great camo on this one! gps slightly off but by this stage we've noticed a bit of a pattern TFTC!!
TFTC TBS. Another great placement. Interesting mountain bike jumps nearbyJimmytherat with Noelle04.
Found by caughtatwork on 24/08/2024 at 9:59:00 AMA nice find on a weekend of geocaching in and around the Shepperton area.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
13:57Staying in Shepparton for a few days, today being our last, we made an all out effort to find some more of the 'gems' hidden around the flats. A BIG thank you to the CO who placed these caches.36953
Found with LittleBoss2 on our way to a week in Numurkah. Last time we were up here, we were wading through knee deep water for the ones we were able to get to. This time the roads are bone dry, just have to avoid the deep wheel ruts. Quick find , thanks again The Blind Side
Found with Bogonghazy whilst heading to Tocumwal. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
Almost 2 hours into my walk and I've hit the second section of the reserve..this area had a lot of swampy water.
Well, seven is said to be a lucky number for some...
Not so much for me tonight.
My driver displayed endurance and patience as I circled GZ for a bit.
He even put the window down so he could listen to the antics. Silence...
Ironically I have beaten a fellow geocachers streak, and he was the one that assisted me to complete my mission tonight.
The initial cache I set out to find already had been signed on a previous occasion by yours truly, so I guess that log will follow.

With the floodwaters between Shepparton and Mooroopna beginning to recede I expect most if not all of the Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem Series caches to either be washed away or full of water so I am disabling all until I've had the opportunity to inspect and replace. This may take some months as the area is still not accessible and there are 48 to check.
Have a 50th Birthday in Shepp so decided to make a weekend o it and grab some caches. The wetness of the day didn't stop us from finding this one althpugh our feet are starting to get a bit wet. TFTC
Headed out to do some geocaching after dropping geoboy @pokemon card game in shepparton. This geomum is on here own and I'm not complaining. Cache and log in good order. TFTC off to the next one.
Yay! Bingo! Plenty of reasons to visit Shep as as #1 daughter has just moved to this fab rural city for work. Luckily a geobuddy lives here too so I can see plenty of enjoyable times ahead exploring nature and the MTB trails in the Riverland forest. Love the huge old river red gums. Today after delivering a dog and waiting for power to be connected I headed out on trusty treadles to do a loop - really fun on the MTB. I’ll be back for more days the crystal ball. TFTC and the fun!
After a morning out catching up with a well known Caching friend at a popular cafe in Fryers street for a coffee and chat, i made my way to this my 2nd one in this series having got the 'Starting point' cache on the 29th. I was looking forward to a walk in this forest that 4WD Mud-Bashers seem to have adopted [:o]
(Pls note all 10 caches i found today had dry log books and the cache containers were in great condition)
This one was found quickly and the log was signed at 13:41 on the fine and still Thursday 30 June 2022... just a pleasant day with some welcome, mild warmth.

A few muggles on motorbikes wondering why I was getting down and dirty. It may have been an easy find but missed it the first time

First cache of the day and will try and finish this series. Cool spot. Cache was a little wet inside but logbook was dry. Tftc
Out on this frosty day to check out this end of the bush and this was the first find. Great location thanks for leading us to this spot. TFTC
Day #4 and the regional freedom continues! A slow pack up at camp this morning before heading off to grab a couple of local tree climbs and some further work on the Winton Wetlands. The weather today is perfect!
Having finished in Winton I set off for my new camp location via Shepparton and completing a small section of this trail. A tricky hide here and a little different to the previous ones so far.
Thanks The Blind Side for the cache and for contributing to the game.

Nice walk in the bush. TFTC Glad you replaced the log as we all had blue fingers.
Nice easy find on a bush walk today! Found my tay, maizie and sam
Unfortunately the logbook and container and waterlogged. Book is unusable as it’s wet so we were unable to log our find!

When I have completed my 14 days quarantine I will replace log and move container to higher ground.
First day of freedom so l thought l would get out early in the cool air to grab a few more of this series, leaving a couple for a rainy day. This series has been great for the area, and l hope that maybe the CO might consider placing more out here. It was enjoyable to cycle around looking for the varied hides. Thank you The Blind Side for providing and maintaining these caches which were found in good condition.
After a spot of maintenance, Bettyboo3747 and I took the deadly treadlies over to Shepp to do the Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem series.
Could have killed for a decent map of the area, but as mentioned there does not seem to be any around.
A fun single track which we lost several times, but we eventually collected all the caches the series has to offer atm.
Nice sized containers (mostly) and good hides.
The final cache for the day.
Would not like to be here if there was a bit of water in the depression!
Thanks for this series, Robmc.

#17924. An early start from Beechworth, picking up a couple of relatively new caches, doing a spot of maintenance and then heading over to Shepparton to do the Moor-Shepp Series. Much harder work than I anticipated on the narrow tracks with many steep crossings and much backtracking and walking.
It is certainly an extremely dry desolate landscape through here but it once must have looked so different with huge living trees instead of the large dead remnants. It must look so different when there is water in some of the billabongs (or doesn't this ever happen any more)?
Another amazing old tree remnant - so sad to see the giants like this. Last find for the day and now back to the car and off home we go.
Thanks The Blind Side

I was only taking Rex for a run in the forest
Next thing I knew a few hours had passed[?] and I'd found 12 Moor=Shepp caches
We'd had fun wandering, driving and looking in the bush for these hides[^]
Then as we were about to get the last few, dalerious rang and asked if I wanted to do a mad caching dash somewhere with him[?][^] So we never got home as we drove to dalerious' and got into his car[^] and then off to Echuca[^]
I found 1 cache there which brought my day's total to 13 cache finds
The cache I found at Echuca was one that now needed a walk due to a road closure
On a cool night, it was the perfect time to walk in and back out[^][^]
The night was finally concluded by a walk in the Echuca cemetery at midnight while we delivered some letters for dalerious to find a mail run[^]

We are travelling through Shepparton and intended to visit with Cybergran V only to be asked if we had seen the new series, nope we had not. We parked the caravan up, downloaded the caches and off we went.
As mentioned in the cache notes the tracks are suitable for a 2WD with reasonable clearance, you would not want to be in this area in a car if it has been raining. Ideally doing the circuit on a mountain bike is the way to go, not an item we have in the car with us.
All the caches have lovely pieces of swag in them and they are in good condition. A couple of sneaky hides, and one laying out on the ground sunning itself. Today our Garmin Montana 680T told us the co-ords were flaky with some being good and some on average around 10 meters out, the worst being 13 meters. This should not cause anyone any problems if you are an experienced cacher as the hides are obvious.
We enjoyed our journey in this area and we collected one pathtag and one TB on our travels.

Thank you to The Blind Side for placing these caches! Straightforward caches and a fun bike trail makes this a perfect family outing
Another Hidden Gem ticked off. Another great spot. The highlight was seeing a local wallaby sheltering from the heat at Hidden Gem No 4. TFTC and a awesome series thus far The Blind Side
Another amazing place to hide a cache. Thanks for all your efforts that you’ve gone to to hide these caches for our enjoyment.
This has been fun finding your caches The Blind Side.
Hopefully we will do the others next time we visit
Shepparton. We were able to finish the Modern Wonder
Challenge here.
Thanks heaps

After some fun on Victoria Lake with Beavar, we decided to add this little series to our caching adventures around Shepparton today. More kangaroos seen. SL at 3.00pm #7609 TFTC The Blind Side
#4413 Fooled us for a while not helped by the GPS constantly changing its mind to where gz is. In the end just looked for the cache and not at the GPS screen and the cheeky bugger was finally spotted! TFTC The Blind Side.
found 27/12/20
Even tho we live close I can’t remember being in this area before but that what makes Geocaching
Thanks Blindside for some one new to the game you are doing an amazing job.
Log signed and cache returned.

Joint *FTF* with Muggle Hubby and dalerious.
The cicadas are singing Christmas Carols. It’s a beautiful hot sunny Boxing Day, and what better way to spend it than driving through the Aussie bush.
Thankyou for the entertainment this arvo, it was rather quiet sitting at home, this is far more exciting.
Hoping you and your family are having quality time together too.

Joint {FTF} @4:50pm with Cybergran V (and her MuggleHubby) on Boxing Day.
We were sitting around with bellies still full of Christmas cheer and trying to figure out how to fill in the afternoon when notification of 4 new caches popped up. [8)]
My geosenses were on fire. I even managed to find this one within the first dozen of places we looked.
TFTC The Blind Side.
Hoping you and yours had a Christmas season as bountiful as ours.
