Deciding on a solo run over to Coochiemudlo today to grab all the caches on the island, it turned out to be a pretty good day for it, apart from the humidity. After looking way too high, I changed my perspective and soon made a quick find.I found your cache, HiGhS & LoWs today.TheSherie, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Our adventures today take us along with ILTW and Legend to explore the geocaches of Coochiemudlo. Lucky we came through at the right tide . Thanks for the cache.
We had a free day, so it was time to take the ferry and enjoy a day of geocaching on Coochimudlo Island with Legend and Sniggypop. Good timing today. No need to get wet
On Coochiemudlo Island for a Cub Scout adventurous journey and found this one.TFTC
After taking a bunch of photos nearby and enjoying the sunset, we quickly wandered over to this cache, able to keep our shoes on and keep dry. I had originally planned to ignore this cache, thinking it would be too hard to get to, but once here, we found it was a very good time to cache here. Thanks for the cache.
We came prepared for this one; water shoes and shorts under jeans that I could just take off.Ser low tide so didn't need to changeHappy to say we made short work of this one.Loved itThanks TheSherieGreat first cache of the day.
Amazing cache! My favourite one yet! Following photo shows the cache in it for those who get stuck!
An extended stop this time to take a dip and to swim / wade out to the cache, as it was full tide or not long after. Such fun & Ive not done anything like that before for caching. So yet another favourite point from me - for the experience.
I had a great day out today riding around Coochiemudlo Is with elina_maree and TevlaGaming. Despite a few hiccups along the way we were very proud to find 18/18 caches.I am so glad the tide was fairly high when we got here as we all had great fun wading out to the cache. It was shallow enough that I was comfortable enough bringing my phone out and we took some great photos. Then we just stayed in the water for a while. Nobody really felt like getting out and getting back on our bikes, but eventually we decided we wanted to try and finish all the caches on the island before it got dark. Thanks for a fun find TheSherie. I feel like this cache really captured the essence of island life for us. FP from me!
A day trip to Coochie Island, spying the 18 geocachesWhat a beautiful day it was, glorious sunshine and calm skies as we made our way around the picturesque island on the well marked pathwaysLove the creativity of the CO in all the placements on Coochie !!!Luck was on our side as we arrived at 'LoWs' and a quick find was a nice change, TFTC TheSherie
Early morning low tide and perfect time to grab the cache with Sniff Me. And luckily for me it was low tide as I kept dropping the tightly bundled up cache.
The cache is definitely still in place. The zip tie found is unrelated to the cache.
Needs maintenance we found a zip tie on the floor and we believe this was the cache. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Took a while, but sooo obvious when you spot it. I passed so close when I first went in at low tide. All good with the cache. TFTC plus an FP.
Morning kayak from the mainland for a geo loop of the island with friends. This was a tricky one, good spotting by divehelen. TFTC
Had to get my feet wet for this one this afternoon. Cache blends in very well. TFTC
Had a lot of fun getting out to this, approached from two angles! Number 500 for us and such a brilliant one to mark the occasion, thanks for the cache!
Thankfully the beach was empty as I stripped down to my underwear and waded out. Thanks for the fun TheSherie
This one took me two tries on two different days! I was looking in the wrong spot the whole time - changed the way I looked at the location and found it immediately. Blends in seamlessly! TFTC .
Was a good find!
We found it while boating, a couple of fellas decided to spectate, it was a good hiding spot!
We almost didn’t find it!

Had the tide with us but alas time was against us to get back to the mainland to collect the dog! TFTC
We seemed to make that harder than it needed to be. Timed it nicely with the tides. But spent far too long searching high and low.

Out for the day with Patrol14 and TMZ59… We had some back and forth trying to decide where to come today, and after dismissing Stanthorpe as really to far, Patrol14 suggested Coochiemudlo… so here we are… Only on the way over, did we find out Patrol14 has found everything out here…
This is our first find of the day…. As we were conscious of the tides… a relatively quick find… tftc…

Easy walk out to cache. Found cache and signed log. Returned cache as found. Thought we’d venture across to Coochie for the day with patrol14 and Peppa. Beautiful day for finding a cache or two. TFTC.
I came across this cache about half way through my walk around Coochiemudlo Island. Yesterday I did a long walk along the Redlands coast in heavy rain which triggered a wonderful memory that I wrote about in a log. I was hoping there would be heavy rain today haha, yes I’m different. Clouds but no rain while on this island. As luck would have it though I arrived here while the tide was out so it was a quick find before heading to Beach Bar for a cool red lager. Thanks for the cache.
Cheers

This was funny. As we approached we saw this family hanging around the tree and one in the tree. Immediately I knew they could only be cachers. They asked us as we approached if we were cachers. They said they had been at the tree 4 times previously and not found it. I was just telling them what the cache is likely to be and how they might be likely to find it and as I said what it was, there it was as plain as day for all to see. Funny. They thought I had magic powers of some sort. Quick sign, quick chat and we were on our way. TFTC.
Holy Moly, that was so obvious once seen, haha, loved the dip in the water.

Out today with Green Geckos and Muggle65. Coochiemudlo was our location of caching today. It had been on my target list for awhile. We caught the barge to take our bicycles over.
Excellent weather for our caching day. We found 17 caches. 14 traditional and 3 earthcache.
One cache we tried to give a smiley had two groups having a picnic at GZ, so we gave up on it.
Sorry for the generic log

This hide was a HARD find. The intrepid trio hit the causeway & it took ages to zero in as it blends so seamlessly
We decided to head over to this beautiful slice of Queensland to spend a day caching and enjoy the ocean air. We were lucky with our timing as the tide was out when we were searching after looking high then looking low i decided on another approach and spotted this sneaky hide. Tftc TheSherie
Found it! Exciting one with the kids. Out for a family stroll for Fathers Day. TFTF
We've come over to Coochiemudlo Island with our bikes to see the sights and collect the caches. I was a bit concerned we wouldn't be able to find this one without getting wet feet but we were in luck. And lucky enough to locate it fairly fast before the incoming tide reached us

Attended an Event on Coochie today so why not find all the available caches with a group of geo-friends. It didn't take long before we had this cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced as found. TFTC
Today, it was a fun-filled day with the morning consisting of a visit to Coochiemudlo Island, and in the afternoon, georode and I went tree fishing and completed a few field puzzles targeting the oldie *IQ* series.
Following my attendance at Cleveland parkrun, I joined a few fellow Geocachers with a ferry over to the island, taking our bikes to sightsee around. It was an enjoyable event and cycle around seeing a few quirky houses and pleasant scenery at the bay's edge.
In the afternoon, a small group completed a few geocaches in Victoria Point, before georode and I headed to Alexandra Hills. That particular tree fishing geocache cluster took longer than anticipated, and we closed out the day with a visit to Minnippi Wetlands.
This was another geocache that our group, chamad, georode, Orange Crew and I, rode our bikes to on our island tour ride. We parked our bikes nearby, making the final 60 m on foot to the end peninsula point. If we wanted to get this cache find, then we would need to get our feet wet, and so the shoes came off indeed. There was quite a bit of sharp razorback fish, so we did our best to avoid those with having little protection, whilst graciously searching the trees. Eventually chamad made the find, and it had blended in nicely. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TheSherie MmmmKay for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After attending the beaut Event on this nice island, a group of us joined forces and made our way around finding some very interesting caches.
Waded out with jebjeb to the tree but managed to cut my feet on oyster shells along the way. Took us a little while to locate the cache, but DeafPhantom found it eventually.

Blood was shed retrieving this cache. Those rock oysters are nasty.

Coochie! A great little Island. We took the GEOvehicle over to get around due to my knee, and that worked well.
I was the land supervisor. Glad to have that role: I didn't get oyster feet!
Log signed and cache replaced as found on June 12, 2021. TFTC, TheSherie MmmmKay

Our plan was to take the barge to Coochie today to attend the planned event and to find all the caches on the island.
I thought it best not to volunteer here for this one. Grateful for someone else to do. Note: Next time wear water shoes. Oyster rocks play havic with bare feet.

After attending the event earlier, E_smiley and I with our other friends are grabbing the caches on the island. Being on my bike, I am not a quick as the others in vehicles, so when I arrived at the parking spot, a few of the able bodied members of the group were already out searching for this cache. Encouraging them from the shore, they finally found the cache.
SL then returned as found. (Note - wear wet shoes as the oysters are nasty)...

Over on Coochie today for a catch up event, I took the bike over on the barge with a few others. Seems we are a little early so it’s a couple of caches before the event. Last time I was here it was just systemia containers and mint tins and a lot of those have gone and been archived now. So it’s a new set of caches on the island and all being done by bike today.
After the event it seemed we all split into groups and went to search the island for caches. This one I went for a walk in the cool waters to arrive at GZ. The walk out trying not to stand on oysters was more important than the numbing water on my feet. A search around and the cache was soon spied. The art of retrieval and not dropping the log was the next tricky part. It was nice to see the others stay dry and on land, supposedly “watching the bikes” from around the corner, hmmm. A nice team effort.
With the log signed and cache replaced as found we were onto the next. Thanks for placing this one here.

We were on Coochie Island for an event and found some other caches on this island as well.
We've had to wade through the water to reach the cache and I've hurt my foot on the way.

Chamad and Davidwazza deserve a special mention here for taking one for the team by wading out through the chilly water. We played an important part too by keeping an eye on their bikes
Find #11109 @ 10:16
Thanks TheSherie MmmmKay for giving us a reason to visit.

Last minute decision to take our bikes to Coochie for the event. Beautiful weather and managed to get all the caches not previously found. Always good to catch up with fellow cachers. Thanks jebjeb for getting your feet wet. Thanks TheSherie MmmmKay for the cache.
That took longer than it should of but after a lot of searching finally had cache in hand. Beautiful spot tftc
Today teamdfl and I took the bikes out to Coochiemudlo Island for a ride and to collect all the new caches that have been placed here.
With the tide well out we made our way to GZ where we found two likely trees, and although we trawled all over them and then widened the search area about 20 metres, we didn't get a smiley

The cache was only checked a day or so ago and everything was in place.
Thinking perhaps we should up the difficulty level on this one.
Will double check on the cache within the next couple of days just to be sure.

Despite checking the location 3 times, top to bottom, we weren't able to locate thr cache.
Another sneaky hide. Didn't sign the log as we lost our pen along the way. TFTC The Domjahn's
Took us quite a while, but perseverance paid off. Tftc and the challenge. ️
