Yay time for another Tuesday Trekking, for 3 confused geocachers.Today's plan was for the ttrogg to pick up the Rat from the Rat's nest.We jumped into the ttrogg mobile, and headed for the starfishs pond. Then we piled into the Starfish mobile, and headed for Ngarkat CP.Found whilst in the park we stopped here to find a cache.Stamped the logbook. Tftc
Made the nice walk up here today after driving the track from the south. After reading Hurtles log I bought a spare up here, the log book and cache were drenched so emptied and it out and dried it the best I could placed a new book in to keep it hopefully all good This weekend I headed down to Naracoorte for the weekly parkrun, after staying the night in town it was time to head home, I detour via the back roads and up through Ngarkat national park before making my way along the mallee highway finding some of the newer caches in the areaThanks for the cache
Detoured here, whilst on way around the playing field for the June LWE Gameday..Found it about 8m from listed, but is in obvious spot as per hint.Loved the track to get here from Box Flat... wasn't too strenuous on the car, and very few really soft spots, but definitely need high clearance! The cache is very wet, needs some TLC... alas I wasn't doing that hill again. Sorry.Scored 21 months of unloved too...An oldie too!TNLNSL Thanks

Lots of rain made the sandy sections easier than I image they normally would be. A wedge tail eagle came cruising by at the same height as me just as I reached the summit.
Not a get well card in sight.
The log was damp but other wise fine
Thanks Trigger Fish for placing & maintaining this cache.
Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK

A quick trip to Ngarkat for a camping weekend was planned with Baking Tray Pancakes. We camped at Rabbit Island Soak camp-site and enjoyed a few caches.
We parked at the bottom of the hill in the "carpark". Thanks for the walk up the hill, the views are well worth it.
As we were leaving, the sand was very soft and it was the only time we had to use low gear all weekend to get out of the carpark.

If Jimmy lived out here how could he be anything but well. A beautiful day to explore Ngarkat today. TFTC
Some days you just have to get in the geobeast and see where you end up!
So here we are. At your cache!
We heeded the recommendation. 4wd engaged Tyres down. And still found the massive hole in the sand on the northern approach.. Recovery gear in said 4wd is always handy. played in the sandpit for a while with the maxtrax and soon was climbing to the cache!!
A nice bright find on a hill with great views.
I have a friend who busks. He's called Jimmy One-leg. Cool dude. Has a banjo, guitar thingies and knows how to tame a drop bear. He's fully sick.
This Jimmy wasn't sick - although with my driving along his well track he may be soon!!!
Much gratitude to Trigger_Fish for placing and maintaining this one
WELL done. Gets a fav for a fun experience!
"A cache a day keeps the doctor away" - every find brings a smile to our map
Found with Jack on a drive out thataway!!!
----------------------------------------------------
- - search at a good social distance whenever you can - -
Things are slowly getting back to whatever normal is - take it carefully!
Catching covid or gastro or anything really would mess up your streaks!
Keep away from all the nasty bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course )
[|)] - 2, 4, 6, 8,,, let's all go and vaccinate!
[|)] - keep away from crowds as much as you can, they spread those nasty bugs! [:o)]
[|)] - go out and find or place some new caches in our safe country areas away from bugs!!
Life's good. Enjoy ! ! !

After four days in the southeast and Coorong earlier in the week, I returned with FeatherWaite for an extended weekend of caching in the area.
We traveled down the Coorong through Kingston and across to Millicent, then cached around Millicent and attended the events. On the second day we toured around Tantanoola before making our way up to Naracoorte for the evening.
We camped out near Millicent on the first night and at Cockatoo Lake, north of Narracoorte on the second.
On the final day we headed up to Mundulla, Bordertown and Keith, then through Ngarkat to Lameroo before heading for home.
Thanks Trigger_Fish for the cache.

Well this is sick. The views are to die for so don't get sick up here. Take the tissues in case your nose bleeds. Wow. You could probably even get Vodafone reception here. Who knows!!
A fun drive with four-fun saw us both investigate the area while discovering this cache.
Some pictures included for your enjoyment. Did I mention FTF
Thanks to Trigger_Fish and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Jimmy may not be sick but he must be somewhat exhausted after that climb
Great to get an unexpected FTF while in the park
Cheers & TFTC and the exercise
