished for the day, but I was driving past so what was I to do?
I parked very near the waypoint and soon had the answers I needed. No need to return to the car, I wandered to GZ and proceeded to practice a masterclass in making the search harder than it needed to be. Guess who was over-thinking the hint! I was about to log a DNF when something in my brain clicked and I spotted the very obvious hide. Ha!

Just looked at this cache page for the first time. I remember being involved with the 2002 work on that building.
Found today with KotukuSI. Really enjoyed the surrounding area with all the plaques and history. Thanks for taking us there. TFTH
Caching around Kaiapoi today with Busy Paws -I had solved this in advance & we stopped here on our way around the Adv Lab series.
Thanks for the Multi-puzzle & the cache, Aslan*.

Performing cache maintenance nearby so thought id knock this one off. Nice history. Thanks.
Out caching with family, who patiently waited for me to find caches. This was a fun one to do!
Like Jess I was in the vicinity doing the adlab so did this one as well. Thanks, Aslan*!

Number 9035. After today's Orienteering event, we headed into town in search of lunch. Found some shade and the picnic tables, then I reasised how close we were sitting to this one. Information spotted, calculations done, cache found! Tftc.
The numbers were soon sorted and the cache was a quick find. Thanks for another slice of railway history. TFTC.
I was sitting in the cafe called Paris for a Weekend when I decided to check for nearby caches. Quickly got the answers and the cache was a quick find.
After getting caught up with the Santa Parade yesterday and not being able to make the numbers work , we came home to sleep on it and try again today. Things had changed overnight and the numbers now fitted and seemed to lead to a suitable spot. (Which we were beside yesterday) Had to wait for a muggle and dog to move away and then it was an easy find. Thanks Aslan*
Often wondered about this building and never spotted the plaques before now. Quite enlightening !!! Parked up, ate our Subway and prepared for a walk to GZ only to find it was about 18metres away. Another excellent Railway cache .Thank you Gr.
What's this a new cache published in my town, just as I was about to go watch the town's Christmas Parade? . Well, that was too good an opportunity to go get a possible FTF, so I made a quick note of what was required (after messaging the CO about his spelling of the town's name) and headed for GZ. The numbers were quickly obtained, but then I noted that my southern checksum didn't agree with the CO's! Decided to trust my number and shortly thereafter found the cache. Yea! A FTF. My first since way way back. Thanks for the placement Aslan*
