Out today with ILTW and Legend to do some more of The Drum. All the puzzles have been done in advance so a nice easy walk and find. TFTC

Out on a very warm day geocaching with Legend and Sniggypop to try to find the rest of the drum caches that we solved earlier this year. Quickly spotted and used the tool to retrieve it. Log stamped and return to its place.

So continuing on from two letterbox finds where I needed to use a tool of the trade, I spied this solved cache location was pretty much on my way home. I have been to this park before with my son, but didnt have the required tool that day. Todays challenge was spying the cache container. It wasnt as high as I was initially looking, and when spied, it was extracted quickly. The log book is nice and dry and my name was added. All put back where found. Thanks very much Willis007 for creating this cache and the series. The solved geoart parts are starting to take shape. Cheers

Tis easy when you suddenly see it hanging there. Thanks for the series Willis007.

We had to be quick busting out the TOTT of this one, with lots of muggles out walking in the area. But with some team work we quickly accessed this cache, signed it, then returned it to its home.

Sooo glad we remembered to bring our TOTT today. This one is the only one on our list that will be too high for a Matt . Took about 5 minutes to zero in on the hide but an easy retrieval. Thanks Willis007 for this cache.

Muggle65 and l decided to empty our solved puzzle box a bit today. We hardly ever seem to go for the ones closer to home, so today was the day. This one is in great condition. Pleased to see that there was no rubbish to be found here!Thank you for the fun

Last drum beat for the afternoon, before we quickly get my final Field Puzzle required for a challenge (nothing like leaving it to the last millisecond). I was super happy to have solved this puzzle. Some of these ones are easy, some are difficult, but this one wasn’t too bad. It’s always a sigh of relief and a bit of a buzz when you realise that you’ve got what you need.

At GZ, I found this one. With Shazzar66. TFTC Willis007

Out and about in the area with Wallaby Wanderers and wonder dog Zelda after a parkrun at Chermside. We collected a few caches today, all were straight forward finds. Thanks to the COs for placing and looking after these ones.

26-Nov-22
The Kit ones I initially couldn’t solve as I had saved the photos as a jpg which didn’t work. Once I got it right, most were easy. The CO has kindly leant me her tree fishing pole while she is away, so this was my first successful solo tree fishing find. Plenty of walkers about but luckily no one came past while I was retrieving and returning the cache. A fp for my first . Tftc

10-Aug-22
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

After completing a nearby Adventure Lab I headed off to try my luck at finding the cache without the appropriate TOTT. Close to the GZ there were a number of suitable fallen branches and I was able to successfully retrieve the cache, sign the log and return the cache to the correct place.

Today we are aiming to spend the day caching in the general area of north Brisbane basically concentrating on Labs, virtual's & earth caches because of the amount of muggles there are and of course anything else that is possible along the way.

Not being very good musicians, especially drummer we thought that this series of caches may be outside our realm of knowledge. Fortunately looking more deeply into it we found the information we required and today came here with everything we were supposed to have. Once at gz the cache was spotted after a very quick search and we are happy to say that our name is in the log book and everything has been returned as it was found.

Thanks Willis for the puzzle and the nice hide.

03-Apr-22
Gunnie69 and I were back to complete the remainder of this series. This time equipped with my nice shiny pole. When spotted, into action I went and had a successful retrieval. TFTC

03-Apr-22
Having tidied up all the caches in this series that did not require a TOTT, NurseyJulie and I left the last half dozen until we had what we needed to enable us to retrieve the containers. Wink It's been a few weeks since our last visit and in that time, NJ was particularly productive and got herself a nice shiny pole. Big Grin

We wandered around this area doing the labs and a trad, before making our way to GZ for this cache. Not far from the path, the TOTT was suitably assembled and NJs first tree fishing cache attempt commenced. [^] Being a nice low one, the container was in hand quite quickly and our mames were added to the log.

Replacement was uneventful and with everything back in place,we headed over the road for the second on the list.

Cheers Willis007

Found this morning on a very wet and muggy morning before work.

The sun had well and truly set by now but there was a tiny bit of daylight left so I thought I'd try for a few more and go tree fishing in the dark!
I parked nearby and grabbed my pole and set off. Up into the bush it was again and with phone torch in hand I scanned the trees. Thankfully it didn't take too long to spot and I managed to deploy my pole and retrieve the cache without too much trouble. I added my name to the log but it took a few attempts to hook it back on the branch as my depth perception is not as good at night, but it is back where it belongs.
This ended up being my last for the day with approx 40 drum beats collected today.
Tftc and a great series Willis007

Taking a sabbatical to put things into perspective and enjoy a bit of nature. With Dawn well past her prime and a long time before Eve gets out of bed, took a walk around this beautiful area. Need to bring my grandkids here to enjoy the sights and activities. Thanks Willis007 for bringing me out here,

Thoroughly enjoyed the morning of my unexpected weekday RDO! A great AdLab nearby to fill in some fun Easy reach for this one! TFTC

10-Sep-21
I was back in the area to clear a few more caches in the series.

I had not read the requirements until I arrived at the search area and then had to return to the car for the TOTT after I spotted the cache.

I decided to find another cache in the area before returning. It took me a few attempts with the TOTT before I managed to retrieve the cache.

Got the puzzle done fairly easily, and krcamber, jodsta83 and I continued our Drum Beat mission this morning, much more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed than we were yesterday!

At GZ, Stephyy spotted it from back there. We’d all walked past it!
Jody donned her fishing gear and made the grab in style.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, Willis007

Swearah had this puzzle solved with no dramas at all. We headed up to GZ after doing the AL and eagle eyes Stephyy spotted the cache and Jodsta83 made the grab. Out of the four of us…..I again, did nothing! TFTPC!

Now that we have more freedom, it's time to get out and about. Target: More of the Drum Beat Series which we started a couple of weeks ago. I figure we shall need another day to finish them off. Our team met up at the Stafford City Shopping Center and we started from there. All up we had just the one DNF at #6.

Great bush track through here. We had the necessary TOTT to retrieve this cache

Log signed and cache replaced as found on 21st August 2021. TFTC, Willis007

After dropping my daughter off at work I decided to go for a walk to get my daily steps. Parked at Chermside West Park and headed off with fishing pole and pen in hand. At GZ I felt quite exposed but then realised everyone was out getting their taste of freedom and really weren’t that worried about others movements. I walked around in circles for a very long time pretending to be a bird watcher till I finally spotted the camo’d cache just sitting there waiting to be found. Out came the pole and in no time I had cache in hand.
This puzzle was too tricky for me and needed a hand with.
Thank you Willis007 for a great variety of puzzles and finds in this series

I struggled with all these picture puzzles until the kindly CO pointed out I had a handy solving tool available. Speaking of tools…
Needing a walk at lunchtime and seeking a few more points for the current ‘science’ challenge or whatever it is, I headed over here. It was raining on and off but I had an umbrella and it was another chance to take off my mask (still mandatory today).
After finding half the AdLab stops, I strolled up to this spot and eventually found the well camouflaged cache. Oops, I’d forgotten this one needed a TOTT because no way is that climbable without a lot of damage.
But wait! What’s this, lying nearby? As ideal a natural tool as it would be possible to find, surely.
In a flash, I had it up and in action and very carefully extracted the cache to my level. Beauty!
After signing up, it could not have been easier to return the cache to its home.
Well, that was a lucky break and a half. TFTC and the fun of the visit today.

Took a bit to spot it but quick retrieval. Only one muggle with a pram walked past while I was signing the log. Thanks for the cache

Last time when we did all the Drum Beat caches we didn't have a pole with us.
Today we came back with a pole together with Echocage1 and grabbed this cache easily.
The container was hanging really low, so we think it is not at the orinal spot, because otherwise we would have gotten it the last time we were here.

A glorious day out on Bike, rolling along to my own rhythm and beat. 4 hours by bike covering 35kms, and a further 4 hours by Suzee car and feet. A glorious day indeed. Spent a few weeks not long after they were released working my way through these puzzles, and today managed to pick up a lot of them. Quick find here and a lovely high note to finish today on. Thanks for all the fun today.

Thanks Willis007 for entertaining me at this location.

Another fun puzzle and today I completed a nearby lab cache and decided just to have a look at this one as I didn't have my TOTT. But at gz I saw what must have been Woody's stick and it was just perfect. I had no trouble retrieving the cache. Happy days . Thankyou once again for all the fun

03-May-21
Mrs Woodyrothwell and I walked into the bush and were soon upon the cache. The problem we discovered was that we had left our TOTT back in the car boot.

This cache didn’t seem that high and I felt that it was time for me to call on all the years of watching Aussie bush legend Russel Coight and manufacture something on the spot. I had some sticks, a rock, dry vine, a faceful of cobweb and a spare testicle to jerry rig something up with.

In the end I found a long stick that was able to reach it. I fashioned a hook with the cobweb on my face and counter-balanced it by tying the rock to it with the vine. The extra testicle wasn’t required and was just a bonus from the find. If future finders have discovered they too have forgotten their TOTT, look for a stick that’s been thrown as far into the bush as possible. Look for the testicle and head in that direction. tftc

Completing a few caches around the area with Davidwazza! TFTC!

21-Apr-21
This afternoon after work, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I needed to undertake a pre-settlement house inspection, and so once that had been completed, we visited a few parks, including Raven Street Reserve. We walked around and targeted the *Downfall Creek - Senses Trail* Adventure Lab, and it was a great little area preserved in nature.

We had initially walked to this geocache whilst being nearby, and as we arrived, I started reading through my personal notes. Oh drat, I needed an extra TOTT. So a quick jog back to the car and return with the needed tool. A bit of fun tree fishing, and the cache was quickly in hand. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Willis007 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

We have now set up camp at the Caboolture showgrounds. We have been joined for a couple of days by pprass.
Today was the 2nd day to finish off the drum series, the puzzles had been completed prior to leaving. home. So much information learnt about drummers & drumming.
This series today we spent about half & half of the time bike riding & by car. The bike riding was by far the most enjoyable.
Thankyou Willis007 for placing this cache.

A puzzle that I required a nudge along to help solve...

Today at GZ there were quite a few muggle groups around...and I may have started to question my choice of a meat hook to use on my TOTT as I think it might intimidate some people... it is quite large...

Anyway, no problems at GZ... though it’s hard to look inconspicuous in a fluorescent yellow tee... tftc... only two more to go...

A team effort to solve all the caches in this series in preparation for burgo78 visiting the big smoke.
Loaded the bikes this morning and set out to log the series by car and bike.
Met some friendly muggles, saw wallabies and a turtle, rode bikes in the mud, and through fast-flowing creeks.
Easy tree climbs and some hard-to-find ones.
Wet feet and shoes all day due to plenty of water in many parks.
The Kedron brook was flowing quickly, would have been an adrenaline-packed paddle today.

Thank you Willis007 for this series and my apologies for the copy-paste logs

This morning Team Tyrrell and I went for a bike ride to collect more of the new drum series. We had good fun and made good progress finding the caches.

Thanks for this enjoyable series and the variety of puzzles and hides!

01-Mar-21
Out and about again with Georode to finish off the drum series. This will be our 2nd day on the geo bikes covering just over 40 km's today ( 80km in total over 2 days of cycling from home.)

I have enjoyed the challenge of solving the various puzzles thrown up by Willis007. Most of them i was able to punch my way through by myself, however a few i needed a kick in the right direction.

Today we had the relevant TOTT to collect the harder to reach caches. I feel like i pushed my way through a hundred spider webs whilst crawling in and around the trees and i must have been bitten at least 10 times by the mozzies but i loved it.

Tanks Lisa for a great series and and extra big thanks for putting it so close to my home Smile
Love your work.

I always seem to either learn something new or remember to do something while caching. Like remember to take a pen and then it was take a spare, remember to take an extraction tool. Today I learnt to read the hints BEFORE you leave the car, on 3 occasions I had to walk a distance back to get a TOTT of some sort. I was in no hurry today so it was nice to just wonder around and enjoy my mistakes.

Just grabbing a few today as I am working up to a milestone and would like to collect that on one of these in this series.

Of the caches I found today all were in good condition; I signed the log and returned as found. Thank you for this series, a good variety of finds today.

I confess, that when we left home to collect this series of Geo art, this was one of the puzzles I still did not have a solve on. I was grateful to be in the company of E_Smiley, Who had done the hard yards on this one and had to coordinates. Yep, I was just a passenger for this one. This said, we were able to provide the trio with the right equipment to retrieve the hide.
Mr Domsky did a nimble job of collecting the container and lowering it to the ground.
The log signed, it was returned back from whence it came.
Thanks Willis007. Really great geoart, A variety of puzzles and some lovely locations visited today.

DisSister re-joined us for the last few caches, this being her first tree-fish. We had two tree fishing poles here toady but they didn’t take the opportunity to duel , despite my singing the "Duelling banjos" ditty. There was some beautiful little wildflowers around and a muggle inspecting us curiously from the path below, though he wouldn't have been able to figure out what we were up to.

15-Feb-21
Out for a Caching Coffee Cycle with LaKedi, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture. We had planned a nice little loop to bang a few Drums along the way, check out the local bike paths and bushland and indulge in caffeine and cakes along the way and then do a round of tree fishing to finish off the days activities.

This was actually the first cache we rode past this morning but was collected on the return as we did not want to carry the TOTT along for the entire ride.

Out for a bike ride early this morning with ruzzelz, Slow Puncture, La Kedi and DisSister. We met at Downfall Creek at 7am and spent just over 4 hours riding 17kms, and I gathered 14 smileys Big Grin

A very straightforward solve here.

The bike ride is now done, but we have a few tree fishing caches to do. An easy walk brought us to GZ, and Slow Puncture did the deed. I believe it is DisSister's first tree fishing cache! TFTC, Willis007.

Monday. A group meet up at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre of LaKedi, Ruzzelz, IolantheK, DisSister and Mrs Slow Puncture at 7am - turned out we rode for 5 hours today gathering some of the Drum caches that we targeted. Well we’d finished the bike riding for the day now and were leaving a few caches that required a TOTT for last. We parked our bikes and headed on in. This cache was spotted way up there and we soon had it down with our trusty TOTT and had our names in the log. I was glad we were coming to the end of the bike ride as it was so humid and I felt stickier than a lolly pop.

This was the 19th of 21 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Willis007*** for showing us this place Razz

09-Feb-21
Spent a few hours banging on drums after a headbanging session nutting out more of the puzzles.

There were some puzzles looks from muggles on the tracks as I walked along with my TOTT. Lucky for me the rangers were busy chatting over by the compost buns so I didn't draw their attention.

Nearing GZ I spotted a wallaby hat wasn't too intimidated by my presence. Once at GZ it was an easy retrieval, looks like I'm 2TF here.
Sprinkling a few FPs around as way of recognition for the mammoth effort it takes to put out a big geoart

As we worked through the mix of puzzles we knew there would be no onsite caching today.
Let the Northside FTF hounds clean up the quick, easy ones then we'll swoop in for some of the more challenging caches, those that make it past the first 24 hours. Big Grin
We had a target of 18 caches on today's list, that were as yet unfound, and the adrenalin was pumping as we set off from the Darkside into the light … the bear went over the mountain, to see what we could see! Smile

***FTF***

Found @ ... oops, forgot to note the time.
A quick solve for this puzzle and quickly added to our growing list.
Arriving in the carpark a short discussion ensued as to whether these 'slightly more distant' caches fitted into our time schedule but one of the goals today WAS to loosen up a bit with some legwork & cardio so in we went. Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
We have found a few caches in the area already so were familiar with what lay ahead but I have to admit that once at GZ we were lost for a few minutes and stumbled around blindly, seemingly (to passing muggles) with no purpose ... perhaps we looked like we were carrying out some long forgotten & abandoned Druid ceremony? [?]
Shaking my head to clear the cobwebs and the cache blindness I turned to the cache page for any help it could provide.
OOOOh ! Surprised
Of course!
This is a tree fishing cache ... EYES UP!!!
Understandably, as we had not checked before leaving the Geo-Beast, we were not really prepared ... not that there was much back there to help, we still need to organise the appropriate 'fishing' gear.
Anyway, back to the cache.
I NOW quickly spotted that which we had come for so now all we had to figure out was how to get to it? [?]
Scouring the surrounding area and each other (including our pocket contents) the McGyver portion of my mind kicked into action and we soon had something which resembled nothing helpful at all but which, with some skilful and artful handling in between passing muggles, soon had the cache launching it's own attack on our intrusion by plummeting to earth in a vain attempt to kill me! Surprised
Opening the container inspired a brief happy dance & high fives as we realised the log was blank.
Made our mark, a nice reward for our efforts here, now ... how to get it back? [?]
Short version, it took longer than getting it down but get it back we did!
Dismantling our contraption and scattering it's pieces to the four corners of the earth (perhaps it was a forgotten Druid ceremony? [?]) we headed back towards the Geo-Beast & I'm sure I noted a slight spring in our step despite our recent gymnastic efforts.

TFTC Willis007 Smile
A favourite point for thre fun we had mcgyvering here & for the first fishing cache of the series.
