Another successful find was made here together with ilook4geo. It is in a favourite type of hide and the log now has two more names on it. All is in good order. Thanks you to the DARKSIDEDAN for this cache placement.

Yass/Canberra trip. Day One My son and I headed off on our annual caching trip. Of late its around 7 days away. I found 13 caches today most were found for a challenge and the other was found for my 20th loop. Yippee All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find. Day Two9 found today I was picking up a new LGA. In the end I needed to pickup the speed and less caching. The push to Yass was that the office closed at 6pm. All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find.Day Three. My son and I were up early for day of caching. We headed to Canberra chasing a lot of challenges. I signed 31 challenges today. I will need to find which ones I qualify for. I also found three trads. One of them took awhile to find.I had a good day caching in Canberra. Day FourMy Son stayed at the caravan park today. I had organise to cache with JACS Team today. With a late message from GreenGecko1 about getting help with a very big ladder to do some hard to get to caches. So few of this morning caches Sue001 joined us. Most of the climbs were done by GreenGecko1. The rest of the day JACS team and race up and down the road finding and signing log. I signed 43 challenges and 12 other caches. It was a found day today caching.Day 5, My son and I headed to Canberra again today to sign more challenge caches. In the end it was 31 caches. Then I decided to chase virtual as I couldnt find many in SEQ. I did 10 today. Plus finish with a multi. My son and I had really good fun day. Then we headed back to Yass.DARKSIDEDAN thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment. In

A quick find in an old faithful hide .

I liked the T rating on this one, as one foot was totally bruised from a rock fall and one knee was the size of a soccer ball (that might be a bit exaggerated but it sure felt like that) Thank you for a fun cache DSD

This one was good fun to try and figure out thanks.

I don't get out this way very often, so this has been on the to-do list for a while.
First time round I missed a few things and was scratching my head, wondering why the numbers were wacky. Second time around I ramped up my powers of observation and the numbers work out well. I made the trek to GZ and found the cache shortly afterwards.

I WAS going to do the multi part of this BUT I spotted something while arriving and I was like, haha it would be really funny if it was ther- oh there it is lol.

Nice new log all good!

04-Jan-23
I had a look at a nearby multi and grabbed what I needed for the final, but decided not to have a decent look as it was near sundown and other logs were saying how difficult the final was.

So I rode a bit further out to the part of Canberra where the suburbs end. I thought it was quite and interesting area. Got the numbers and found the cache without too much hassle, and while I was here got the info for the other multi as well. I wandered over to the border to see what was there (spoiler alert: not a great deal), but decided I will have to come back as the nature reserve piqued my interest Smile

Thanks for taking me out this way!

Found this the other day, moments before the heavens opened. Fun find!

09-Sep-21
Quite a few people out and about this late afternoon enjoying their lockdown exercise. I collected the details I needed for this and another multi and figured out their finals whilst walking back from finding the nearby trad at the border. Some of the questions were a little tricky but still reasonably straight forward. This one was a nice quick find once I had the coords even in the fast descending night time. I'm pretty sure I found a trad here once before. TFTM

27-Aug-21
A bitter cold day to be out for a walk, but if you walk fast enough with the obligatory mask on you soon feel like you’re walking in a sauna!

Grabbed all I needed from around the pond before heading out. An interesting multi to solve and a beautiful area to explore whilst doing it. Thanks for the cache.

27-Aug-21
Needing non-trad for a challenge today, I was happy to have this one unfound close to home and in a terrific area to go for my daily 1 hr walk. Quickly solved and quickly located. TFTC

I wanted a find this weekend, for the Souvenir ... we are in Covid lockdown at the moment, so it was a good thing I had totally forgotten about this cache - hidden under the icon for the other multi that starts in the same place, and only 370m from my house! lol
I decided to get the info and find the cache for my one hour of outdoor excercise, so off I headed, pen and paper in pocket so I could write the answers and do the maths ... but, having seen a previous log mentioning there having been a previous cache in the same spot, and having also noticed that a cache I had found in the area had been archived, and as I was walking past that spot on my way to the sign with the info - I just had to look ... yep - found it Smile
TFTC - I was going to gather the info (or take a photo so I could gather the info at home) and do the maths/etc and see if I got the right answer ... but my goldfish brain had other ideas ... will grab a photo of the sign next time I go past (sometime in the next few days) and do the figuring out bit at home ... I might get a vaguely correct set of coords - lol
I am not sure why I didn't have a watch on that other cache - if I had noticed when it was archived I would have hidden one there, or so.ewhere very close by ... and oddly enough - the name I would have given it is the name of this cache - LOL

Gathered the required details but ran out of time to calculate them. Worked out GZ at home that night, and low and behold. A quick find, sign and replace on my return. TNLNSL TFTC

Slight miscalculation gave me a crazy answer, but soon corrected and the cache was quickly found.

Thanks

Its not often a weekend rolls arounds without plans, but seems I wasn't to have any. So decided to keep myself busy and make some myself so went out yesterday to tackle a few multis and AL's in the area. A phone call from mum late in the day put a stop to any more advancement so I picked up today where I left off. I was keen to see to this Multi before I continued on with the other multi ending nearby just incase it went close.

Sure did have to think the questions through clearly, managed okay but my GZ looked off, a double check over the questions had the correction found easily and the cache soon located. The wind was bitterly cold and so was I so walking to the other cache just didn't appeal given how frozen i was! With this cache found it was home and will return another day, a warmer day for the other! Thanks for the cache Darksidedan.

On the way to find another multi we passed by this one on a damp, gloomy, day. Soon had all the required data and made the very very quick find - thanks, DSD!

Found with SA and MB. TFTC

27-Jun-21
Loved this mind-twisting multi questions thinking 'where is this going to take me today'. Like a previous cacher, it took me far longer to calculate GZ then it was to find and sign the cache - and I’m not complaining either but it was all too funny in the end. Good one! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN,

21-Jun-21
Took longer to work it out than it did to find. But a lovely spot to sit and work it out. Tftc

#11539 - 12:15:00 PM; Needed a multi for a daily challenge, so headed over to the pond to try for another nearby. Stumbled upon this one hiding out in a spot I'm sure had a different cache in it on my previous visit! Signed the log and then after some detective work identified this as the cache I had just found! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN Smile

Cache 7496 on 29 Apr 2021.

After finding a few caches before work today, I still needed two more for one of my stupid challenges, so headed out with Bobl27 at lunchtime. Good to get my head away from work and other stuff on my mind.

Worked out the coords, which looked wrong, then had a brain wave, and got much better looking coords. Unfortunately the cache was in a mess, with unidentifiable brown muck on top of the log - deliberately done so as the outside of the cache was clean. I let the CO know (along with a photo of the mess).

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

To the jerk who decided this would be funny, it is not. If you don’t like the CO, or geocaching, you have other choices, rather than messing up the game for everyone else.

Quite by accident, I stumbled across the final on my way to WP1. TFTC

Had been out this way before and were in the area looking after a fur kid before the big game today as we decided to kill some time and nerves and collect a few caches.

Came across a man while in the area doing water testing.
Quick find after working GZ out.

Thanks for the multi DARKSIDEDAN

23,789. Found during a trip to Canberra doing some domestics.

With the real world needing some attention I only had time to grab this cache today - convenient since I needed a Multi for a personal challenge I'm doing. Back in my old stomping ground (I built a house near here in 1998) I know this pond pretty well, so it was fun to re-visit and gather the required info. With GZ calculated I arrived for a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next chore.

Thanks DSD !!

Found this cache during a work shift, was up in Dunlop and had a 30 minute break to kill! Parked near the gate and wandered in, found myself at a familiar sign and did the calculations. Was happy to see the cache wasn't a huge distance away, so headed to GZ and was soon signing the log!

I do love a quick and easy multi, and this was definitely one of those! Always prefer that to a traditional, especially if there is something interesting to observe!

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for another cache in this familiar spot Smile

Second last for the day after the group find out at Hall. Parked in a familiar spot and once at GZ soon had the in hand. Great memories from the mid 70's riding around this area.....it certainly has changed over time....fav point for the memories.

Thanks DSD....

Headed into Canberra with fitzy_1965 for group cache find this morning.

After all that was done, we teamed up with albida33, strangetrousers, smittengranny & Sol de Lune to do a few more harder caches that we hadn't attempted before. Strangetrousers & albida couldn't accompany us for all so left when they had to.

I needed a multi so we stopped by here. Information quickly gathered and a short wander to GZ for a fast find.

Dropped in on this multi on my return from Kitty Litters Lookout and Teaser. Compiled the required data and put together some coordinates. After over 4km’s already was glad that the GZ was nearby. Cache found with ease and replaced. Thanks DSD for the multi. Cheers.

10-Jan-21
After a long sleep after two very late nights at work, I joined Smitten Granny for a few caches on a hot sunny afternoon. It was fun to visit this pond again,, at least it was not far to the cache.

Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

After a big caching on the Bullen Range ridge, I dropped by this cache as I needed a multi today for a challenge. A quick find once the information was gathered. TFTC.

Out with Tankengine and Kittykatch to garb a cache or two before the event.

Looks like our injured Kittykatch, who is currently on crutches, knows someone in high (or low) places as the gate was open and so we did this with ease. Tankengine was the only one who needed to get out and collect the cache once GZ was determined.

Team work made this one super quick to work out and it was easy to know what and how many of stuff you needed from simple deducting once all the numbers were collected. Tftc DARKSIDEDAN!!!

Found with TE and dty73 out for a drive before heading to tonight's event.

Condition Report:. Good and dry
Log Status:. Lots of room

Thanks for hiding this cache DARKSIDEDAN

Chooo ooo [found] - with dty73 and Kittykatch on an afternoon of caching! I have been here many times, but today we made it a driveby, as the gate was open - doesn't get any easier than that! Thanks DARKSIDEDAN!

Found at 1745hrs. I was heading to the area for something else so figured I would try for this on afterwards. I wasn’t overly confident that I would have a shot at the *FTF* but apparently I did! TFTH
